Happy Birthday Ryan!!! glad he was feeling better today!!

my laptop got picked up today so hopefully should be back soon, i feel so lost without it!

junior is trying so hard to walk but he just falls over!! he can stand up unaided now and tries dancing but ends up landing back on his bum!!

whilst i was cooking today i heard junior and dd laughing their heads off! went and checked, they were both wrestling in juniors cot and dd was throwing herself all over him! but he loved it!! and after dd got junior all tired out she put his cover over him as he lay on his pillow! it was soo sweet!!

ive been getting migraines last few nights due to period, my eyes really hurt! so im going to get a shower and get an early night.

goodnight ladies xx

Morning all

Put on 1.5lbs at class last night.Class leader gave me an entry form to fill out for Slimmer of the year.Don't think for a second i'll win but nothing ventured nothing gained right??

Might get me back on the straight and narrow
if nothing else.

Ds1 is away to Wales with his gf and her folks and ds2 is going to stay with my mum tonight(get the flags out!!!!) so DH and i will be all alone, well apart from the dd's obv.Am not letting either of them sleep this afternoon so they go to bed early.
Have got some steak etc so will have a romantic meal and see what happens after that better be something to work off the meal lolo.

Dd1 managed to reach up to/climb on something the mantelpeice and got Eilidhs nail scissors that i had been using and chopped off some of hers and Eilidhs hair I was soooo mad with her and i don't know yet how i managed not to do something awful to her.As it was i shouted and screamedand she looked terrified, she has told everyone that i was horrible to her and has asked Daddy to read her bedtime story since.Thankfully she didn't cut their fringes or maybe i would have flipped

Off to get ds2's stuff ready to go to my mums, she's picking him up at 1pm.DH and i haven't had the place to ourselves since just before Dd1 was born.Gonna get shot of the 2 ds's more often!!

have a good ay all xx

Morning girls,

Hi algach! Hope the new haircuts are looking good! Scary though. Joey has now discovered how to stand on his potty and reach things that were previously safely out of reach. So that potty is all wrong...
Sounds like you are a busy bee. Can we vote for you for Slimmer of the Year!!???

I'm at home today again, DH had to work again, so here I am, waiting for a courier to turn up before I can go anywhere. Hate that...

Kayley stood alone just for a nano second today, and then slowly and gracefully sat down on her bum. So she's getting the balance.

Pretty, don't you just love it when they laugh their heads off together!! It just melts your heart. My two do it when they hide behind the curtains from each other. Any wrestling still ends in screaming though!!!

Kayley distinctly says 'bubbles' now, (well 'bubba') and points at the bubble bottle, and I have to blow them for hours for her.

Right I better go, apparantly Kayley is being naughty... I'm guessing it'll be her brother trying to frame her...

Have a good day

Annie

PavlovtheCat · 06/07/2007 13:10

Wow lots of walkers now! Great isnt it?

HC, hope funeral went ok [hug].

Bella went to second Waterbabies lesson today, she 'swam' underwater, with me holding her. It was a bit scary but she loved it! She could not wait to do it again and kept dunking her head under in anticipation!

She is currently sat on a musical footsteps floor matt, and its loud! Got this annoying child going '8, 9, 8, 9, -8-8-8-8, 9, 7'! As she is sat on several feet with numbers on!
I might have to turn it off for a bit .

Algach - well done for being entered for slimmer of the year! And enjoy your steak tonight

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 06/07/2007 14:01

HC what have they done now?????

