afternoon all

erm...have read the posts but am now trying to remember, so in no particular order, here goes...

One Big Meet Up (sounds like Radio 1 event) - have posted my dates on the other threads.

Growth Spurts - Think W is being a text book baby, which would certainly explain waking more at night for feeds (he's 12wks on weds) And he's taking ebm from a bottle like a good'un

mammyjo do you fancy meeting up sometime? maybe in Bridgend? (all this time on mn and we've never met up!)

We had a lovely weekend, just very chilled. Helped by me having my haircut, sans dc Then out for lunch yesterday afternoon.

Have embarked on the adventure that is potty training with J. Been using Pampers feel n learn, and they seem to making him more aware of his movements. Well, he pulls them down to show me everytime he does a poo

And as for all the "naughty" chat.......I'm shocked, speechless, gobsmacked......Although my own personal motto used to be

When I'm good, I'm very good. But when I'm bad..

I'm even better

Although am a respectable married woman now

Hi everyone
Can't remember anything but sleeping bags, I love them as he no longer wakes up from kicking the covers off. Bought some really cute ones from ebay the other day with a mouse on the front.
I have an ebay q too, I sold something the other day and haven't had payment or any message, how long do I leave it before offering 2nd chance or relisting, and how do I go about registering that?

normabutty · 02/07/2007 17:45

katy I think it's 7 days but not sure

maveta · 02/07/2007 18:06

JoMa - he would be no use at translating either! We speak spanish at home, his english is good but not up to paypal-speak .

I know what the words mean..literally 'not withdrawn' but in the context of paypal I don't know what it means i.e. I don't know what the possible responses are. It's hard to explain. It's clearly not 'pending payment' or 'payment rejected', it seems like an ambiguous response IYKWIM. I'm not explaining very well...it means it hasn't been 'cashed' but doesn't indicate if that's solely because they haven't received it/ accepted it or what. hmmm... off to hassle the seller again..

maveta · 02/07/2007 18:12

Oooh and FIL just bought us a maclaren quest sport! yay (please don't now tell me they are rubbish!lol) going to pick it up on saturday. can't wait for N to get to 3 months when we can use it, dying to get shot of the bloomin' travel system. It's all pretty and blah blah BLAH but SO bulky, am looking forward to having a lightweight pushchair to throw in the boot.

It says it can be used from 3 months, can it really? Hard to believe he'll fit it in only a month's time..

JoMa · 02/07/2007 18:26

off to a meeting, will make new thread on my return

See you later Ellie!!!

Katy44 · 02/07/2007 18:39

thanks norma, will see what happens and do something in a couple of days!
maveta, do you mean N will be sat up? I've been wondering that, T will be much happier when he can see the world and I was wondering how old he needs to be. He has very good head control and could sit I think if strapped in, and obviously if I leave it another couple of weeks he'll be even better...suppose I should just get the thing out of the cupboard and try it! What age do they normally go in a push chair?

Katy44 · 02/07/2007 18:40

wow i ramble
I blame the assignment avoidance

normabutty · 02/07/2007 18:46

I'm wondering when I can put my pushchair seat up a pit. I know it has to be flat at birth but it doesn't say when you can start raising it...am sure Erin would prefer to see a bit more

normabutty · 02/07/2007 18:46

bit not pit

Katy44 · 02/07/2007 18:49

I didn't know they could be in a pushchair at birth? You mean I've been fighting with the pram all these weeks?
I really should learn to read the instructions!!!

octo · 02/07/2007 18:50

katy - shes not called redwesty is she? - my ebayer has failed to pay and now unregistered. Have gone to dispute.

am going to ikea tonight .... to get a rug and some candles - on my own

Our garden has nearly been finished - just need some turf now and will have a lawn - hoorah!

dh's mid life crisis car has arrived - is very smart and very fast - do you think I'll be able to squeeze a rug into it? he is being very protective.

Must go - have wriggly ernie balanced on my lap and dinner half cooked!

elkiedee · 02/07/2007 18:55

maveta, I would think the seller should contact you to explain if there's a problem, can you send a message and ask? I had it happen to me because I use a credit card on paypal normally, and you have to pay paypal something each month to be able to accept credit card payments which you don't if you only accept bank account paypal, I think.

good luck with the assignment katy, and very wise to try and get on with it despite the revised deadline.

mammyjo · 02/07/2007 19:03

Lol katy!!

Octo, enjoy ikea in peace. Oh for just a couple of hours of peace and quiet.

Norma, as far as I know you can raise the pushchair up from about three months. I think you have to wait until they get a reasonable amount of head control. Raise it a little and see how she goes. You will soon know if its too much when she keeps flopping down to the sides!!

Runny, would be lovely to meet up in Bridgend sometime. I forget that you live so close to me. I am in Cefn Glas. Where are you exactly? Would be happy for you to come to my house if you like rather than tackling town with the dc's. Up to you though as I really dont mind. Either post a message on here or email me if you like.

Maveta, my mate has one of those maclaren pushchairs and she raves about it. Very sturdy and quite light to push about I believe. I have a bulky travel system, one of the three wheel jobs with proper tyres. Can be a bit difficult around shops with narrow aisles but other than that I love it! Can push it over any ground without getting stuck. I bought a small stroller for ds a good while ago, very light but the little wheels got stuck in any rough ground I tried to go over.

Sorry for anyone I have missed. Have a good evening.

elkiedee · 02/07/2007 19:14

katy, I think it depends on the model of pushchair, there are some which have several positions including fully reclined. I'm battling with a pram too, which my mum acquired via freecycle for me.

Katy44 · 02/07/2007 19:14

No, octo she was called pauline (something). It hasn't been that long, invoiced her on the 29th, so I'll give it a few more days - just didn't want to be dashing around at the last minute. Hope you get your dispute sorted.
Right, off to do housework xx

Katy44 · 02/07/2007 19:15

Thanks elkie, looks like I might have to break the habit of a lifetime and read the instructions

normabutty · 02/07/2007 19:16

Thanks mammyjo, will maybe give that a go then. Erin likes to look round, she's a nosy little thing

Hi Octo

Hi Elkie, you still coming up to Leeds?

erm...forgotten anything else I might have been gonna say

oooggs · 02/07/2007 19:37

Octo - really jealous that you can pop to Ikea. I am having to get a 'company' from ebay to buy something for me and send it down, costing value of product + postage + £10 which is cheaper than my petrol money and alos if I drove up I would have to take dt's & puschair so no room for purchase.

normabutty · 02/07/2007 19:40

Oooogs, you should have said...I could have bought it for you and used that ebay courier that's only £5.99

Kneehighinnappies · 02/07/2007 19:46

I went to Ikea on sunday, and came back with aload of teddies, we had put them in the trolly to entertain dd1 and I had to go change her nappy told dh to take them out at the till and did he? yes and put them on the bloody belt for the register

oooggs · 02/07/2007 19:48

she hasn't done it yet I am after
this page

and three off thispage

but you have enough to do

normabutty · 02/07/2007 19:51

hmm...i think that ebay thing is £5.99 per irm so might not work out cheaper. If you can find a courier who is cheaper than what you'll pay I'll happily get them for you, DH can call on his way home from work

normabutty · 02/07/2007 19:54

That should say per item not per irm!!!
