DH found me and sent me back to bed

Feeling a bit calmer now, full blown cold though Just hope I am better this evening for my demo (demo bookings seem to be coming very fast this month, tis good ).

MRM - A card saying what all the bits are will be included, so you know what you have got. Pricewise - that one is set at £40 which only just about covers the prettifying and postage (its about £30 worth of "stuff", by the time its recorded delivery etc). I want to go and get a pack of newborn socks, so they can have that as a cheap extra. I'm trying to work out a set price for the prettifying, and then its just adding that onto whatever you choose to go into it iyswim.

Friz - Yay for gone toothache.

DS is much less snotty today which is gooooooooooooood, DD is hot and coughed all night though

In no time at all you will have done so many demos they won't worry you at all. I hope you feel better soon.

I need to get up and do something I have lots to do but just can't get motivated

FlameDelacour · 20/07/2007 08:17

I'm gradually getting more confidence, I've worked out that if I start off by asking what they know already, a lot of people already have read up and know oodles, I then just need to explain the pros and cons of the different types, and they work out if they want shaped/pocket etc and its then just a case of showing them a few nappies because each question takes more out of the equation.

My love for bambinex must shine through though, they all seem to end up with those . Oddly excited that this is the first demo with the teddies.

I need to get washing round the house to dry - the blacks have been round the machine 3 times now because I keep leaving them and they go stinky

mustrunmore · 20/07/2007 10:16

Hmm. I've got washing hanging in the pouring rainthats bee nthere 2 days already

Jas, you'll be like that Father Ted episode where they're all stuck inthe caravan in the rain with Graham Norton

No Macca, thats not what I wanted to hear. Mind you, I've got Friz's dvd . And when I last did serious running, significant weight loss and shape change occurred even though I virtually dropped the weight training in favour of the running.Like last time, if I lose enough, I'll be happy by default. If you're thin enough, body shape isnt the end of the world, becasue they're arent any lumps to be the wrong shape.

FlameDelacour · 20/07/2007 16:50

Right ladies, I'm on MN/tv/radio silence until I have read the book now

See ya on Sunday

(yes, I know I'm sad, and I don't care!)

I give you till tomorrow morning.

Hey csws, thought of you today, as ds2 was smashing a plate in Pizza Express

TheOrderOfThePhoenix · 20/07/2007 19:29

Are you going midnight shopping Flame? We are off to Asda to get it at midnight

CantSleepWontSleep · 20/07/2007 20:35

Err, assume this is HP we're talking about? When's it out?

lol at PE mrm .
Think your washing could be out for another week or two yet . What are we going to do during wet holidays?!

Have you gone yet Jas? Hope it's not too horribly wet for you.

Well we spent half the day with our usual 'Friday friends', one of whom was a bit whingy, and screamed lots whilst eating his lunch (he'd just napped, so wasn't tired). Got a call from his mum this evening to say they've just discovered that he has hand, foot and mouth disease . We have friends coming for the weekend with a dd 6 months older than dd. Should I warn them? Friend has had it once already, and I know it was a pain for them keeping her off nursery.

Jas · 20/07/2007 20:41

No we go first thing tomorrow. Only actually staying one night.
I dried a load of washing this afternoon

I would call and warn them csws and it is then their choice if they want to risk it. I wouldn't cancel but I guess some might.

HP is out tomorrow I think, which means that you can buy it at midnight tonight if you are daft enough to want to (Phoenix). My mum has preordered it so dd1 can read it at her house in a couple of weeks unless Tesco sell it cheap next week.

I bought dd1 (and me ) some croc rip offs today. I hunted for wellies and couldn't find any in her size anywhere so decided they would do. I still can't imagine wearing them out normally.

I got my crocs the other day and i'm wearing them around the house all the time. I haven't been out in them yet.

We're only going to get the book because dh is at work til late anyway so we'll still be up at that time

Jas - Have a nice time here in sunny Yorkshire

KelBelle · 21/07/2007 11:30

Hello,

I havent been on here all week so will have to catch up later on. I'm organising my 30th Birthday BBQ for this evening, weather is holding out at the moment so I'm hoping it will stay ok. Cant believe I will be 30 tomorrow!!

DS has been throwing MAJOR screaming tantrums, he literally screams. This morning it was because I wouldnt go into the garden to play as I was going to hoover. He is very hard work at the moment.

Anyway, better get sorted out but will catch up later on. Probably tomorrow when I'm recovering from my hangover

CantSleepWontSleep · 21/07/2007 20:28

Just a quickie from me. Been to Whipsnade for the day with friends, and they're staying over. Pushchair got a puncture that repair kit could't fix, so we put it back in car and dd had to walk for last 3.5 hours. She should be well and truly knackered!!

FlameDelacour · 21/07/2007 22:25

Done

Phoenix · 21/07/2007 22:41

Really? How long have you had it? What have you done with your children while you've been reading? I'm only on page 91

FlameDelacour · 21/07/2007 22:48

Midnight last night.

DH gave me the day off today - sent me to my mum's to read in silence He knew it was easier to do that, than risk me having someone tell me the end!

Phoenix · 21/07/2007 22:53

Me and dh got a copy each so one of us didn't read it before the other and let the ending slip

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/07/2007 07:30

mrm/Jas - can I have a schedule of events/daytrips for this week please, so that I can see if there's anything worth/feasible joining you for? Panic just setting in that I haven't planned anything yet!

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/07/2007 15:32

Blardy hell Jas - just phoned Paradise Park, and annual membership is £60 . That's more than joining the National Trust, or my Whipsnade/London Zoo pass! Is it worth it? Is the new soft play area good?

KelBelle · 22/07/2007 22:05

Hi Ladies,

Well I'm really knackered today, had BBQ last night which went really well. DS played until about 10.30pm with the other kids and then was knackered and went to bed fine even with noise going on. Think the last person left about 1.30am so that wasnt too bad at all.

My friend bought me a lovely Radley purse which is gorgeous, I got the new Harry Potter book and some choccies off DS, some clinique lip glosses, flowers and some money to get myself some boots that I want. All in all it has been really nice but I am shattered now so will be logging off shortly to go to bed.

Cant believe you have read the book already Flame!!! I still have the last one to read!!

Hope you are all ok - still not had chance to catch up. Can anyone do me a list of all the happenings for the past week?

CantSleepWontSleep · 22/07/2007 22:50

There's not been much going on Kel. The quietest week I can ever remember on our threads.

mrm is on holiday (had missed that before mrm, so guess you won't be much use to me this week!).
Talk of running and Harry Potter.
We're all dreading the 6 week holiday as we have to entertain the children without our usual groups (or with older children too).
Flame is selling nappy bouquets.
We've all joined facebook.
That's all I can remember.

Off to bed now. Dd hardly slept last night despite her hours of walking round the zoo, so was up early (she had long nap this afternoon, but I obviously didn't!).

2boysmacca · 23/07/2007 08:28

Belated birthday wishes Kel!

I have an extremely grumpy little boy here, which means I'm heading that way too. Poor ds is having to give up things just to appease his baby brother. Arghhhhhhhhh

FlameDelacour · 23/07/2007 08:37

I don't wanna feel ill anymore
