Brilliant Kitty, just the ticket!

Foxy I know how you feel, Hasan has been waking alot more than he used to and often he settles when I cuddle him! (spoilt rotten eh!) which is quite sweet, lucky I'm totally besotted!
Hasan has another tooth starting to poke through so it's maybe that too.
He has started to do the caterpillar crawl, highly comical and he covers big distances in search of paper to eat.

Shanks pleased to hear the scan went well It's lovely to hear about your pregnancy progress.

kittywits · 30/09/2007 20:08

Rosy, how funny that must look! Like a little inch worm!
Ronnie is trying to move. At the mo he sits on his bum and tries to bum shuffle. oh wouldn't it be funny if I had one of those, they are such a hoot to look at

Piffle · 30/09/2007 22:14

yes so nice of you shanks to think of everyone elses tiredness when you must be shattered, being ill and pregnant and up in the night with that gorgeous girl of yours!

Kitty I have a lovely image of you beer spitting now so classy innit?

Well I come with better news, Finn has slept through from 11-7 twice in the last 4 days he eats so much between 4-7pm though, more portion size of actual food than his big sis (5) plus 3 full boobs - the boobs are gettign freaked out, by 7am they are dangerous indeed...

Finnis also doing a funny up on hands and knees but propped up on one extended leg hop nose dive hope nose dive to reach the...
wii game box as it glows blue and he seems to like it typical BOY!
Right

kittywitch · 01/10/2007 09:55

Got new halloween name!!!

Rosylily · 01/10/2007 10:43

Love the name Kittywitch! It's halloween again! This time last year we were all up the duff
hmm, no idea what to call myself for halloween now....

kittywitch · 01/10/2007 11:02

Rosy, I found a 'chose you halloween name' thread and it's got people on it who can think and everything, so someone came up with mine for me!! (lazy emoticon)

foxcub · 01/10/2007 11:24

Oooh like the name Kitty - must get into costume and find myself a seasonal name too

At least you didn't PYSL at Komedia - that would have been worse than spitting beer !!

Rosy - Monti likes eating paper too - it gets stuck to the top of his palate like a communion wafer (my good little Catholic boy!!)

Piffle - very - do you reckon the trick to sleeping through is to get as much food down their neck as poss before bed time then? BTW whose is the third boob then?

Rosyspookily · 01/10/2007 11:41

I feel quite virtuous recycling last years name..
Foxy in good ole church of Ireland we usually have a tiny square of wholemeal bread and a swig of real wine to wash it down. Would keep you going to sunday dinner time! I miss communion.

LunarsCReaM · 01/10/2007 11:58

Toby likes paper too - yesterday he ate a bright pink postit note and the ink ran all over his new cream linen jacket. I'm just praying that if the ink was water soluble once, it will be again!

Not very original - but I've got a halloween name too

muppethasakitten · 01/10/2007 12:43

Glad you had great birthday Kitty... show us the shoes, show us the shoes

Foxy - I'm with you on the feeding hourly - I stuff samuel with all manner of foods during the day and it makes not a blind bit of difference for us. He is just having little light nibbles all night so I know in my heart he just does it to
a) reassure himself I'm right next to him still
b) have a crafty snuggle cos it's nice
and
c) make sure I know he's the one in charge of my boobs

Don't know of a solution that doesn't involve lots of crying (me and him!)

muppethasakitten · 01/10/2007 12:44

The other day there was some newspaper in Samuel's nappy. I could read the print and everything!

muppetrickortreat · 01/10/2007 12:53

Halloween name change too for me.

What's most scary of all is that after these names changes it'll be bloody Christmas names!!!!!!!

ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH

Where is diva?

LunarScream · 01/10/2007 13:07

Or fireworks names first for a few days?

muppetrickortreat · 01/10/2007 13:37

Ooooh yes! Forgot about that one!

Rosyspookily · 01/10/2007 14:36

Muppet you'll have to stalk Diva on facebook. Think I'll go throw something at her. She has abandoned us and I for one miss her and wish she would come back

Callieco · 01/10/2007 14:56

Now you're wishing Diva hadn't been encouraged to join FB . It's very strange without her.

I have just had not one, not two, but THREE nights out in a row!!! My mum came to babysit on Friday as we were supposed to be going to see a play directed by someone we know and then go to a party at her place afterwards. We watched the first half, decided we couldn't stand any more and headed off down the bay to the pub instead. Brilliant. Then as my mum decided to stay for the weekend, she very kindly babysat again on Sat and we went into town - I had my first cocktail in about two years at least. Then I went to the pics with mum last night to watch the very sexy James McAvoy in Atonement. Yum yum.

scareybee · 01/10/2007 15:10

I have stalked diva on facebook. She's not getting away that easily

Here we have joined in with the general vibe on the thread and are sick and not sleeping either. Elliot has a vile cold so we are drooping round the house like a couple of saddos. On the upside he has lost his voice to a large degree so whimpers rather than yells.