HumphreysCorner · 06/07/2007 14:28

Happy B'Day to Sefton for yesterday. Sorry to hear things aren't going to well for you. {{hugs}}

Oh, the inlaws latest thing. Well, MIL gave me a leaflet on the Greenthumb Company who come and feed and weed your lawn. I try and do it twice a year using 2 big sacks costing nearly £25 each time. Seem to have less time to do this as it takes forever to walk up and down so thought I would get a quote from them as MIL said they pay less that what I spend each year. Anyway, got the quote for 4 treatments a year at £78 per go Managed to negotiate £60 for back lawn only and just 2 treatments per year. Spoke to MIL this morning and told her then she said FIL wants a word. Of course I am stupid having it done as it will make the grass grow too quickly, have picked the wrong 2 treatments and he thinks we should kill all the grass and reseed it to eliminate twitch. As you all now my garden is quite big so would need a mortgage to pay for seed and neither DH or me have the time to do it. I have spent £100's on getting my 'field' looking nice and he doesn't have to look at it. GGGRRRRHHH!!!

Saw the new week old baby girl yesterday-gosh, did make me broody.

AnnieAlcoholLeft · 06/07/2007 14:45

Hi Sleep, sorry hear things aren't all rosy with your DH, but HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Sefton for yesterday! Hope work is going ok for you.

HC, I know exactly that attitude, 'we know best, cos we are more experienced and wiser than you'. I know it's hard but just humour them and then do it your own way. It keeps the peace but it's your field after all!! Maybe you could get some sheep, so you don't have to mow it later... no?
Broody eh?????

Speaking of broody, where's Lysette got to?

Ceebee74 · 06/07/2007 16:26

Sleep - a belated Happy Birthday to Sefton - and congratulations on his walking. Hope that whatever the problems are between you and your DH, they can be resolved {{{{hugs}}}}

HC - ignore the IL's - as Annie says, smile and humour them and then do what you want anyway

Annie - Lysette is on holiday (Thailand or Singapore maybe - can't remember exactly) - she is back this week sometime.

Boring day today thanks to the rain - I don't think I could have picked a worst week to be on holiday even if I had picked a week in January.

dh off now for weekend and has monday off for charlottes birthday so hopefully good weekend ahead. we are going to edinburgh zoo on monday for her birthday so hoping the rain will hold off just for a while

weird thinking about this time last year today last year i was admitted to hospital due to pre-eclampsia and was stuck in there until they finally agreed to induce me 2 days later after much begging mind you, so boring in there just wanted her out

right better get this posted before i lose it all, (i know, ive gone overboard on all the smiley faces) have a good night ladies xx

Afternoon girls.

Just put some new pics on my profile if anyone wants a nosey. Haven't got a good recent one of Kayley cos of her eczema, but it is improving the last few days (since I've been at home, funnily enough... maybe she's allergic to DH!!)
The scenery one is the sea opposite my house (where I grew up in Kerry). The tide has gone out and we are looking for crabs and shrimps and stones and muddy puddles...

Had a lovely afternoon reading my book in the garden, while the two are slumbering (still are ) instead of MNing, cleaning, hoovering or preparing dinner. So maybe it's not just when I'm at work that I'm a skiver. Or maybe it's just force of habit now. Oh dear!

Happy Birthday KZ!! Is it today? I thought the 9th, but I'm probably all confused...
LOL at all the rude people and especially the way you dealt with them! Strange how it's always the 'posh' people who are the rudest. Hope you get some sleep tonight, and Chili, don't drink too much today, eh?

Hi Beadmum!! Glad I could make someone smile

HI Ceebee, thanks, I thought Lysette had been a bit quiet. Now I remember. When do we get our normal brains back does anyone know, instead of this mush for brains I've had for over two years???? Wonder if she's up the duff yet?

Ok, K's awake, gotta go

jom · 07/07/2007 20:49

Happy birthday KZ Hope you get a good nights sleep with no wake up calls from chilli, though with all those expressos you may even find it hard to even get off to sleep!

Brilliant pics Annie. Love the one of Kayley following in her Mummys footsteps, and that beach shot is brilliant - and looks like great fun! What cute kids you have

Sleep- hope the job is going well, and you and DH sort things out. It wasn't a good day in the house of jom today for what its worth - my DH can be so selfish as times, drives me mad.

Hi Girls and babies/ little toddlers{sad] but too!

