Risk of catching the runs versus a space in your bedroom? Your choice.
TBH if it is as bad as this morning I definitely won't be going anywhere that far from a toilet

What is it with your morning posts lately MRM?

I like soft play - as long as it's one that is low enough for DS. The one I took Friz to is great for him - he can clamber all over the big bit, but it needs to be nice weather to go or he'll be squished by the big kids.

Thanks Friz

Feeling a lot better today - demo in a bit.

FlameParakeet · 26/07/2007 07:49

Jas

mustrunmore · 26/07/2007 07:53

Urgh, Jas Er, get csws to pick up the kids in the busmobile and bring them for you

Getting a bit of help with the postings

Phoenix · 26/07/2007 08:09

Jas i had diarrhoa all day yesterday and felt sick and kept going hot and cold but i think i feel better today. I'm going to work anyway. Hope you feel better soon

Hope you feel better soon too flame.

FlameParakeet · 26/07/2007 08:33

Can you tell me what the postal strikes are for? (In easy to understand words?)

for all the sh*ts!

mustrunmore · 26/07/2007 08:39

Dont know Money? Hours? General whinging?

Have a quick look at my lovely photos here!

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/07/2007 09:30

Err, what is ds1 dressed as?!

Hope you're better before Sunday Jas. You have to come. I can't pick the dc up I'm afraid, as I have the flame troop in the busmobile too, so we will already be full to bursting.

Big sandpit definitely great for keeping dd entertained.

Plans for today changed a bit, as we were up late and I couldn't be bothered to rush about (not up late because we had a nice lie in, but up late because we were up lots in the night, and dd would only settle in with us in the end). Going to take her swimming later this morning, then MIL probably coming round this afternoon.

Phoenix · 26/07/2007 09:38

Turns out i don't feel better and i'm not going to work today

The strikes are cos Royal Mail want to modernise the company which means it will end up worse than it is now for most workers especially who have kids. Our union don't want it to happen so called strikes.

It's also about a wage rise too. Royal mail say they can't afford to give us any more money than has been offered. Recently they have had plasma screen tvs (32"ish) put in all Royal Mail offices so the big boss can talk to us all, now how much would all those plasma screen tv's cost (£millions), and as yet the one in our canteen just shows pictures of posties , and they can't give us a decent pay rise.

This wave of strikes is to cause 'maximum disruption' to the company as all departments are striking at different times. Deliveries and collections are striking Saturday this week and Thursday next.

Best about it when we strike, depending on what hours we work, we're losing £30-£40 a week to get a pay rise of £8 a week

Do you understand all that?

Jas · 26/07/2007 13:19

ds has decided he doesn't need to sleep in the day any more
We went to the pictures and he watched the film

Luckily I hadn't told the dc about the picninc, so I will make a final decision on Saturday. I don't feel ill (did last night though) but am still definitely not right. Toast and water for me all day today.

Chloe55 · 26/07/2007 13:45

Hiya everyone,

Jas/Pg, hope the bum problems have sorted themselves out

Flame - really hope you are feeling better, your doc sounds lovely - wish mine didn't just get you in and out as fast as he can!

MRM - your kids are very artistic and creative

Hello to everyone else.

Feel a bit better today - I have decided to start FLYing again as I seemed to be so on top of things when I did. I have started creating a journal again because I lent my last one to my mate and she still has it. So far I am gutting all the clothes cupboards upstairs, I'm off work today as I worked Monday and I have so far been doing it since 8am and it looks like a bomb has hit!!! I just don't seem to get babysteps

mustrunmore · 26/07/2007 14:19

Ah. I knew Phoenix would give us hte full story! Just lately, I've realised how shockingly oblivious I am to 95% of current news

csws, he's dressed as a dalek, obviously. Cant you tell??!! Hang on a bit and I'll put up the one of him as a knight too....

mustrunmore · 26/07/2007 14:23

here he is

CantSleepWontSleep · 26/07/2007 14:37

Oh yes, obviously .

I also have no clue about news most of the time. Every time I turn on the news (apart from this week, where it's all been floods) I just get to hear about Iraq and terrorism, and tbh I'm finding it all a bit dull after all these years of it.

Sending big get well wishes to everyone!

Jas · 26/07/2007 14:52

I am impressed that you are aware of 5%of the worlds news mrm. I almost never watch it. A little sinks on by osmosis as I have Radio 4 on all night. I find it very depressing, and don't want to have to explain war, murder rape and other horror to my dds.

Quick hello, haven't caught up I'm afraid just skim read and forgotten

I do have a feeling that flame needs a hug and jas too I think, so little sunk in and I read it hours ago.

Chloe, was Joseph really good? I'm going in September and really looking forward to it. Also think I remember reading a post from you and being surprised that people weren't asking if you could be pg?????? but I could of missed other stuff that said you couldn't be

Have got my appointment come through so am off next wednesday to check I have a brain not sure I have TBH forget everything of late

mustrunmore · 26/07/2007 15:11

Good luck for Wednesday.

Er, none of you have commented on my superb photographic skills of ds2 with elongated head Thought he looked quite gnomey.

Talking of news; there was an attempted abduction of a 3yr old less than 2 mins walk from our house, last week

Jas · 26/07/2007 15:15

I know it is and but that is exactly why I don't watch the news

Good luck on Wednesday, let us know how it goes. I guess you'll have to wait to find out.

Thanks for the hug, dame. I think Flame needs it more than me tho. I'm not actually ill really.

If there had only been the first one mrm I would've spent alot longer what you had done to your poor son, but the second was a step too far

Good luck for Wedns dame.

Mum and girl parked and went into house, girl likes to shut door, Mum didnt hear it click, turned round straight away, girl already couple of hundred yards down the road holding strange mans hand Dad ran after them and got the girl back, but only a basic description of the man
