mygirllollipop · 04/10/2007 09:58

Charlee - we've all been there! (we thought DD1 swallowed some bleach she didn't but still had to have a chest x-ray, then there was the time she had an op to remove glass from her foot, then DD3 split the inside of the skin that joins the mouth and the nose....... I'll stop there shall I?)
I don't think it is chickenpox that DD4 has, she's not got anymore spots but still a high temp.

podglet · 04/10/2007 12:12

Oh Charlee, poor old you, glad he seems ok though.

We've all got the lurgy here. DS is cutting his third tooth in 10 days (shock) and DP and I have horrid colds. I can't take a thing for my cold (grr, this is the bit of being pg that I don't like!) so feel doubly sorry for myself!

Hope everyone else is ok, glad it doesn't look like chickenpox mygirl.

KaybeeandZak · 04/10/2007 16:20

we've still got the lurgy too, does anyone have any ideas about my other post here

littlemissmischief · 05/10/2007 19:31

Hi all, hope you all have a good weekends lined up. Well im starting work on monday! Short notice i know i only asked if i could go back yesterday. Im really nervous about leaving my little bubba but im working the hours i wante, mon to thurs 9.30-1.30 so mil will have him 2 days, my cousin one day and my mum the other so no nurseries (yay!)
We jusr desperately need the money cos we are sooo skint it is stupid so the extra money will help.
On a bad note ive really hurt my back so dp has ahd to take the day off to help with alfie it better be ok by monday or it wont be a good start.
Ive entered ds in the local paper 'baby of the year' competition, it is a bit of a fix cos everyone can vote as many times as they want so the people with big families always win but i will send you all newspapers and you can all vote
Hope everyone is ok x x

mygirllollipop · 08/10/2007 12:59

Heloo!
LMMC - hope you are settling into work well!

Charlee · 09/10/2007 09:59

Hi, everyone

I am around, i have just been busy, busy, busy!

We are off on our holiday to Minehead that you lovley mumsnetters funded for us, i am so excited i haven't been on holiday for 5 years!!!!!

Jacks not well at the moment, he has a bad cough and is coughing up yellow stuff that looks like sponge (sorry tmi) but the dr claims all is well although i am a little
The day after were back from holiday (tuesday) he is at clinic so i may have to do some pushy nightmare parenting and demand a chest x-ray. I know it might mean him staying in for 2 weeks but this seems to be extremley similar to last time when dr's ignored me untill Jacks lung collapsed!
Jack is also going in to the Posrtmouth QA hospital the same night for a sleep study to see if he needs his tonsils out.

I am still stressed about moms op, as she is not resting and is still smoking on and off ect ect but i am trying to chill out about it. I have decided i am not going to be there when she goes down, it was just to hard last time i had to so my sister is going to go with her instead.

Harry is fine, teething again i think his sleeping has gone to pot and hes waking up several times a night!

He has started pointing at things saying 'that' to everything which is quite cute.

I hope everyone else ie ok ,this thread seems to have died out a bit latley.

Charlee · 09/10/2007 13:18

Is this thread well and truley dead?

Or just asleep!

HELLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO?

mygirllollipop · 09/10/2007 13:25

Packing for hols, going 2moro night, not be back til Tues/Weds.

NatalieJane · 09/10/2007 13:40

Hi everyone

Not been about very much lately, not really sure why though, nothing is really happening here!

George is self weaning he has cut out all breastfeeds in the day and is only having a feed about 11pm and about 7.30 in the morning Don't know if I am more sad at him growing up or the fact that after my little boast about not having had my periods back, they are back, with a vengence, I'm not a happy bunny......

And we do have another tooth, first one for months, so he has five now.

PMSL, got the news on, they are saying because of all the rain this year most of the pumpkins for Hallowe'en will be green instead of orange LOLOLOLOLOL Sorry, tickled me did that

Right I'm a gonna, hope you are all well xxx

NatalieJane · 09/10/2007 13:42

Bugger forgot, charlee and mygirl, have good holidays

Charlee hope DS picks up before you have to demand x-rays.

podglet · 09/10/2007 19:37

Hi all,

Sorry, was away for the weekend and have then had DP at home with a nasty cold which is now in his chest.

Charlee - hope Jack improves and you have a fab time in Minehead good luck for his appointments next week.

NJ - for you and the self weaning and period returning. DS has had 3 new teeth in the last 2 weeks after none for 3 months - he now has 7!

LMM - hope work going ok still.

Myfirl - have a fab hol too

All ok here, not much to report!

littlemissmischief · 10/10/2007 14:43

Hi all, work is going ok actually which suprised me, i was terrible the 1st day i couldnt stop thinking about him but the last 2 days have been ok mainly because he has stayed with his nanny so much it is so normal and he loves being there. I know now why mums say they go to work for a break, even though i work hard it is nice having 4 hrs jut having to think for myself and having adult conversations. We are off to tumbletots this afternoon, he really enjoyed his trial session last week bu we have had to move to a different group because of my work.

