Hi All! Stacey, I just got your email and thought I would pop over and see how everybody is. We're all good! DH just got his car back yesterday after it broke down over 2 months ago (!). He ended up taking my car most days to work, leaving me at home with the kids. Very happy to be mobile again!! Not much fun trying to walk everywhere with three lazy children! ha ha

Madeleine is on the move and today she even pulled herself up to stand next to a table. I've got to get my eyes replaced in the back of my head!! She is doing really well but I'm struggling getting her onto a bottle. 1) she hates the bottle, and 2) she hates formula. Would really like to start weening her off bf, especially as I know her teeth will be arriving any day!

Stacey, we'll have to meet up sometime soon and catch up!

CharleeWeasley · 06/08/2007 08:45

Argh Stacey i hadn't thought of that!!!!!

But anyway today i will find out if he is going in or not he has been really well this last couple of days, i did a real intense physio session with him on Sst and he coughed up a bid lump of gross stuff (sorry tmi) and since then he hasn't even wheezed let alone coughed! SO hopefully his Dr will refrain from taking him in. Fingers crossed.

We were at the beach yesterday with FIL and step MIL, it was paced it took us 2 hrs to get there and we were only 6 miles from home! Im checking the news today as 2 little girls went missing when we were there yesterday they had been gone 2 hrs when we left i hope they find them the parents were going mad. They had the helicopters and coastguards out and everything.
Apart from that we enjoyed it, Jack flew a big Winnie the Pooh kite with FIL and paddled in some shallow pools.

Well best go i hope everyone is well.

fatbetty glad you're back! missed hearing from you!

well we found a lovely house that we would really like, and are going to put an ofer in today! i keep thinking sod the fact ours isnt anywhere near sorted, thats called a chain and he'll just have to lump it! all we need is his job offer in writing before we put an offer in, its gunna take a while that end anyway to get mortgage surveys and what not!

i have decided ds is the most accident prone baby i know! he is covered in bruises where he pulls up and falls down! im right now feeding him mqashed banana and yoghurt, all he wants to do is eat, and not drink milk!

oh and iv finally got rid of my SIL's (had them for a week each over the last 2 weeks, age 9 and 11) its so lovely jsut to have my kids again, although now im having to re-tackle bedtime, although iv workedo ut a system to get dd to go to bed, she gets a teddy taken away everytime she gets up (she does have 12 in there anyway) and last night after i took all the teddies, her juice her clock and her nightlight she finally went to sleep. although this only took 45mins rather than 3 hrs bedtime has been recently so im not too bothered!

right rambling now, must go!

podglet · 06/08/2007 15:26

Hi all, hope you all had good weekends in the lovely sunshine.

Charlee - fingers crossed for Dr today. Glad DS1 seems to be on the mend

Hi FB, glad all ok with you

Stacey - how exciting, looks like it might all be coming together for you.

Saralou - have started the diet today. Have decided to do it on Mon / Tues / Weds for the next few weeks and see how I get on. I am hungry and bored, not a good combination - must find willpower!

CharleeWeasley · 07/08/2007 08:44

Well the Dr didn't bother ringing...........

[thunk]

So DS is still at home, im not that bothered as he isn't actually ill but a bit miffed becuase if he actually were ill i would have had to go to the kiddies ward and see an on call dr ect.

Anyway i am incredably sunburnt and it bloody hurts, i have Lupus so however much sun lotion i put on i still get burnt to buggery and i was so preoccupied looking after the kids on the beach i didn't realise how burt i was getting now my back looks like a tomato!

Stacey great news about the house! I hope it goes well for you. We have no hope of ever getting a mortgage on dp's wages unfortunatley so its either private rent or council for us!

Anyway best go Jack will be awake soon.

NatalieJane · 07/08/2007 12:03

Sara, you and DP OK now? Sorry but PMSL at your friends banana phobia I know it isn't probably much fun for her, but still, PMSL
Mygirl, hope you are enjoying the time with your mum
Charlee glad Jack is better Ouch for the sun burn though, the last time I got burnt, we were at Bournemouth when DS1 was about 6 weeks old, managed to get him home without so much as the slightest bit of tan, me, burnt to a crisp, on the inside of both elbows (from reading the paper) couldn't pick DS1 up for the next few days without feeling like my skin was ripping apart, so I do sympathise! Then I learnt that the whole pregnancy and giving birth thing can make you easier to burn....
Stacey, what a PITA with the HA, but really pleased for you that things can and should move forward, and that you have found somewhere nice to move to
FB, hello stranger!! Glad to hear you are all OK
Podglet, good luck with the diet

Debbsy are you pregnant???? You can't say something like that and then not tell us the out come woman!!!! Get your arse back here and tell us all

Three days to go till we go away, I am ironing ( yes I said ironing ) but broke the iron , so am now waiting for it to cool down so I can fix it.

