LunarScream · 01/10/2007 21:35

For xmas you'd have to DeepAndCrispAndEvenhope of course!

Rosyspookily · 01/10/2007 22:19

That's brilliant Lunar! What about covenhope?

foxcub · 01/10/2007 22:32

Oooh I really miss you lot - love the spooky names (LOL at your virtuous recycling rosy )

have been "busy" on ebay buying new work clothes at a snippet

Back to work today (did 3 hrs reading from home) but back for real tomorrow and am very excited/nervous I won't be able to express - pump is all ready but am I?

I want a realy funny/witty/clever/very scary name and can't think of one quite funny/witty/scary enough!!

Rosy there is something magical about communion isn't there? (Smiles at thought of that dissolving rice paper and sip of wine on a Sunday morning - and people wonder why I like church!)

kittywitch · 01/10/2007 22:40

Evenhope, I remember when ds1 was a wee babe and I gave him a page of magazine to play with, the next thing I know I can't find it and he's lying there with a few shreds hanging out of his mouth. To this day he loves hearing that story!

foxy, can't you're going back to work. Where has the bloody time gone eh?

I bought myself a pair of these not beautiful but wicked for your bum!!

covenhope · 02/10/2007 10:30

Thanks rosy!

(Just checking my profile has followed me!)

Piffle · 02/10/2007 10:40

loving the halloween names, will get thinking cap on...

poor Diva no internet!!!!!!!!
Mossy feel for you, sounds like a bloody tense situation all round

Kitty have you got those and the MBT's?
Your ass must be top notch then surely?
Am loving my MBT's have got some off here for my MIL as well

Rosyspookily · 02/10/2007 11:05

Kitty we've all seen your bottom and I'm sure will agree that it is very small and perky and well worth looking after

muppetrickortreat · 02/10/2007 11:36

Kitty if your bottom gets any smaller it will become concave.

What are MBTs? Will just knowing about them improve my bottom?

kittywitch · 02/10/2007 14:31

I am aupairless, stupid !!!!!

Piffle · 02/10/2007 14:32

kitty what have you done?
LOL

kittywitch · 02/10/2007 16:17

I'm not stupid lol
Well Piff I wasn't prepared to support her all night piss- ups. It was very mean spirited of me and she has decided to leave.
So now I'm on me own until I find another one. I'm cacking m'self. 6 kids, no help. Well it's a good way to loss that extra half stone I s'pose

Calliween · 02/10/2007 17:12

I've joined the coven too .

Foxy, best of luck tomorrow. I'm going to bite the bullet soon and go and sort out return to work crap. Oh joy.

Scarybee - you poor thing! Is there much clearing up to do?

Mossy - exercise is good for depression they say .

Kitty - aarghh with the kids, but good for you too! And yes, I did get used to going out and plan to do more of it now!

I've had a super active baby day today. I took Jordi swimming this am for the first time - he was really good, smiled a lot although had had enough after about 15/20 mins, which I thought was fine for a first time. I went with two mums I met in baby massage, and two of us went for coffee/lunch and feeding babies afterwards. Then when I got home, I took him to a story/song session in the library. He was a bit young to do much in it, but he enjoyed it, and I got to chat to some more people. The librarians were really lovely and friendly too, and have given me info about more age appropriate baby rhyming sessions in other libraries, so result. I'm determined to pack it all in in the next three months before I have to go back. He's so much better for getting out the house, not to mention me...

foxensteinscreature · 02/10/2007 18:23

Grrrrrrrrrrrr

Piffle · 02/10/2007 20:38

I've had grumpiest baby in the world day today, not been good at all, ,y arms ache, he has barely fed - two teethr azor sharp have been through for days but there must be more maybe top ones or are the next bit of these ones wider or playing up? [who knows] but he is howling
finally capitulated and gave nurofen, still took an hour, and even then I was chopping salad, very aggressively - crying and contemplating what had I done, why did I have kids at all... also got my peroid (first one in 17 mths I guess) so I'm sure that played no small part....

Fair nuff kitty, thought she was just stalker esque not a pisser upper as well...
Good luck!
Right must go...

scareybee · 02/10/2007 20:47

Blimey kitty - just been reading your au pair thread Sounds like you are well shot of her. I hope you find someone better soon. For some reason I thought you had 5 kids, not 6. I'd obviously forgotten to add ronnie to my sums. My poor boy, having a mum who is so shit at maths

Well now I have caught elliot's vile cold and feel crap so I'm off to bed soon. Piffle sounds like you're having a day like me. Moaning babies are no fun are they? But then he has lost his voice so instead of yelling, he does mewling. Which is quite sweet and a lot easier on the ear.