Charlee - my thoughts with you nd your mum, im sure she will be fine x

NJ - sad for your about the dreaded AF bloody bane of my life, and im like you will chuckle at anything including green pumpkins

Podglet - Hope your dp feels better and you dont catch it

Mygirl/charlee - have fab holidays! im very

Charlee · 10/10/2007 18:44

Hi everyone.

I took Harry swimming today for the first time - he has a slight cold and he cried most the time, he started enjoying it but the he put his face in the water and started crying again! Poor little mite was shivering after about 15 mins so we got out and had a nice warm shower. It was nice i got to spend some time alone with him and some quality time with my 2 sisters as well.

Anyway my new problem is this, it was arranged for my sister to go in to the hospital to be with my mum when she goes down to her op. I did it last time and it nearly broke me it was jsut so heart wrenching to see her so scared.
Anyway she now can't get a babysitter and we can't have her kids as we are driving her down as it is a long way from us, which means now i have to do it again.
Mum claims she doesn't need anyone but i can't stand her to be on her own, especially if something did go wrong i wouldn't want her last thought to be lonley ones.

I amhoping her boyfrined will go with her so i don't have to.
I know that is so, so selfish but im not sure i am mentaly strong enough to go through it again, it's bad enough waiting for the call from the dr when it's done as to the outcome.

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 12/10/2007 09:53

Hi all

Congrats on PG,s - Good luck with other bits and pieces (including home made bread and walking LO's) - sorry I can't respond to everyone - but you miss out on Mumsnet for a while and soo much happens.

Well I'm officially a Mrs now... The rain kept away for the actual ceremony but thanks a downpour earler in the day my dress ended up a bit muddy. When we have some piccy's I'll put one or two on the profile. Taro was sweet for his bit - had a screaming fit about a minute before the start then promptly fell asleep throughout the whole thing until it actually came to his naming when he woke up and wondered why 80 people were looking at him. Luckily he isn't shy and relished the attention. He spent most of the reception chasing balloons around and apart from refusing to sleep until his Daddy got back from the bar (about 2 in the morning) all seemed well with him.

He has two teeth at the bottom, one fully formed at the top and three at the top pushing through - hence several sleepless nights recently. He is in his own room now - a bit of a shock for him at first - but now he likes the fact that he has his own space to play in. He is constantly pulling himself up against things (including legs if you stand still too long) and is cruising - he is getting more confident with standing alone and tends to use just one hand to support himself. I'm taking him into town today to take part in a baby competition with the local newspaper - He's got the looks and personality to do well (but then I am bias)- however the winner is decided by a voucher voting system - so one large family buying up all the papers is all it'll need to find a winner.

Anyway the whiff of a stinky nappy is reaching me from the other side of the room so I'd better go.

Have fun and all the best everyone

Love to you and yours
LA (who also has a 'myspace' bit - but hasn't done a thing with it. (only got it as my friend in the US is writing a novel on it and I wanted to see what happens))

See ya soon!!!

Debz99 · 16/10/2007 11:08

Morning All !

Purchased Ryan his first proper pair of shoes yesterday as he has been walking for about a month but his feet were too small for clarkes shoes, his feet have now grown to a size 4 and he could have a pair !!!!!

It was really funny seeing him walk around the shop looking like he had lead weights on his feet LOL ! Then he wouldn't go back in his pram !!!!! Began screaming ... the shop assistant ended up serving us first just to get rid I think and there was a huge queue !!!

Charlee · 16/10/2007 16:19

look here

Jack back in hospital.

Got a sleepstudy tonight at Portsmouth hospital then home for 1 night before 2 weeks stint in Chichester.

mygirllollipop · 17/10/2007 10:53

Hello everyone,
Stacey - when you say DH has moved out does that mean it's over? Either way, all the best with that.
Charlee - not read threads yet but hope you had a nice holiday and everything is OK with Jack.
Hope everyone else is doing OK.
Hols was brill, we went up north and I met up with SIL (BIL was supposed to be there but didn't show), tehn I cried when I had to leave for the airport. Lots of drinking, a bit of sunbathing and a touch of shopping, but best of all a catch up with the girls! (I'm not going to mention the photos - I don't wanna know!).

podglet · 18/10/2007 16:46

hi,

mygirl, glad you had a fab time, where did you go?

Charlee - how is Jack getting on?

Stacey - hope things ok with you.

Saralou, NJ, everybody else - where are you???????????

Just heard little bean's heartbeat for the first time 'twas brill! Went to dr to see if he could bring my scan forward as was getting worried about lack of symptoms etc. He couldn't but offered to try and find heartbeat with doppler - there it was, loud and clear at 160!

Poor DS got another filthy cold, poor little soul. told him about the new baby and said to him "would you like a baby brother or sister?" and he looked at me and went "BAH" - assuming that's a no then...

saralou · 19/10/2007 13:22

love to ya all!!! xx
