4th night! Zzzzz

mummymummymummummum · 25/06/2019 01:50

@Yakadee Best have the next size of clothes ready! She might be going for a good growth spurt!

🤱🏻 😴 here also!

babyp160 · 25/06/2019 03:07

Think it's the heat here 😰

Yakadee · 25/06/2019 07:17

@mummymummymummummum - she's been in 6-9 months for the last month anyway - she's so long! She cried a really pained cry too this morning when she woke up. She's been teething so wonder if that's it?

@babyp160 - thankfully it's not too bad here heat wise. To get warmer at the weekend though x

mummymummymummummum · 25/06/2019 09:34

@Yakadee My eldest had awful nights with her teeth. Luckily only one or two nights per problematic tooth (and not all teeth caused her pain). When I realised that she was clearly not feeding for the milk and wasn't happy I gave a dose of Calpol and/or Nurofen which did help.

detachablehoof · 27/06/2019 22:10

Wow my little girl likes the Ella's kitchen baby rice fruit pouches a LOT! Can't believe how much she ate. (19 wks old.... don't tell HV!!) We've been doing porridge on evenings for about the last week but she defo prefers the pouch. Thankfully it didn't seem to affect her milk intake either. I Will have to Google for recipes as they are pretty expensive! Here's hoping it helps her to sleep better 🤞

sunday38 · 28/06/2019 08:28

detachable could try quick oats eg readybrek or flahavans with mushed fruit. I'd recommend supermarket own brand pouches to save some cash and they are often made in the same place as more expensive brands.

Ro is 19 weeks too and I'm going to discuss whether to start weaning with the HV next week. He's really dropped his milk intake since starting his new dairy free formula and refuses to feed at lot (I think he hates the taste) and reflux is still a problem too so I'm sure his weight will be affected if we don't get something into him to replace the missing milk. I'm gonna have to be extra careful with the weather being hot this weekend so I'm might try offering water to drink too.

On the plus side he's very nearly sitting independently and can manage 10 seconds or so before doing a slow graceful topple over Grin

Hi guys, I kinda fell off the thread again as lifes been so hectic and i tend to just check in on the facebook page more, hows everyone and their little ones doing?

I can't believe my LO is nearing 5 months Shock time has flown and I'm missing my little newborn, I was telling DH to get ready to try for #2 Wink

NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking · 28/06/2019 16:13

So... Reuben had his 16 week jabs last Wednesday, and my placid, easy going, happy baby has gone..

Some of this can be attributed to teething, but he is screaming the house down at times ☹️

He won’t feed, his last bottle was at 8.30am... when should I start worrying? My two older kids weren’t like this.

Notquiteagandt · 29/06/2019 00:01

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking

Hope he has fed now. If not id call 111 and they will let you speak to a paeditrician.

My little girl is 5months monday and I have noticed but not really thought about it until tonight. But she still has her moro reflex at 21wks. Anyone else? Silly me made the mistake of googling it. Im worried now.

Yakadee · 29/06/2019 04:32

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking - hope he's had something now and that he's settling for you.

@Notquiteagandt - I haven't noticed this with Emma but would say that they're all different so might not mean anything. Maybe just keep an eye out and if you're worried, ask your hv?

Emma is such a sicky baby. I'm wondering if there's more to it now. She's sick (like spit up, not unwell) loads during the day. Not always just after a feed. Sometimes it's milk and other times it just like water. It doesn't bother her and she doesn't seem to be in any pain at all, but it just feels like loads. I can go out for a few hours and we can have 6-10 bib changes! Anyone any idea what it is? I was thinking reflux but thankfully she's not in pain etc.

Thanks xxx

1stTimeTina · 29/06/2019 08:14

@NotAsGreenAsCabbageLooking our little one was exactly the same, usually takes 42+ ounces a day but after her injections just wasn't bothered about her milk at all (luckily she had plenty reserve!) we're 5 days on now and she's back to normal, hope your little one is on the mend too x

detachablehoof · 29/06/2019 09:38

We found the 16 wk jabs by far the worst too!