Callie - nah, wasn't too bad really but thanks for your concern. Looked dreadful at first. Now it's just patently obvious that the kitchen really needs redecorating

Piffle · 02/10/2007 20:54

god saz never saw your post about the flooding business...
eeeeeks

covenhope · 03/10/2007 11:02

Another moaning baby here too

Yesterday was ghastly. Every time I put her down she grizzled. Then she's going backwards across the floor and getting stuck somewhere and whining some more. Is it teeth?

Calliween · 03/10/2007 14:48

It's warm today, isn't it? Have been out and about in a skirt enjoying the feeling of fresh air about the nethers !!

DS is having a super long sleep right now. It started in town, which enabled me to make an impulse-ish buy in TK Maxx, a coat, which I think I need but am not sure about really, rather than buying the tops etc I really do need. It's the first item of clothing I've bought for myself in nine months. No, longer. And that was only after going through all the baby stuff first. So now I have to make a decision on whether or not spending £60 on an item of questionable needability (?? just made it up) is justified when I have zero income for another three months.

covenhope · 03/10/2007 15:03

Of course you can justify the coat callie. It will be cold now until April so that is 6 months wear

We have 2 dogs- one big and soppy and one small and snappy. Have kept both away from DD. Rentokil was here today and big dog ended up in the room with us. DH had DD so all should have been ok but no, jealous dog jumps up and has scratched DDs face from forehead to cheek bone. (Like the blue line on Bowie ). It wasn't deliberate but I don't think we can keep the dog.

We knew she was hurt because she didn't cry- just got redder and redder then screamed. Poor little love.

foxensteinscreature · 03/10/2007 18:37

Hiya - Monti has been poorly too and DD has been vomitting for last 2 hrs

Kitty sorry your AP turned out to be bonkers

Have been addicted to Ebay last 5 days . Got up at 2am to bid on somthing the night before my 1st day back at work

LunarScream · 03/10/2007 18:42

fox - sign up for a sniping service which will automatically place your bid with a few seconds to go. I use the free ones at www.vrane.com (unlimited, but max 1 at a time) and www.auctionstealer.co.uk (max 3/week) - and between them they provide all I need.

Rosyspookily · 03/10/2007 18:59

Glad I'm not the only mad ebay person. Anyway that sniping service is plain mean...I bet that's how I lost my sensible stilletto boots at the last minute!

Today I left Hasan and ds2 in a creche while I did arts and crafts. Some kiddy whacked Hasan but apart from that it went ok.

Covenhope that's upsetting about the doggy. Could you rehome him with a family member?

covenhope · 03/10/2007 20:18

We'd been talking about rehoming for a while because DH doesn't have time for her Will have to contact Breed Society because we don't know anyone who can cope with a big dog.

foxensteinscreature · 03/10/2007 21:04

Cov - sorry to hear about your dog

Rosy PMSL at sensible stilettos!

sniping sounds v useful tool, but i quite like the thrill of the chase in last 2 mins!!

eidsvold · 03/10/2007 23:01

oh I am so behind again - had a very grumpy baby - fine during the day - since the weekend been screaming and crying and unsettled between 1am and 6 or 7. Worked out she just wants to be in our bed sleeping between dh and I. Well last night I let her stay there til I went to bed and then she had a big feed and came in again around 5.

I have not been well - sore throat and almost lost my voice!!

Dd's have been pretty good this week - thank goodness it all gets back to normal routine next week and school holidays are over. Dd1 has been asking for kindy, school, swimming therapy and so on.

Am off to a 21st birthday party in a couple of weeks - fancy dress!! Roaring 20's flapper ideas - however - flapper dress not really suitable for breastfeeding!! So am off to search for something else to wear. Any suggestions gratefully accepted

kitty I was reading about your au pair - sounds almost as helpful as my prac nanny.

I have been busy catching up on my sewing - made some pjs for the dds for christmas. They always get new summer pjs in their stocking. So bought cool vests and made some boxer type shorts in bright stripes. I have four dresses to make for the older dds ( 2 each) and a new sleeping bag for dd3 as she has grown out of her other ones.

Dd3 is really coming along - rolling over, chatting away, blowing raspberries. She just loves chatting/playing with the older dds - they make her laugh her little head off - really sweet to watch. DD2 in particular likes to pretend to scare dd3 which sets her off into fits of laughter.
