Hiya all

Feeling lots better as I know my friends are coping pretty well considering - they have said they feel like they must have only been meant to have one child (their DS is 2) and that their life was lovely before and it will be again. The funeral was today and I sent flowers and will go and see them in a few weeks when they are feeling up to visitors as they have said they just need some time alone at the mo.

Mossy - your poor love. It's just one thing after another sometimes isn't it? I hope this means your DH can start feeling better and that the two of you can turn a corner in your relationship.

Elliot is doing his extended settling in at nursery - he seems to really enjoy it and eats lots more there than he does at home - typical I am trying desperately to stuff him with food as he's waking loads and I'm shattered. But I spoke to my boss yesterday and things are looking a lot more positive re my going back to work (I currently don't have a job as they've restructured while I've been away). I will have to pick up loads of stuff that's been dropped though - the person that's been covering for me is not very experienced and I've heard that she's buggered a few things up. Ho hum.

muppet - so glad you had a lovely time. Tell all - I for one could do with some cheering up

Love to everyone else - will be offline now for a few days as off to my mum and dad's. Happy birthday for Saturday kitty! x

Piffle · 27/09/2007 22:21

really feel for you lasses that have to work...
Esp with night waking as well.
Foxy how on earth can you cope with that amount of disturbed sleep honey?

muppet would love to hear all abouit your lovely news, we need some good news pretty please!

well Finn has been the MOST divine creature all day

Am I the only one who spends their days with their head embedded in their babies neck and head?
God he is GORGEOUS!

Piffle · 27/09/2007 22:30

Sazzy for some rason your post was not there when I just wrote mine, prob because I meant to type it about 6 hrs ago
Sorry you are being woken too...
ds1 was woeful sleeper and I was meant to return to work when he was 6 mths
errrmmm no way, unless I could do the job with 20 mins sleep out of every hr and a baby permanently attached to my breasts then sorry work was a non starter.... And yes I paid for it with poverty...

foxcub · 28/09/2007 09:55

Sazzy - have a nice few days!! Glad the work prospects looking more positive

Lunar I am glad he is sleeping better - I hope Monti does the same. He was awful last night. We are both a bit snuffly and he woke me constantly - waking the whole house with his crying

I think my Mat cover person has buggered up loads of stuff good and proper - my team has been evicted from their office, he's agreed an !action plan" for me without consulting me and he's changed people's job descriptions. I think its a male thing - he wants to leave his mark. A bit like a cat pissing in the corner

Hi everyone else [waves]

foxcub · 28/09/2007 09:59

Mossy - Hi I'm so sorry to hear about DH. That's bad news - but its good that he's acknowledged it early so at least he can be treated this time, before things slide hopefully. Come on hear and have a moan if it all gets too much [hugs]

BTW thanks for that magazine you sent its brilliant. MY BF counsellor friend has never seen it before and is going to order some for some local women

muppethasakitten · 28/09/2007 10:11

Piffle I am often to be found with my face snuggled in various parts of Samuel even the drooly sicky bits!

Well Italy was beautiful. The weather was in the mid 20's so lovely and hot. We flew into Pisa and did some sightseeing before travelling down to Siena for the wedding. This was in the Palazzo Pubblico and it was like walking onto a film set!

They were married by Siena's equivalent of our mayor I guess? The service was in Italian and then translated into English for us numpties who can't speak other languages very well .

Then we went back to this nearby Tuscan castle here for the wedding breakfast. The sun set and it was truly magical. As for the Italian food and wine...... just gorgeous! Simple food, full of flavour... all local and fresh.... yummmm.....

And Italians LUURRRVVVE babies! Made the trip much easier with lots of volunteers lining up to cluck over Samuel!

Didn't want to come home . Tis freezing

Rosylily · 28/09/2007 11:07

Oh wow Muppet....drifts off into beautiful daydream.....

Rosylily · 28/09/2007 11:10

do not disturb, I am living in a tuscan castle with warm sun on my face while lots of lovely people play with all my children and bring me lovely fresh delicious food, hmmmm....

Rosylily · 28/09/2007 11:13

You know that according to Paul McKenna vividly imagining something lovely gives you the same sense of well being as experiencing the reality.
Now I'm imagining the house is tidy...feels good....

LaidbackinEngland · 28/09/2007 11:46

shanks313 · 28/09/2007 16:55

Hiwaves

I have been getting less and less time online as I keep going to bed by 9pm.Sooo tired.

Deannas doing great, still no teeth here and shes decided this week to wake us up several nights just for playtime.Last night was nice we managed to get 10 hours sleep.

This week is when we are going to move Deanna into the nursery so hopefully we will all get better sleep.

Monday I had a really bad sickness bug, woke up at 4am and preceded to be sick every 2 hours all day long.

Yesterday I had my 12 week scan for Yum yum (affectionate name for no 2) ,everything looked okay and it turned towards us and gave a wave.EDD was put back to April 11th but they did the same for Deanna so Im still going with my original date.Just have to wait for the Downs test results to come through the post.

Hope everyone is okay and babes are not too tiring

Piffle · 28/09/2007 22:13

shanks Finn went through that waking for singing and playing thing too... cute oh so cute... well for the first 10 mins anyway

foxcub · 30/09/2007 11:45

Hi everyone

I have my drinking book club later today and am feeling full of cold, but reckon some wine and chat might complement the nurofen I had for brekkie

Monti woke me ever hour last night and the night before. He doesn't even feed - just wants to know the nipple is there . I'm so tired I can't even think of strategies to get him out of this habit

any ideas folks? [exhausted and baggy eyed emoticon]

kittywits · 30/09/2007 11:59

Poor you foxy, don't know what to say. Is it teeth?

Had a great day yesterday, spent too much money in Brighthon ( pair of shoes for mucho dosh and a SIMPLY GORGEOUS mac from jigsaw) and went to the "Komedia" a comedy/ theatre/ gig place in Brighton, saw thre stand ups a nd haven't laughed so much in years. I spat my drink out over the table, what a shocking waste of beer .
