Hi all,

Hi Bethbe - love the new name - how is your LO?

Get well soon and sleep vibes out to all who need them

We have just spent the day in London. I had my annual check up at Moorfields. Oddly enough, I am still blind I love it, they keep you waiting for 2 hours then call you in and say "can you read the chart? No? oh same as usual then, see you next year"! We did go to Harrods again though - this time I spent a small fortune on 2 tshirts - 1 says "my mummy is a yummy mummy" and the other says "Born to be spoilt (all major credit cards accepted)"

We have to go again next week for DS's check up, they are checking him every 4 months until he is 2 because the condition I have could develop.

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 18/07/2007 21:28

podglet, its a bit of a pain they didnt let you coincide the appointments, that would have been easier!

those tops sound so cute.....i wish i had money! but on the flip side iv managed to save £250 towards my car already! so thats where all my money is going!

mygirllollipop · 19/07/2007 08:34

That's right Sara - they get days off here and there, mostly work only mornings (creative and PE stuff on afternoons) but it keeps them to a routine etc to work thru all hols.
WB oldies!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 19/07/2007 08:55

oh iv got into a debae with Leati on drinking and pregnancy and now im stuck here till she'll listen which is proving to be a very long time!

arrrrggghhh!

ds seems a bit better today although neither of them wanted to go to bed last night.....

NatalieJane · 19/07/2007 10:28

Mygirl, the earrings were from H Samuels, they were a bit of a bargain to be honest down to £50 from £80 in the sale. They are stunning, I have dropped enough hints to DH!!
Sara, I only got them some chocolates and a plant from M&S each, but then it was cards, the gift bag for the plants (they were £4 each) then the wrapping paper for the chocs, the bows and curly-whirlys, the gift tags, it all adds up! Never mind they liked them this morning, that is the main thing
WB Bethbe, nice new name I agree, the kids are lovely at this age

I got George a toy from Woolies yesterday, it is V-tech, it is this shape sorting rocket thing that blasts off when you put all the shapes in the right way, it is really good, me and DH were sat playing with it last night, with George in his highchair waiting for one of us to notice that he had finished his pasta LOL I love the toys they have now, much better than even when DS1 was this age

CharleeWeasley · 19/07/2007 10:43

Morning all

Yes i am going to take the kids out at midnight tommorrow to get my Harry Potter book! I know it's probably not the greatest idea but jacks really looking forward to the adventure and Harry obviously doesn't care less!

We are having problems with bedrooms at the moment though, the council came round yesterday after we asked them for hrlp moving to do an assesmaent and apparently Jacks bedroom is not safe for any children to sleep in let alone one with cf because of the damp I put them in the same room last night but jack cries for several hours at bedtime which woke Harry up so he started so now poor Harry has to sleep in the Hallway (luckily its big!) and Jacks in his room. Hopefully the council will now shift themselves into helping us move!

Anyway i'm off to see the new HP movie tonight so will be getting a much needed break, i finally gave in yesterday and went to the dr's for depression and got some new anti depressants so fingers crossed things will perk up a bit now, i have been souch a snappy misrable cow this last month or so and i just hate it!

Anyway onto a not so nice topic! I still haven't had a period since harry was born, i stopped breastfeeding about a month ago? anyone got any ideas when they will feel the need to returtn?

I must admit We went to see the first Harry Potter, didn't think much of it, got the second one to watch on Box office when it came out and we turned it off half way through, just couldn't 'get it'.

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 19/07/2007 10:52

I just don't get the hype, but then I haven't read any of the books and they do say the books are what it's all about.

ASnd before you say it, I really couldn'y bring myself to read one, I read to relax, not get all hyped up about a load of tripe

NatalieJane · 19/07/2007 11:11

Can you tell I am typing one handed? LOL

Debz99 · 19/07/2007 11:16

Hello ....

Can you re-add me to your list please ladies, sorry I don't seem to get on here much but still wanna be part of the Nov 06 "Gang"

Ryan stephen James was born 4th Novemeber ..

Anyway back to the update ... Ryan now has a tooth !!!!!!!!!!!! one of the bottom ones, its not fully through yet he keeps playing with it though hope it don't go wonky !!!

Had him weighed yesterday for the first time in nearly 3 months he now weighs 22lb 4 so in nearly 3 months his weight has not moved much he weighed 20lb 4 back in early May, HV said it was fine as he is up on his feet and trying to walk he is burning off the cals.

Was trying to get him to walk between my mum and me yesterday holding onto his hands then letting go .... he loved it but was trying to walk way too fast .. infact he was nearly running LOL he took a couple of steps on his own before he reached us ............. so proud He still will not crawl, when sitting on his bun he leans forward to get himself into the crawling position then cries cos he is stuck !!!!

Debz99 · 19/07/2007 11:18

Oh NJ Ryan has that toy he loves it too .. however the batteries are now running flat and I keep forgetting to get some more LOL !

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 19/07/2007 11:22

debz, my 2.8 yo was weighed at the hospital the other day (fri i think) and she weighs 25lb 15 so your lo isnt doing bad!

podglet · 19/07/2007 11:32

Morning,

NJ - go and sit in the corner and think about what you have said. HP is brill, you clearly made a typo by putting "tripe" in.

Hi Debz - if you want to put yourself in the stats list, copy and paste the list into a new message, then add yourself in!

NatalieJane · 19/07/2007 11:38

Oh god, I have pissed half of MN off by commenting about a mother who, IMO, is down right awful, and now half aliented my self from the other half who are HP fans LOL

Not my day is it? LOL

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 19/07/2007 12:06

NJ where were you talking about someones mothering ability, have i missed a good thread?

i really should be doing my housework but my ds has finally gone down for a nap and im so fed up i have no enthusiasm!
