awwwwwwwww, how cute is he podglet!!! love his hairstyle!!!

HappyCatandIzzy · 17/08/2007 16:18

Hi everyone.
I know I've not been on here for absoulutely ages but I'm hoping some of you remember me and might be able to help me.
Has anyone else had problems with their LO spitting all their food out? DD has always loved her food, but has suddenly learnt to blow raspberries and does not appear to swallow anything now. I'm trying increasing the number of finger foods I give her in hope that she will enjoy the independance of feeding herself, but she even spits things out when she's feeding herself. Has anyone any suggestions what I can do? She will eat toast. Is it possible to give her a balanced diet just by putting things on toast?

Other than this problem DD is doing well. I hope everyone else is ok. Sorry not to be up to date. I still don't seem to find much time to be on the computer.

DD just woken up so I'm off again now. I've still no idea how those of you with many children cope!

saralou · 17/08/2007 17:45

hi happycat! you could try using any old purees you've got as a dip.. or theirs the obvious cheese, cheese spread... toasted sandwiches cut into fingers (lots of different fillings you can try then), pate, mash some tuna with mayo, mashed eggs... ummmmmm...

have you tried raisin bread, makes nice french toast.

stop me when you like

hope some of these help

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 19/08/2007 13:12

hi everyone!

hope all are ok! im feeling really worn out recently but cant really put my finger on why! very strange!

iv just enrolled on an accounts course, which will be nice hopefully my brain will start to work again rather than being the mush it is atm!

xxx

HappyCatandIzzy · 20/08/2007 12:10

Thanks for the suggestions saralou. I'm off to Asda to buy lots of toast toppings.

I've got another question now. When people stopped bf did their af go back to normal? I'm confused. I got my first af in 18 months last month, but 35 days later I have not had another. I used to have a regular 28 day cycle. Has anyone else experienced something like this? (I'm too scared to take pg test so am looking for other solutions first!) I am still bf once a day so maybe my body is just really confused?

Charlee · 20/08/2007 12:58

Afternoon everyone.

I am sorry to moan but i feel like utter shit today.

I have been unable to sleep for days and this morning i woke up after a 10 mi cat nap with an almighty great migrain and i couldn't see becuase everything was blurry and to top it off i seem to have some ehem toilet troubles and haven't left the toilet for more than 10 minutes all day which has left me with severe stomach cramps.

HappyCat - I had mt first af 5 weeks ago and nothing yet and i am not breastfeeding at all, i think they can take a while to settle in, hopefully becuase im im preggers i am going to shoot myself.

I am having an obcene amount of blood tests tomorrow my dr is doing an intensive study into my background mecdically to see if he can pinpoint while i coinstantly feel crap which involves 20 bottles of blood being stolen from me!

Anyway best go bathroom calls!

saralou · 20/08/2007 14:31

hi everyone!

happycat, i've had about 3 periods since and i only fed ryan for 5 weeks at the most. their really irregular too, used to have a 35 day cycle now it can come at any time! if you don't 'feel' pregnant, then i 'd say your body's still settling down after all the upheaval!

charlee, hope your bum's not too sore! sorry you feel like shite, hope you get a nice person to take all that blood and doesn't leave bruises! i shall think nice fat vein thoughts for you!!

stacey, good luck with the course!! i love that i can use my brain at work.. 'tis a nice feeling

well, my mum and dad are supposed to be moving today, only the moneys not been transferred yet so still can't swap keys! they're nearly here after driving 2 hours and have nowhere to go (can't come here their dog doesn't like my dog!) the removal van has been sat outside their new home since 1.30... why can this stuff never go smoothly!!

xx

Charlee · 21/08/2007 09:06

I am very at discussing my bum on a public internet forum but ho hum it's a bit better now i still have a monster headache. Im off to have my obcene amounts of blood stolen soon, and although you can wish for my veins to be nice and jucy i will forwarn you they are shit, after all the years of weekly blood tests they have all collapsed, they usually send me up to the hospital to have them done after a good few stabs themselves. They usually go into my hand or ankle these days.

