Podglet - I am so aorry to hear about your gran. [hugs]
Thanks for your kind words, we have tried to appeal but have been told it will be hopeless as even though it is there mistake we still ahve to pay it back. i really fecking hate the council.

Harry has food poisining so he is not a happy bunny, he is merrily throwing up everyhwere and shitting through the eye of a needle and crying all the time. (excuse my crude language) i have had it up to here (charlee points to ceiling) at the moment. tbh.

Jack is doing my had in with his constant craving for my full on attention, dp is aswell for his constant craving for sex when really all i want to do is hide in my bed for at least a month.

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 28/08/2007 15:34

Hi all

Sorry I've not kept in touch - things have been a bit hectic. Podglet - sorry about your nan - DP lost his in July - the same week I lost my job and Taro had chicken pox - in some ways it looks like DP is still grieving (his was very close to her). Other sad news, my American friend who is coming over to be my matron of honour has just lost her baby - she was 8 weeks pregnant. She's putting a brave face, but I know that she and her DH and little girl were looking forward to expanding the family.

Other news - only a month to go to my my wedding and I am starting to feel nervous. I haven't got a job yet - part of me says I should get something - part would rather wait until after 'W' day - but we have bills to pay. I have got some work lined up for January - and exciting creative project with the council and individuals with learning and/or social difficulties - I'm having another meeting with my 'manager' next week.

Baby news - Taro has cut his first teeth - still hasn't quite got the crawling side of things sussed (thank goodness as we haven't found a big enough baby gate to block the steps in the lounge) - if truth be known he'd rather learn to walk anyhow and is always wanting to be on his feet - he's got a little trick of sliding down the sofa onto his feet and standing against it. He also insists on standing in his rocking car (I'm putting piccy on my profile of him taking a break from the standing and just having a quiet dribble). He can say mummumum repeatedly until you find a distraction or the cat makes a brave appearance. Then the cat is his focus until cat wisely exits. He had his 8 month check up last week - all just above average on weight and head circumferance - then we discovered that he is way above average for height - he's 75cm! Anyhow - sorry I can't give individual responses to folk - although re:floods - Devon was unaffected so next time you'll just have to come round to mine and escape - we should just be able to squeeze a couple of small tents in the garden for you all. For all of us - hopefully life will get back to some sort of normality soon.

All the best
Lady A

LadyAnne1stTimeMum · 28/08/2007 17:20

By the way Charlee - know what you mean about councils . My HB etc got cancelled as soon as I went back to work full time and then they said I was overpaid and now owe them nearly £500 - now I've lost my job instead of the logocal step of digging up the records (still fresh - ink still wet on them) and simply altering the fact that I've lost job - DP and myself have to go through all the paperwork again including taking Taro's birth certificate to them - it's a real pain in the whatnots! I'm okay for rent this month - but not sure about end of Septemeber - hoping that some generous relative or two gives us cash for our wedding present - we don't need taosters or anything - we've been together nearly ten years...

podglet · 28/08/2007 18:03

Just to let you know that Gran died at 4pm today. It was very peaceful which we can all be thankful for.

Hi LA

saralou · 29/08/2007 08:24

podglet, i'm really sorry to hear about your gran... sending you great big hugs ((((((( ))))))))))

hello ladyanne, goodluck with the wedding stuff... i'm looking forward to booking mine next year, just gotta figure out how to pay for it!!!! hope you sort your job situation out!!

charlee, have you considered robbing a bank??????

ryan has finally managed to cut his top teeth, so he's got 6 now.. i've asked him for a bit of a break from teething, thankfully he's sleeping better now!!

must go get ready now, i have a plumber coming to give us a quote on replacing the downstairs loo, the bloody thing has been broken for aaaaaaages, then i'm of to my mums for the afternoon, gotta give my dad a guided tour today of poole!

Charlee · 29/08/2007 08:34

Podglet i am so sorry for your loss, you know my email address if you want to have a chat at any time.

Saralou - knowing my luck hun if i robbed a bank i would end up breaking into my own account and finding nout in there!

I have excruciating period pains today, i must have come on in the night just after i had changed my bed sheets they are now filthy again!

DS has just recived a birthday card! His birthday isn't untill the 15th sept!

Charlee · 29/08/2007 17:41

Can i draw your attention to this mummytoTandF is one of our girls. I really want to do something to help her out.

podglet · 29/08/2007 18:17

Have seen that Charlee and tried to post a link myself but DS had a paddy. How awful for MummytoTandF and the DC's must be such a shock.

Thanks for your kind words everybody. The funeral is planned for 10th Sept. So that means we move on the 7th, wedding of my friend on the 8th / 9th and then funeral on the 10th. My birthday on the 12th!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 29/08/2007 22:13

charlee i just came on to post the same thing, i feel so and sick, wish there was something i could do but i'm so far away!

littlemissmischief · 30/08/2007 11:31

Hi.
I cant beleive I've not been on for a few days and Ive just been reading through and everyone is having such a horrible time.
Podglet-Im so sorry for your loss
Charlee-I cant believe the council we owe £200 for overpayment too (which was their fault)
and poor MummytoT&F-Ive just posted on there but didnt know what to say it is so awful and really makes you think!

podglet · 30/08/2007 17:26

Hi all,

Joy of Joys - we have exchanged all set to complete on Fri 7th Sept. However, that weekend now reads as follows...
Fri 7th - move.
Sat 8th / Sun 9th - wedding in Bedford. Supposed to be child free but have special dispensation to take DS as have no one to look after him as my mum will be in Sussex.
Mon 10th - Grans funeral in Sussex.
Weds 12th - my birthday, by which time I expect to be lying in a dark room with a gin bottle.