@2019Mama funnily enough I have also been saying to my husband that maybe we should have another baby sooner rather than later. (get all the broken nights over and done with!) A few weeks ago I was absolutely certain I wouldn't be having any more kids. Then I thought perhaps we'll have another one but a big age gap. And now I'm thinking perhaps we'll have a 2yr age gap...
The MH nurse who visits me asked me whether we were planning any more and I told her the above, and she said that's a great sign that I'm getting better from the PND 😅
Definitely not ready yet though, I want to enjoy #1 in her own right!

2019Mama · 29/06/2019 21:03

@detachablehoof Aww it's nice to hear you're getting better.

Husband was up for it, no surprise there he's always been good with kids.. I'm still breastfeeding so there's only a little chance at getting pregnant atm.. I have always wanted to have a small age gap between my kids, but we had a hard time getting pregnant with Zakariyya and a month or so before I found out I was pregnant I was told I have PCOS, so i'm thinking once I start weaning I may get on with it as it took us about 9+ months first time

bubblybrit · 29/06/2019 23:33

Lovely to hear that you are feeling better @detachablehoof

My LO seems to roll onto her side during the night. I have moved her onto her back a number of times but within a few mins she is on her side again. This has only started to happen over the last week.

Is it safe to let her sleep this way given she is 4.5 months? She happily rolls from side to back and vice versa but she is yet to roll from tummy to back and vice versa so I’m worried that she gets into a position that she can’t get out of?

Yakadee · 30/06/2019 06:51

@bubblybrit - my LG has started doing this too in the last week or so. I've been leaving her as when she has been stuck she cries x

bubblybrit · 30/06/2019 07:15

Thanks @Yakadee. She does grumble a bit when she isn’t happy so was going to start leaving her rather than waking her multiple times a night. Just wasn’t sure if it was ok to do so!

Yakadee · 30/06/2019 07:23

@bubblybrit - I've found her rolled on her front and stuck in the bars a few times Haha x

lanalawr · 30/06/2019 08:38

@bubblybrit my first always slept on her side, even as a newborn because that's where she put herself. Ds also does it but that's more because I feed him in bed and he falls asleep that way. If she can roll from side to back and back to side then she should be fine.

bubblybrit · 30/06/2019 08:51

I’m sure we will reach that stage soon @Yakadee

@lanalawr. That’s good to know as I hate waking her up as she is already struggling in the heat!

Yakadee · 30/06/2019 10:02

@bubblybrit - this literally just happened! X

Notquiteagandt · 30/06/2019 11:31

@bubblybrit my little girl since rolling will only sleep on her front with bum in air now 🤣 I figure if she can roll there she can roll back. So im leaving her be. I think its only majorly dangerous if they cant move themselves back.

Also we have not been putting a sleep nag on for last few nights due to the heat. Been trying not to bedshare to for same reason.

How on earth do you stop a baby with this new freedom to move now there legs are out. Shes practically climbing up the side of cot 🤣🙈

sunday38 · 30/06/2019 13:47

2019mama I have PCOS and took 12 months+ to conceive first time round and 6 weeks with my second! We'd started TTC again assuming it would be at least 6 months to a year before it happened. I'd definitely recommend cheap ovulation sticks from Amazon if you have irregular cycles.

bubblybrit · 30/06/2019 21:53

That must have been a sight the first time she did that @Notquiteagandt! My LO is also wriggling around rather loudly due to a lack of sleeping bag! I’m exhausted this week and been constantly checking on her due to her rolling. Then when she is asleep the kicking and flailing of arms start. I’m a pretty light sleeper so been kept awake 😂

Yakadee · 30/06/2019 22:50

I'm so annoyed, I know I'm being unreasonable but still. Emma ALWAYS falls asleep on her last bottle around 9:45pm and sleeps through which is amazing! Tonight though, my husband did the loudest flipping sneeze you've heard in your life, so of course it nearly scared her to death and she's now wide awake squealing and rolling away Haha x