DS is watching Me Too! What a naff programme it is, if i find myself singing the theme tune once more i may break the t.v!

Hugs to all x

Charlee · 22/08/2007 08:28

Where is everybody?

I had my blood tests done, the nurse butchered me totally! It didn't hurt when she did it, but it does this morning its come up all black and purple and lumpy, i have a vain pattern in black all up my arm it looks like a dodgy tattoo.

Sympathy please!

Stacey, i would love to do one of those home courses you see on t.v but i was looking at them and they are all boggin expensive! My mum has done a few they seem quite good, i will hve to save up i really want to do a creative writing one.

podglet · 22/08/2007 13:41

I'm here!

Sorry not been around much but stressy with house move stuff - won't bore you with the details

DS now pulling up on everything and anything. those eyes in the back of my head are coming in very useful

Diet again this week Sara, Day 2 today, the worst day! Really think it is helping though so I shall persevere! Only 2 weeks to go after this sessino...

saralou · 22/08/2007 14:04

hello

charlee, sympathy coming your way... i have shitty veins too, so i can sympathise!

podglet, goodluck with the diet, i haven't done it since! i can't fae the cottage cheese again!!!

michaelad · 22/08/2007 14:12

KaybeeandZak · 22/08/2007 19:26

Hi everyone

No idea how this happened or how I am going to cope with DS and another one...

DS is crawling and pulling himself up on everything, I don't think it will be too long before he's trying to walk. He is such a daredevil.

Oh god, am off to tear my hair out (and join the due in April 08 thread)

SleeplessInTheStaceym11House · 22/08/2007 20:29

littlemissmischief · 24/08/2007 22:29

Hi Ladies - Just wanted to pop on to let you know im still about. Been a hectic week- Had my little nephew on Friday and Alfie screamed everytime I picked him up and made hiomself physically sick-he was so jealous! Had my hair done yesterday for the 1st time since Alfie was 10 weeks old! Am really chuffed and feel a bit more glamourous now. Brought Alfie a new car seat today he looks lost in it but very comfy, wer are going to stay with my sil/bil and nephew in thier holiday home tom and I can hve a drink!! So excited. Hope everyone is ok sorry I havent read through the posts

Charlee · 25/08/2007 08:55

Bonjour!

I am incredably pissed off to the extreme, we recived a lovley letter (not) yesterday from the coucil who are claiming they have been over paying us for the last year and a half so we now owe them £700 and they have taken all our housing and coucil tax benifit away to cover the over payment so now we have to find £800 rent a month and £122 countil tax a month aswell as our huge sewerage and oil bills so we can no longer afoord to live here so we are supmremley screwed! We will probably have to go back into tempory accomodation which means all our stuff will have to go into storage and we will again be in a 1 bed pokey bedsit with no internet!

I hate the council they are bastards!!!!!!!!

DP told me thursady night he wanted another baby, i very politley told him to back the hell off!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO i can't do with another not for a few years at least!

We have enough problems at the moment with out another pregnancy and another baby.

podglet · 28/08/2007 07:24

Blimey, looks like we were all having a lovely BH weekend!

Charlee - that's not nice of your council. I assume you are appealing today? It's not your fault they can't get the figures right. Well done for doing the reading at your Grandad's funeral, you are very brave (did not mean that to sound patronising, v sorry)

Well, we're not having a great time here.

  1. we didn't exchange on Friday. Someone told us a whopper of a lie and it would appear that the chain below aren't ready and exchange is now planned for this Thurs. We are sticking to our completion date though so not all is lost.
  2. It looks like we are going to lose my gran today. Mum had a phone call from the nursing home yesterday to say she is fading fast. Mum is driving down today to be with her sisters and I am just waiting for the phone call I am in pieces already
