That sounds like a fab idea csws, hope you have a great day.

We are off to Tesco once sunny patch has finished, then my folks are coming down for the weekend. Off to 80's concert tomorrow so I'm hoping the weather stays as is (beautiful for anyone that is not experiencing the same as us this morning).

Flame, I remember that problem with ds. We used to go to a pool in Peckham and it was a scramble to get the changing room with the cot. A woman actually felt sorry for us standing there shivering and invited us in. I was very thankful to her that day. Now I have 2, I can't cope with them together as neither can swim so I only go if dh comes with me. I really need to get them lessons.

Right, they are fighting so I'd better sort them out

Have a fun day guys.

FlameParakeet · 27/07/2007 08:51

Luckily B can't swim, but she can now stand up fully in the little pool, so she walks

mustrunmore · 27/07/2007 08:55

Er, Jas, are you going to be able to make it there though?

We're off to Willows I'm slightly disturbed at getting excited about it though

Swimming... hmm... when we used to take ds1 as a baby in out gym, all the people in there were very rude about having a child in the changing rooms And I realised the other day, that we havent been swimmming at all since he started nursery (used to do a morning toddler thing, but its cutting it too close to get to nursery on time) I was fine because ds1 can be unheld with his armbands on, and ds2 used to fall asleep either in my arms or the yellow seat thing!! We used to finish just as a scholl group was coming in, so it was a bit of a mare in the changing room though.

FlameParakeet · 27/07/2007 09:01

Will read your post in a min MRM, just needed to bounce - you remember the original nappies that I was trying to get from America, and I had to wait for the waiting list etc... my parcelforce letter has just arrived... they are ready to be collected!!!!

Jas · 27/07/2007 09:04

small (slightlypathetic) bounce for Flame

Hadn't thought of getting there, and have no idea where csws acually lives. Will look at directions and think. I am ok for fairly long periods now, so can probably time it ok

havng said that, dds are playing together really nicely now. If they can keep it up I may just have a bath and do nothing today.

FlameParakeet · 27/07/2007 09:08

I haven't done swimming in aaaaaaaaaaaaaages before now MRM. I was meant to sign B up for lessons this summer... and forgot

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/07/2007 09:12

Well it's fine if you want to Jas. We'll be back home from about 12:30, so any time after that is ok.

Yay for nappies flame.

Can't believe you're doing Willows again without us mrm!

Right, must go - have to set up toddler group this morning, and most of the usual people who help are away, so will be lots to do.

FlameParakeet · 27/07/2007 13:07

Swimming went soooo much better - it was much quieter - DS was more confident (think the quieter plus less tired helped). DD was off and playing with her friend We're booking them both in for lessons together starting September

DS is now registered to start nursery one morning a week as of Sept

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/07/2007 13:49

Oh that will be good for you to get a regular break flame. Had previously toyed with idea of doing that (well, childminder, but same diff) with dd, but still in two minds, so might wait until I'm pregnant again and then do it so that I can have extra sleep and long soaks in the bath!!

Jas · 27/07/2007 17:56

Nursery one morning a week sounds lovely Just what you need.

I am finally feeling a bit better, and dp has promised me a lie in tomorrow, so unless ds or dd1 comes down with the bug we may still make it on Sunday.

We went to the park and played, then did errands this afternoon in the end. DS is very whingy, but I'm hoping it is just because his regular term time routine is being messed with.

Jas · 27/07/2007 18:47

I've just looked atthe picnic thread and it's looking like it isn't going to happen at all.

Flame for nappies

Jas, did you go to CSWS's?

MRM what's Willows? soft play?

Macca enjoy your 80's concert.

Hello everyone else!

A day of all sorts here, dd1 is on star charts again, after being a bugger since I took her out by herself yesterday for a treat, she's really been winding everyone up, after some quality time, sigh...she's currently on minus 6 stars......she is not doing good.....dh is keeping her here tomorrow, if she doesn't get back to zero by doing good things in the morning, so she won't come out with me to see Gran and Grandad........what do you do eh 3 year olds.
I've just discovered, after agreeing to a mate leaving his car on our drive, that the damn biker festival that's on down the road, has The Levellers playing tonight and I can't go shame as so in the mood for a good gig!
Another mate has called to say their Grandad, who was more like a dad (the real one buggered off straight away) has died so all was fairly gloomy tonight until....
My best friend emaild me to say she's booked me a spa day in Oct/Nov/Dec for my birthday so there is a light after all!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/07/2007 20:26

[[http://www.willowsfarmvillage.com/ Willows] Friz.

No, Jas didn't come up in the end, but hopefully will see her Sunday anyway .

lol at minus 6 stars.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/07/2007 20:27

Willows oops!

Frizbe · 27/07/2007 20:29

Cool, looks fab
Hope you all have a great day at the picnic, which I'm sure will happen for you guys

mustrunmore · 27/07/2007 21:02

Off to check the picnic thread; thanks for the email csws.

Willows was great. 2 exhausted boys. alothugh one still fighting sleep

Long night ahead of us; added up how much we spent this month, and we're into serious crisis state The big extras were the ferry and aunties m&s tokens for Isle of Wight, the train tickets for going to Mums, and a big spent in costco(alothugh that was costsaving in the long run). But even taking these into account, the rest has been about £70-100 higher anyway So I'm going to have ot go down the very basic route of just cash for everything, and when it runs out, thats it. So, no (at all) coffee for me, wine for dh, pastries for the boys, no more trips like willows at flipping £10.95 an adult. Lots more baked beans and the park. And less buying bits and bobs at the corner shop, as its so expensive. hmmm.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/07/2007 21:06

Wish you'd bloody get messenger mrm. Would be much easier to keep you up to date that way. email looks like a goer.

Phoenix · 27/07/2007 21:07

Friz - Thanks for trying to help with Trace2's dd I'm thinking her probs def sound all to do with silent reflux after reading some of the other comments.

for ds going to nursery Flame

Forgot to say yesterday good luck for the scan Dame if you're reading.

I felt better today and went back to work. Jas hope you feel better too

mustrunmore · 27/07/2007 21:16

But you know I hate all technology csws! I did almost start to investigate it, but fell at the first hurdle (cant remember what exactly, but prob something along the lines of needing a microphone or some such?) I'm quite happy chugging along on my very slow pc with my rubbishy talk21 email
You know though, since I 'grew up', I do miss having no one to write real letters too, on pretty paper!

Frizbe · 27/07/2007 21:28

Aww MRM I wrote to someone last year, just cause I felt like it, they rang me up to check I was ok, they were in that much shock

Frizbe · 27/07/2007 21:29

Phoenix, I really feel for her, must be horrible not knowing.