I posted on the last thread but must smell because everyone buggered off

Happy birthday to all I can't keep up with the dates, Logan's birthday is not till 2nd august. Wow 1 already!

We came back yesterday from our first holiday as a family of 5. It was fab only got to read one chapter of my book but it was relaxing. I've got a good tan the kids were well behaved just a bit of bickering between dd and ds1 as to be expected.

Logan is miserable today though! he was exposed to chickpoxs 27 days ago and I was worried that he'd get them before holiday or hopefully during so that I could stay in spain for a while longer but he's developed spots today and is as nightmareish as I've ever seen him except for when he had his operation on his feet at 7 weeks old. But he's also cutting his very front top teeth and has splinter in his hand from crawling around on holiday which is now infected but he won't let me touch it! So I don't think sleep is on the agender tonight because I have my sisters baby too who is usually breast feed during the night but won't take bottles and doesn't want a feed when I have him wed and thurs!

Anyone have any ideas how I can get this splinter out? I'm back at work on monday so can get some numbing cream but would like to get it out sooner rather than later. Anyone elses baby had chicken poxs yet how did you cope? The other kids were 3 and 5 when they had it so could at least tell us what the problem was.

Back soon I won't stay away so long in future.

kbaby · 08/07/2007 21:34

Firstatforty- What ive been doing for our DC is on the inside covers of their baby books I used to write a bit about them, their new words and what they were doing every few weeks. Its been lovely looking back on DD?s to see how she compares to DS. For example DD at 11 months 3 weeks was pointing to her head, toes and nose if you asked where were they, could say mum, dada, duck, quack, all gone and oh dear and had taken a few steps alone but still mainly cruising. She was also waking at 1am until 3am playing in her cot each night.

Before you all say congrats, DS has taken a few steps but still prefers cruising and crawling and it?s a bit sporadic when he decides to do it.

Hc- Your garden does look lovely but doesn?t grass just need a mow? I don?t envy you with all that feeding.
Kayzed- I think the older you get the ruder you get as there are so many old biddies who I find very rude but then moan about the young people.
Babalon- Could you do it while hes sleeping, put some teething gel on it first to numb it.

So many birthdays I cant keep up. So a big happy birthday to everyone.

Dh is still banging on about moving. Hes well up for it but im not keen. I cant be arsed having to redo another house with 2 dc and the big increase in mortgage frightens me.

HumphreysCorner · 08/07/2007 21:45

Hi all

Hope everyone is fine and dandy-have been busy mowing the grass and strimming. Can't wait for Greenthumb to blitz those weeds.

We went to watch Emma in her first Dance Concert-bless her, she did everything she should but managed to lose her black dancing skirt. Honestly, some of the dancing was truly spectacular and we all enjoyed it. SIL and BIL got stuck in traffic on the motorway so didn't make it.

Happy B'Days for you girls tomorrow.

Em said something so funny today. DH asked her if she wanted another little brother or sister and she said 'no, I only want 2 brothers so if mummy eats a lot again a brother might come out'. Bless, she thinks that Sophie appeared as a result of me overeating and now I am watching what I eat she thinks this must be a form of contraception-lol!

Off to bed so will catch up tomorrow. Love to all.

Ceebee74 · 09/07/2007 07:36

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Charlotte and KZ - hope you all have a fab day today

HC - how funny of Em - I guess it is true when they say kids say the funniest things

Babalon - lovely to hear from you. No advice re the splinter but sympathies for Logan - it must be really irritating for him.

Had a quiet weekend here - guess we are saving ourselves for the big 'birthday' weekend next weekend. From the hints DH has dropped I think I am going to get MIL overload next weekend - apparently she wants to come round on Saturday (Josh's actual birthday) and then also for his party on Sunday - aaaagghh!!

No news here - Josh still cruising away but seems to have no intention of letting go and standing by himself, let alone walking! Still no words either - I guess he isn't going to hit either milestone before he is one.
