Now dad finished work at 3 supposedly, and mum said they'd be here by 6.30 ish. So I reckon that actually means they'll arrive about 5.30, so I'd better be off here about 5...they don't seem to get this computer malarky.

CaptainDippy · 26/06/2007 16:54

Too right nutty - esp as she is screaming now ......

bubblez · 26/06/2007 16:56

Hey i have just realised that i completely forgot to update you all on T's progress....

She is 13weeks today.
She had her 12Week jabs last tuesday (thank gaud there is only one lot of those left) and she eweighed in at 11lb 9oz at 12weeks which is good.
She drinks 6oz of ff and is going on to 7.
She coos and 'ahgoo's' and smiles all the time (esp at her 5am feed when i put her back in her moses basket).
Her bed time is between 8.30-9.30 and the latest she goes donw at is 10. And she sleeps throught till 5am (unless she is having a bad night)
She sits up (aided), she hasn't rolled over yet though.

I think that is it really, oh apart from seeing as she is half greek and part indian, in true tradition she is going to be getting her ears pierced soon. (i know that is a bit of a taboo subject to metion on some parts of mumsnet)

CaptainDippy · 26/06/2007 17:00

She sounds fab, bubblez .... elliek (JoMa)'s Joe is pulling himself up to half sitting too - quite scary!! Strong little things ain't they!!? Indian & Greek!!? Wow - I'll bet she is gorgeous!!

AngeG · 26/06/2007 17:02

Soory all started typing my message to bubblez then had to go and get J from pre-school so x posts with loads of you.

Dippy - Fantastic that P smiled today...the first one is so precious.

Can't remember if I said it already, but congratulations Yvie...what a lovely birthday pressie.

Zazas - good luck with the house move and very of your trip to paris...have a great time.

Well done for getting K weighed SOKL 10 oz in 2 weeks isn't bad.

Lovely photo of the Scottish meet up glad you all had a good time.

I have to agree with you Maveta...I love my Dyson, although mine's not as sexy as Dippy's. Glad the BF has turned the corner, good on you for battling through.

CaptainDippy · 26/06/2007 17:05

My Dyson wants to know what your Dyson looks like ange!!?

AngeG · 26/06/2007 17:11

Hi again Dippy PMSL at house guests

Thanks for the update bubblez, she sounds wonderful. Would love to see a photo when you're up to posting one.

Izzy has just started to pull herself up to sitting holding onto my fingers and today she rolled from her back to her side and back again.

What age are they 'supposed' to do things? I have completely forgotten

maveta · 26/06/2007 17:11

aww I´m getting embarrassed now.. it wasn´t really all for the sake of a higher purpose or anything, I´m just bloody minded! And I knew (or was told) that if I could just get past the awful bit it would mean an easier life in the long run (in terms of having food always ready to go as and when with no preparation..) but I must say, you guys and MN in general really did get me through it..so big kisses to the lot of ya!

Do any of you find muslins just disappear?? I was sure I had about 20 and I´ve just washed what I thought was all of them, and there´s only 6 on the line?? Counting up the one or two I have in current action the most I can find is 10.. so where in the name of Nora are the rest of them??

AngeG · 26/06/2007 17:12

PMSL at your Dyson asking Dippy It is the silver and lilac one...my favourite colour.

AngeG · 26/06/2007 17:13

Totally agree Maveta, muslins disappear in this house too.

bubblez · 26/06/2007 17:14

My children are both half greek quarter indian/jamaican quarter gyaneese(sp)[south american] although you ouldn't guess to look at (maybe a little more so ith T)...

I've seen the photos of your three little girlies and they really are gorgeous and the older 2 looked lovely in their floer girl dresses.....xxxx

It is so nice to get updates of all the lo's photos.... hen my pc is up and running i'll have to send some of my 2 i think.

maveta · 26/06/2007 17:26

Wow Bubblez, what a mix! Bet they have the loveliest skin colour (jaundiced indeed! )

Photo hot of the press taken 10 mins ago and uploaded to my profile.. go on, have a look. go on, go on, go on Despite looking very much like his Dad, he doesn´t look in the slightest Spanish, he looks pretty much like any other pasty skinned british baby to me . Poor love obviously has my colouring...

CaptainDippy · 26/06/2007 17:27

Oooooh yes - please do - your children sound yummy - I want a little black baby tbh - they are sooooo beautiful - unfortunately, I feel I may have married the wrong man ..... ......

We have about five million muslins here - never running out / loosing them ...... DD2 was the sickest sick meister in the entire universe - so we had shares in Muslins R Us and now our house is full of them - We don't need clothes, we could just stitch them together & make outfits .... like I could be arsed.

Think I am going a bit mental.

Katy44 · 26/06/2007 17:27

bubblez, my T had jaundice at about day 3 or 4 which I know is normal and it went quite quickly.
We then thought it came back a couple of weeks ago which is not normal, but the paediatrician didn't agree, and said even if he was it was extremely slight.
Glad your LO was OK, would love to see a pic.
Meant to say in my last message, when I told your DH handle everything that of course I hope he's ok as well, didn't mean to imply he would be fine iyswim

CaptainDippy · 26/06/2007 17:28

Ooooh maveta - yum - loving all his hair (I like 'em hairy!! ) what a cutie!!

CaptainDippy · 26/06/2007 17:32

Aw Maveta Noah is gorgeous. V.of all that hair, G is still quite a baldy baby.

Bubblez, hope you start to feel better soon. You made the right decision but it must be so hard. Take care of yourself.

We got sent home today from hospital. Got there at 1030 and they put a local anaesthetic gel on his hands, inside his elbows and on both feet. Waited for an hour for that to work, then doctor came to put canular in. Tried both hands, inside one arm and a foot with no success. By which time George was screaming from being held down so long and bleeding from a couple of the places where the needle had gone in. That doc gave up and said he'd get someone else to try. An hour (a feed and a nap) later another doctor showed up and tried the inside of the other arm with no success. G screamed right through that attempt. The nurse phoned the dept of nuclear medicine and said she thought 5 attempts were more than enough for a 10 week old and asked if they could reschedule. We'll have to go back in a month when he's a bit bigger and hopefully his veins will be easier to site.
I'm not at all squeamish but it was hard to see George so upset. was a relief when they decided to give up.

Whoops

AngeG · 26/06/2007 18:42

Leaky - How horrible for you to have to watch them try 5 times. Poor G I always found when Jake was in NICU that he hated more having his hand held to take the blood than the needle itself...hope it's better in a months time.

Pinions · 26/06/2007 18:43

Scottish babies all gorgeous (didn't have time to look b4). Sounds like you had a great time, lovely babbas x! (lucy doesn't look too happy tho???)