George is teething again, and is getting very frustrated that he can't walk, he keeps pulling himself up on the furniture but then can't go anywhere, I think it won't be long before he is sofa surfing. I have started a little BLW, he had bacon sarnies on Sunday morning LOL He loves ham sarnies, corned beef, cheese, in fact anything he can feed himself with, the only thing he will eat off a spoon is fruit/veg puree's and yoghurts. Should make it nice and easy to get him fed on holiday

Off to get some lunch, have a good afternoon everyone

NatalieJane · 07/08/2007 12:05

Waaaayyyy too many words and smilies in that one, but I am going on holiday so I don't care

saralou · 08/08/2007 06:30

morning all

things were better with dp, but he had to get the last word in and last night did something which has really hurt and upset me. it was totally pointless amd irrelevant, not worth making me feel like this.

anyway..

podglet, how did the diet go??

charlee, ouch! slap on the aloe vera girl!

stacey, goodluck with the house you like, fingers are crossed! my sister has a HA house and she's looking to move and has to pay all their fees and stuff.. which she finds quite sucky too!

ryan is also teething quite badly at the moment, he thought it might be a good idea to do 4 teeet at the same time, so he's got the top ones either side of the middle 2 and the middle 2 are ready to pop! not sleeping much and had a bottom that was red raw... poor little dude! metanium cream is fantastic though!!!

CharleeWeasley · 08/08/2007 08:16

MOrning

Saralou - What an arse i hope you feel ok if you want to talk about it i shall be floating around here most of the day no doubt!

I have just put Harry in bed! He has only been up fir an hour but he was being a right PITA and i really dont feel that well. The sun is shining but i am shivering with cold however many jumpers i put on and i just can't quite wake up.
Harry has become a daddy's boy this last week which i don't mind i know it's normal Jack did the same thing for a bit but Harry only wants daddy at the moment and MUmmy isnt quite good enough which dadd finds hilarious but mummy doesnt find it quite so funny because sisnce daddy escaped to work at 6 this morning Harry has screamed the place down sitting by the door shouting dadadadadadada! He has refused to eat breafast so i have bunged him in his cot and he is busily thumping the wall but not crying so im leaving him there for the moment! Bad mother alert!

podglet · 08/08/2007 08:31

Morning

Charlee - I do the same thing with DS when he is having a paddy. He gets popped in his cot with his nursery rhymes on and then I walk away. It's amazing how quickly it stops when they realise it isn't getting them anywhere. Look after yourself chick, check out the symptoms of sunstroke perhaps?

Sara - diet ok, Day 2 is a real low point though isn't it? I had to sneak an extra piece of beetroot yesterday afternoon, I felt sick with hunger - felt guilty afterwards! Last day today - til next week Sorry to hear DP being a PITA again, you can vent here if you want, I shall be back online later... or you have my email if you want - here, have half a grapefruit, we are a choc free house at the mo...

NJ - 2 days to go! I have caught your excitment and am excited for you! Where are you going? (sorry, forgotten)

saralou · 08/08/2007 08:43

podglet, day 2 sucks, i think i had extra chicken that day, cause i ate it all whilst waiting for the veg to cook i was soooooo hungry!!! let us know how you got on tomorrow, big weigh day!!

dp realises what an arse he was and keeps on apologising... thanks for the offers of a chat girlies but i must get dressed and go tesco's... the cupboards are bare!!!

saralou · 08/08/2007 08:46

and i forgot to say charlee, ds1 had heatstroke last year and was exactly as you describe... keep an eye on your tempreture and plenty of water!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 08/08/2007 09:41

hi all hope everyone ok!

charlee, thats not a bad mummy alert my ds went back to bed at about 8 this am as he was being a pain too!!!

spent the day at MIL's yesterday (it was dire) but kids slept like logs last night as they were in and out of the garden all day!

gottqa buy dd a new little table today as daddy broke hers the other night (dont even ask) so now im the one replacing it (i mean wtf?) and dh is on a training course so i was all on my own last night and hes not back till late tonight!! (even tho he can be and @rsehole)

NJ know what you mean about being frustrated by not walking! ds forgets he cant walk, just turns round off the sofa and.........falls flat on his face! can be quite funny despite the screaming!! hes already cruising round things and trying to use a push along walker! hes so little i want him to stay that way but he really doesnt!!

littlemissmischief · 08/08/2007 20:21

Hi everyone.
Im back with a new name to match the new house! Everything went ok with the move apart from it not being cleaned!! We are sort of settling in but it seems weird, the floods have all gone and we are allowed to use our water again now although im waiting for a couple of days just in case.
I hope everyone is ok I havent read the posts yet
We went to the beach on sunday it was really nice and ds had his first time in the sea and we had ice cream

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 08/08/2007 22:13

OP posts:
podglet · 09/08/2007 09:26

Hi Littlemissmischief! Glad the house move went ok and things are getting back to normal.