I, meanwhile, am losing my mind - got home yesterday from visiting my parents (left on Friday) and to my horror realised I had left the hot tap running in the kitchen. Was like a giant sauna - water running down the walls and dripping off the ceiling. Last week I left the fridge door open for most of the day too. Honestly I'm single-handedly responsible for global warming in North London I reckon I am dreading the leccy bill too.

Elliot likes eating paper too - he chewed the whole label off a new toy before I'd realised.

Jays - did I read right on facebook that you had to take Jensen to A&E?! Hope he is okay.

kittywitch · 01/10/2007 17:21

Time for a new thread soon me thinks?

Ronnie and dd3 and sicky runny poo babies atm, so no sleep here either.

I've kind of given up on FB I don't understand it. i have loads of messages i don't know what to do with. Mn is so much easier. I'm too old that's my prob .

scareybee , you must have been horrified. it must be because you are tired. I find loss of mind goes in cycles. Sometimes I'm fine and at others i'm mrs jelly head

Callie brill that you had three night sout. Have you got a taste for it now?

Foxy, have you got your spooky name yet? How was the drink book club ?

my 'aupair' has decided she is too lazy, crap
useless alcohol dependent tired to do this job and is going to doss with mates in Brighton. I'm relieved, back to the drawing board for me

TheBlonde · 01/10/2007 17:36

Quick question for those with more than one child...

How do you manage to feed them all at the same time and the baby too?

This morning I managed to give the LO a bit of rusk to chew but there was no time for any spooning puree

LunarScream · 01/10/2007 18:05

A. do finger food as much as possible and let them help themselves while everyone else eats. Then give them spoon fed food when the rest have finished.

kittywitch · 01/10/2007 18:12

I second finger food, the more kids you have the more proficient the babies become at feeding themselves. You also find you care less and less about HOW much they've eaten. I'm happy if just some of them have eaten their dinners!!!!

Mossy · 01/10/2007 18:46

Just quickly come on here to say I've been spending far too much time on FB.. Kitty that is where your birthday "prezzie" is lol!!

... but will come back on here at some point soon and catch up with everyone... too much to do both at once with dh under my feet constantly grrrrrrr.... need to rant but will do so in a bit...

... sorry if not replied to people's msgs on FB either just been busy to do anything other than mess around and do stuff that I can manage with one hand!!!!!

Hugs to all!!

spongecake · 01/10/2007 20:06

oh god i can't keep up with fb or mn... am sure am going mad- locked myself and the baby out of the house this weekend-had to call dh to leave work, come home etc. also put dinner plates away in fridge etc etc.

baby has eaten today, which is good. he sleeping is crap though, wants to party/ and or suckle. as expected i am taking it out on dh.

halloween name, love all yours but i need to think of one. (tears out hair)

prefer mn, as fb has a time delay??? or am i doing something wrong???

Mossy · 01/10/2007 20:23

Ah bollox it's my fault I completely forgot to say, Diva's internet is down until Wednesday, she and her dp are going mad without internet access!

Oh I'm losing track, I'm losing my mind ... dh is finally out of the house (he's gone up the Spar for some crisps) for - well it feels like forever but it's only a few days.

His eye is due to the squash ball incident they think, there is a pool of liquid behind it or something, he has another appointment Thursday to decide what to do about it, options involve leaving it by itself and seeing what happens, or injecting steroids into the eye which they're very reluctant to do as it could all go horribly wrong and it's really his only good eye...

... added to that we have the mood swings and depression which have actually gotten worse since he started the ADs. He has done sod all around the house - no I tell a lie, has cooked the odd meal but nothing else, and he is actually really untidy too so I end up doing double the work around here... arrrgh I need to rant, I want to tear my hair out.

Today I invented a new sling (well okay I nicked the idea off mamatoto) to tie Bertie to my back... I strapped him to my back to go walk the dogs. And then when I was half way up the hill of the waste ground I thought, hang on a minute, why isn't dh walking the dogs while I stay at home with Bertie, or take Bertie for a nice walk around the local park (dogs can't go to local park as I can't let 'em off the lead there, too many kids and I think Arthur scares children!) or do other stuff with him?

Anyway he is back from the Spar now so I will come back on later / tomorrow and rant some more and respond to everyone else's messages too instead of just banging on about my problems!!!

evenhope · 01/10/2007 21:18

Glad to see that others have paper eaters. We need to have a massive clear up now that DD is mobile- she makes a beeline for paper and wires. If I tell her off she laughs. She found it highly amusing to bite my lip with her one sharp little tooth today.

Kitty glad your au pair has sorted the problem.

(can't find diva on FB..)

mossy sorry your dh isn't improving.

I'm no good at halloween names (or christmas, or anything else). no imagination.
