In honour of Sophie's impending birthday this week, I thought I would start a new thread....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE GORGEOUS TOBY !!!!!

Wow, they're all grown up now...

Lovely and sunny again here in London. I hope to go for a swim later. I had one yesterday, only did 6 lengths again, but it was at the end of the day and I wanted to get home to my babies. I almost chickened out but glad I didn't!

K was to the doctor again this morning, her eczema has really improved, so we just have to keep moisturizing and if it flares up again, slap on the steroid cream again.
She's booked in for her MMR next week . DH booked it and he said it was for three things. I don't think he knows what he's talking about tbh. It's just the one jab, isn't it? [confused even though I know I'm right].

HC, WOW!!! 9.5 lbs. Is that in just one week?
Fanstastic (even though you are perfect as you are now) so treat yourself to a smartie! Hope you got some sleep, and the sunburn is ok. Mine's ok, thanks to slathering on lots of Dove Summer Glow! So I don't know what's real, or what's fake anymore. Just hope it doesn't peel...

I cant see the similarity in them at all. In fact I don?t think DS even came from us as he has light hair and tanned skin. Me, DH and DD are light skinned and dark haired.

DS tends to sleep for 1.5 hrs at 10am ish and DD is normally in nursery then so if she wants to do colouring etc she has to do it out the garden to avoid DS chubby hands attacking everything and tempers fraying(mainly mine)

DS fell off the decking this morning. He loves DD?s old baby trampoline and was bouncing on it and climbed down only to then fall off the decking. We have clinic today so I have to take him with a big scrape on his cheek now!

We got ours from lilduckduck.com/thank-you-cards and they offer to post to the uk. I couldn?t find any UK companies doing anything similar so if you manage to find any let me know. The verse was ?borrowed? from kimsphotocreations. Another one to use is

Having a really bad day I appealed for funding for a different brace for Logan to have for his feet. The primary care trust rang this morning and said it's been rejected. I don't think they even read the letterotherwise theres no way they could turn us down. So we'll have to pay £250 per pair untill he's 4 ish.

sorry KZ and everyone else but we're not going to make the meetup. we too have the child from hell here - he's fine with other people around or at the creche, but with mummy he's a little monster! wingeing, crying, screaming, doing exactly the opposite of what i say.

but on the other hand, he does have a top tooth coming through and rivers of snot down him today from the obligatory head cold that has started with the arrival of a new tooth. had to sleep with him in the spare bed last night from 1130 because he couldn't breath enough to suck his thumb back to sleep.

o'h and he also ripped the ctrl and Fn buttons off the laptop yesterday afternoon.

happy birthday toby and all the others i have missed in the middle. sorry everyone i know i've been crap recently, will do better.

Aw. What can I say. Thanks so much girls, for all the well wishes, it means alot. Toby had a brilliant day, we went to the farm, and had our picnic, and then came home to tea with the best china and his grandparents, DH's mum came up from Andover to stay the night, and I had baked scones and a cake, which all went down a treat! Plus champagne of course!

Can't believe my baby is one. Have been reliving the day today, oh at this point I had my waters broken, oh now I was in the cafe downstairs with DH having a sausage roll and my waters REALLY broke all over the floor, to much hilarity, oh now I had to get out of the birthing pool cos the hot water on the ward ran out, to less hilarity, oh now I swore at the midwife saying "Just pull him out goddamn it can't you???" etc....and tonight I would have been up all night feeding him. Like ALL night. I remember being called again to get up to come and feed him in Special Care and seeing another mother in a side room blearily breastfeeding and giving her a wink as I walked passed and saying "Sleep when you're dead eh?" and getting a grin in return. Bit of Mum's camaraderie. Keeps you going. And THAT'S what I get from you guys. Support, in-it-togetherness, and some Mummy love. Thankyou.

sorry babalon meant to say that's pretty rotten for you. can you appeal? my mum is going through the same sort of thing for tests for parkinsons and i am on at her to appeal if they say she can't have the tests on the nhs.

Charlotte has finally got her 3rd tooth and the other top one is almost through so shes not been herself last few days, v.wingey.

My bil was round earlier and charlotte screamed for ages before she was ok with him, he lives in glasgow so only gets up to visit once a month, shes been like that a lot lately with people she doesnt know so well, felt really bad for him, he is so excited to see her too

dh and i decided at the weekend that we want to move in next year or so. Live in flat at the moment and want a house, brought up the question of what area to move to for schools, etc. we have come to the decision that we are going to move out of the city as we will get more house for our money, schools should be better, etc. Buying in scottish system is crazy though, flats around here are going for £20,000 plus over the asking price so hoping its calmed down by then but doubt it. crazy but exciting time ahead

Feeling better today after a day of wallowing, and bottle of wine and a good nights sleep LOL

Have sent an e-mail to the cheif excutive of the hospital, I was at a meeting called by him the other week so know some inside information that might help us. Also threatened to go to the press. I've decided to be a right pain in the arse until they pay for Logan's boots just to get rid of me.

I've also contacted another hospital that supply the brace Logan needs to all their talipes babies ref transfering his care.

I'm off to make a blackberry and apple pie just have the urge and many blackberries at the bottom of the garden.

Hi all - not been around for a bit, hope all is going well Haven't been keeping up with the thread

Dom had his birthday last Tuesday, little party with a couple of his mates (well my best mates and their babies) as well as adoring grandparents. My baby is so big now! He's cruising, climbing, walking with a trolley or holding my hands. I'm back at work 2 days a week and loving it, but missing the boy . It's lovely to pick him up from the childminders, he drops whatever he's playing with and comes charging over to me . He doesn't bf during the day now, doesn't seem bothered, but has morning and bedtime feeds (and sometimes at night as well, humph) which are lovely and snuggly, sometimes he chuckles. He even sleeps through about once a week and eats LOTS of food, complete gut bucket now he's got the hang of it.

kayzed-Em had a full week of being dry then the last 2 nights she has wet the bed. Wees in her potty as well though. Luckily she doesn't wake us up to say she is wet, she just takes her PJ bottoms off and sleeps without anything on.

Went to Rushmoor Farm this afternoon and in the cafe the chair I was sitting on collapsed and I fell on my bottom. Had to fill an accident form in but the manageress looked at me and said that it wasn't my weight that caused it. So if I had been at my largest would it have been my fault then? She came back after 10 mins with the chair rescrewed and told me it was as good as new!