Well Sara, I have a confession. I don't do weigh ins - I just go by how I look and how my clothes feel. I think DP would find me dangling out the window if I knew how much I weighed However, I do feel loads better and not sure if it is my imagination but my jeans feel a bit better this morning - so onwards to nest monday when the fun starts again!

Stacey - sorry to hear about the house - may I ask why it won't work? Hope you find something else that you love.

saralou · 09/08/2007 09:42

but podglet, how can you not watch the numbers go down!! t'is a satisfying feeling!!! i'm sure your trousers do fit better after starvation for 3 days!! i suppose the big test is your dress??

it's dp's birthday at the weekend... to buy him a present or not, that is the question... i've kind of forgiven him, only 'cause i can't be arsed to put the effort into ignoring him! he did say last night that the best present was me not leaving, maybe i'll take him up on that and save myself the money!

don't know what to do with us today, where to go... am i brave enough for the beach on my own??????? or should we go to the lake, hmmm decisions decisions!!!

NatalieJane · 09/08/2007 10:27

Good morning fellow Mumnetters I'm going on holiday tomorrow!!!!!! Whoooooooooo hooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Ahem, back to business....

AJM, glad everything went OK,
Stacey, I really hope you can find a way to do it, you must be so dissapointed, as always, if there is anything we can do....
Podglet and Sara, stop stop stop..... enough of the dreaded 'D' word now!!
Charlee, hope you feel better soon xxx

George said Dada last night, awww bless him, he has only said Muma up to now, and even that is only when he is whinging about something, DH was very proud bless him He did it just after he was stood holding on to the sofa and pushed him self straight back and smaked his head on the floor, DH said he should bang his head more often, whilst I am checking George's vitals every 2 secondS!!!

Right I suppose I had better start the packing, whooooo hoooooooooooo sun, sea and sex here we come LOLOLOLOL

podglet · 09/08/2007 20:17

Have a fabulous time NJ - am very of your hol "see" you soon Bless poor DS2, DP loves it when DS says "dada", still working on Muma!

Sara - not brave enough to try the dress for another couple of weeks yet! Have been a little naughty today, had choc cake this afternoon and am currently enjoying a glass of wine

Charlee - really hope you feel better soon - how's your mum doing now?

NatalieJane · 10/08/2007 00:22

Right we are all packed and ready to roll out in the morning Whooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooo again

If you see a plane go over around lunch time-ish, give us a wave!!!

Have a good week everyone xxx

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 10/08/2007 08:36

hi everyone, well housewise we realised theres no room for a dining table which is important to me, but think its sorted now.....

NJ enjoy your holiday!

very that you have talking babies! ds cant be @rsed! he does wave and say 'heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeya' but im not really counting that as a word! lol, he does clap on command now and as i said can wave (only when he wants tho) he knows what 'no' means (and then blatantly ignors me?!? ) and hes still trying desperately to crawl!!

taking both dc's to the soft play today, ds will think its great!!!

saralou · 10/08/2007 09:50

morning all... nat have a fantastic holiday!

podglet, i have a dress, slightly too tight and a wedding to go to at the end of september, which i must fit into!!! so shall be doing the diet again soon, i just need a chance to exercise more!! parents are moving in 10 days... on tap babysiting services!!!

ryan has devoloped a new type of crawl... on his hands and feet! spider crawl we call it... he's trying so hard to walk, but he's just too little!!! he's also clapping and waving now!! he'll say an occasional word, but not much!!

CharleeWeasley · 10/08/2007 09:56

Morning

I am feeling better today thank - you to all who asked.

My mum is ok, she doesn't know if she is having the op yet which doesn't give her alot of time but it is her decision and i am sticking by her whatever she decides.

We have a Harry problem though! The little darling has already learnt how to climb out his cot, even with the sides up! argh not sure what to do he is obviously to small for a bed im stumped!!!
I went into him last night and he was doing that really cute baby thing where they stand up at the side of the cot crying with just there 2 bottom teeth showing so i went to give him a cuddle and before i got to him he had put his leg up and was hauling himself over the edge of the bars! eek!

NJ- you wont read this but have a fab holiday anyway hun! Think of us while you getting all you sun, sea and sex!

How's everyones diet going? I was contemplating going on Atkins for about an hour beforei decided i can't do without carbs! lol, i'm just trying to stick to 3 healthy meals a day with no snacks except fruit. boring i know but sensible i suppose! oh i long for a chocolate fudge brownie!

We are taking the children to Fishers Farm Park in Eastboune at the weekend and were going to the local Chilli Festival so should have a good weekend.

I'm glad you got your house sorted Stacey, we have always been a eat on sofa/floor or coffee table family as none of our houses have had room for a dining table! lol.

well im off to lunge on the sofa all day................ oops did i say that i was ment to say im off to do tons of houswork!
