TheOrderOfThePhoenix · 19/07/2007 12:32

There's 5 of me and i've got a unusual-ish surname.

Chloe55 · 19/07/2007 15:15

Aha, there is just one of me as I have a crappest name in the world

I hate letting people down last min even more though and that's what I'd have to do if I used poorliness, I'd just fret about it all the way up to the date. I guess I could just be honest but I'm sure they'll think it's an excuse, they have already rearranged the date for me.

FlameDelacour · 19/07/2007 18:34

A quick what do I do?

Been booked for a demo next week - they have booked me through Babykind (who have still got me on their list for some reason even though as an independent agent they state they will not list me...). It is lots easier for me if they order through BumFluff rather than emailing me, sorting out prices etc.

Can I just give them the business card and tell them to do it that way, or is that wrong? They get a better rate on the Bambinex if they choose those through me anyway.

I don't know if it is a dodgy ethical area, or if its all null n void since its Babykind's error in the first place?

Give them the business card and tell them to do it that way, and phone Babykind and explain that you need to be removed from their list as you are independent, so they won't profit from any contacts that they make for you.

Chloe - be honest. Did your mother not teach you that 'honesty is the best policy'?!

Reflexology tonight for me .

FlameDelacour · 19/07/2007 18:44

To be fair, I have told Babykind once that I am still on the list, and they do still profit from me, just depends on what the customer orders iyswim.

Reflexology sounds goooooooooooooood - I miss mine

Nappy bouquet making for me!

Should I be worried that they aren't showing an 'estimated xxx' comment against dh's flight again, and it's due to land in 1 minute? Last time they did that they waited until 15 mins after it should have landed to comment that it was going to be an hour late .

FlameDelacour · 19/07/2007 19:03

Yup

Bear in mind that the travelling test has still to come.... but what do you think?

I think I've missed something??? I presume it's a gift for new mums??? If so, f*ing brilliant idea!!

FlameDelacour · 19/07/2007 20:18

Lol, sorry - tis a nappy, wrap, vest and booties. If I can get some decent lightweight boxes to send them in, then I will be all set to sell them as gifts. The first run (lovely lady being my guinea pig) is being sent in a cardboard box with oodles of padding!

Looks good flame .

Plane was 20 mins late in the end. Think daddy coming home and have a giggle with dd might have got her too excited before bed though - took her half an hour to go to sleep .

Massage woman due any min. Should be back on about 10.

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/07/2007 20:44

I've got Morgan and TicTac on facebook too now btw!

2boysmacca · 19/07/2007 21:02

Really good idea!

2boysmacca · 19/07/2007 21:03

oh, prob too late but any need for booties, never put mine in them? Still love the idea though.

FlameDelacour · 19/07/2007 21:12

The girl chose what was going in there

OP posts:
mustrunmore · 19/07/2007 21:16

Flame, thats really nice. But it depends on cost; you know me! I 've seen something similar before, but absolutely extortionate. And how does it look as you remove the packaging? I mean, is it immedfiately obvious, or do you have to kind of give it a few seconds to sink into your brain? I hope I'm being constructive not negative!

Just done a teeny run with dh, first for almost 3 years I think, certainly more than 2 1/2. Only did my 4.4km route, but it was sooo nice to run together agin Bit pissed off that we were fairly evenly matched though, as I was always better than him, and should be much better now as he never runs anymore But I did have to let ds1 watch telly on a telly-ban night, and let him fallasleep in our bed, else he'd have been up and tantrumming when she arived
The last few months, I've finally found a few people that I'd class as friends and that dont mind swopping favours ie like sitting in here tonight for 1/2 hr. Life isnt all that bad really. Apart from me being huge.

Last day of term looming tomorrow. Holiday on Sat!!!

2boysmacca · 19/07/2007 22:04

for run
This is probably not what you want to hear MRM but my sister is trying to lose weight too, and her PT has told her that running will just make her fitter, to actually change body shape you need to do gym work (she is a guinea pig for a friend who is training as a PT - my sister hates exercise and has always shied away from it). Was backed up by my PT too, said initially running you will shed a few pounds but after that it's gym work that needs to be done alongside cardio.

Jas · 19/07/2007 22:36

I like it Flame (but would also buy without bootees if it were me choosing) Very well presented.

for run, and for friends you can swap favours with.

It is going to rain all weekend in Yorkshire

Frizbe · 19/07/2007 22:45

MRM but for the gym work, you have the DVD I sent you, so job done get those baked bean cans out

Jas, thanks, hope you have a great one too, although the weather is looking totally rubbish for you looks like we should just miss most of it, as it's moving from where we're going about lunch time, phew.

Flame that gift looks great lovely idea.

Chloe, tell em the truth, your totally skint, if they offer to pay for you for the night, woo hoo!! bet they won't though....

CSWS thanks for adding me to your facebook, saves me looking, will play with it all next week and find mrm on there too!!

Have a good one ladies and catch you all next week.
Oh ps. got my filling sorted today have none achy toof again!

CantSleepWontSleep · 19/07/2007 23:01

Blimey Friz - has your tooth been hurting all this time? Glad it's sorted now.