DP has the gall to moan about the amount of driving he will have to do. How terribly unfair of me to be paritally sighted and not help out with that... grr I know it will be tiring for him but I didn't plan for it all to happen at once.

Hope everyone is ok - does anyone know if NJ is back yet?

saralou · 30/08/2007 17:44

oh god, i'm so shocked for her! i really can't believe that, and after all the problems they had and were sorting out.. it's horrible.

saralou · 30/08/2007 17:47

looks llike your gonna be a busy little bunny then podglet.. how inconsiderate of you indeed!! (i often winge at dp for his deafness, 'tis unfair sometimes )

podglet · 31/08/2007 14:03

Um, thanks for the gin Sara - hope it is the alcohol free variety because.....................

It would appear that I am pg again it's very early days (not quite 5 weeks) and I am very scared but apparently it never rains....

Cannot quite believe this - DS took 2 years of ttc - however, I have a history of m/c so I'm not brave enough to go over to the ante-natal clubs again.

Eeek!

podglet · 31/08/2007 14:04

Did not mean to add such a big gap - sorry!

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 31/08/2007 14:14

oh podgelt congrats to you!! will keep my fingers crossed for you!

well ds has 4 teeth now, never sits still even when eating and is generally a pita!

however........dh has handed his notice in, we have found the perfect house for rent and we will be moving on the 28th of sept!! im so excited!! have 6 month lease on new place so will be searching for a house in the last 3 months but shall be easier as by then we should have no chain!!

i have a monster headache and have had since yesterday morning (whilst travelling to nottingham and looking for houses, grr) and dd is being a soilt little madam today as she went to MIL's yesterday! oh the joys!

saralou · 31/08/2007 15:45

yay congratulations podglet finger are crossed for ya it sticks!!! xxx (and now you have an excuse to keep away from the diet... but what will happen to your dress???????)

stacey, pleased your house situation is all sorted... good luck with the move!! it's tough starting over, but you'll soon settle in!! an adventure for your whole family!! how fr will it be to travel back to your mums?

i have no exciting news... same shit different day

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 31/08/2007 16:15

well its 2 1/2 hr drive on a clear run, but a clear run is rare using the M1 (esp with the road works) and the M25!!oh well, not the end of the world!

saralou · 31/08/2007 16:46

ah yes the fabulous m25!! havesat on the m1 up to notts a few times

will you have room for over night guests in the new place?

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 31/08/2007 18:14

well twill still have the sofa bed so wont be too bad! dc's will have a room each and a garden, dd ihas set her heart on a trampoline! i cat wait, hopefully it will improve her confidence with walking etc. shes 2.10 and cant jump!!

saralou · 31/08/2007 18:26

they will love the garden, we don't have much of a garden here, mostly decking, but my parents have just moved up the road and they have a huuuuuge garden loads of grass.. the boys love it!!! thats why i'm their most days at the moment!!

littlemissmischief · 31/08/2007 19:37

Ah Podglet Im so excited for you!! Ive got everything crossed for you (sitting very uncomfortably)
Well had a mad couple of weeks, looked after my db's baby (he is 6weeks) for the day, Alfie hated it and clung onto my trousers everytime I went near him and got so upset he made himself violently sick so dont think I will do that again for a while!
Also been on holiday to stay at sil's new mobile home-it was lovely and managed to have a drink and relax, however have been feeling more and more down lately and not been happy with my relationsip, house, life in general really and not sure what tipped me over but last week I realised I was depressed, having had it twice before I know thats where I was at, so im back on the ad's and hoping I will feel better soon.
Other than that ive just been running around after ds, still no teeth but he is walking a bit with a walker and can stand on his own for a few seconds-its all very scary!!!
Stacey-Glad the moving is going well
Saralou - Ill have that gin if your offering

Charlee · 01/09/2007 17:52

Podglet - wow congrats! Another baby on the way, how exciting.

Jack had clinic this week, he has to have a ton of blood tests for his anual review and he has to have several scans and x-rays as his dr thinks his Liver and Gallbladder are having problem, he didn't say what problems i supose we will just havw to wait and see.

We have put our names down for a flatt not far from where we are now a few doors away from my sister so im keeping my fingers crossed we get it! It's only 2 bed so the boys will have to start sharing but we desperatley need out of here!

I have an incredably busy month ahead of me so i will pop in when i can.

podglet · 02/09/2007 08:38

Hi all!

Thanks ladies, have now told DP the news and he is "quietly pleased". We have to work out how things are going to work as I am due back to work at the end of Oct so I may go back full time so I get proper mat leave again but that means childcare will be huge - oh the decisions!

Charlee and Stacey - good luck with the new houses / flats. Fingers crossed that you get the flat Charlee and for DS1's further tests.

Hi Sara - how lovely to have your parents back so close and with the lovely garden. The house we have bought has a lovely big garden and I can't wait

Mummy2TandF · 03/09/2007 01:02

Hi everyone - I haven't had a chance to read the thread and catch up and once again I am here apologising for not posting more regularly. I have got too many things happening at the moment and I don't know where my head is - if you have a look here is should tell you a bit more
