In honour of Sophie's impending birthday this week, I thought I would start a new thread....

So no one's owning up to the immaculate conception then? She said her DC was 1 but maybe s/he's not exactly 12 months, so not necessarily one of us. Shame.

Well done to Roshi and Junior! Very impressed. T's crawling at lightening speeds now, cruising happily around the furniture and even letting go for a nanosecond but he's nowhere near steady enough on his feet to walk. He's got two big bruises on his head from toppling over twice on the same day... we have hard floors... and get through lots of arnica granules...

Pretty - what a horrible situation with your sister. So .

Impy/Annie - so when are we starting all this activity then? I have vowed to DH that I will sign up to some sporty thing in September. Swimming? Yoga? Jazz dance?! What do you reckon? Maybe we should be motivating/checking up on each other

SIL's wedding tomorrow. Girls are bridesmaids, so v excited. It's going to be a looooong day - reception ends at 3am and we have to drive 130km to the "return of the wedding" lunch the next day

We decided to have Eilidh's birthday on Tuesday as dh was off that day.kept it so low key that you probably wouldn't have known it was her big day Just felt that with Niamh's b'day being next Tuesday it was a PITA having to organise 2 parties.My mum is away on hols still and she's the only one who comes normally so what's the point.

DH's parents did turn up yesterday tho,it's the 1st time ever that they have come on an actual birthday and not 2 -3 days early or late.Gave Niamh her card and the £10(so she can choose her own present)so they don't have to bother coming back next week.Fecking arseholes!!!They are so not worth it tho.

Gonna have BBQ or buffet style thing for Niamhs next week anyway and Eilidh will like that lol.

Put on half a pound this week which is pretty good considering i ended up having take away twice this weekbut hey i feel pretty good right now so wasn't really bothered!!

I can't believe he's 1! I stayed up untill 01.13 this morning the time he was born. I was looking at his newborn photos a being all sentimental I do feel a bit sad, dh has had the snip so deffinately no more babies. I am broady though!

we're going to a fireworks championships on saturday night so we'll have a little party for Logan then. He was 4 days old when we went to it last year and slept all the way through very loud fireworks displays!!

I'm taking my new swimsuit (yes I did get one finally) and I'm going swimming! I'll probably conk after two lengths, but it's a start.

Kayley is walking distances now! She can get across the room on her own now, absolute delight on her face as she aims for me... So funny. Joey thinks it's hilarious for some reason too!!

Had a lovely picnic this afternoon with my friend's and DC. Feel lifted after the ill weekend. PIL have both got it now.

the immaculate conception is not me either - no luck on that front....and believe me it wouldn't be immaculate

jacob is being a bit up and down with food too - just last couple of days. he refused the lamb and veg i had lovingly prepared and instead wolfed down pureed fruit and then yoghurt! he is liking baguette from a great french boulangerie just down the road, so that's something.

managed to keep him in his cot last night - he woke at 230, and went back to sleep for about 10 mins, then woke again, but back to sleep in his cot after about another 30 mins. man was i tired when he then woke up at 545 this morning!

So sorry about the situation with your sister, Pretty. That must really hurt. Why they can't be happy for you that you've found a wonderful dp/soon-to-be dh and have two gorgeous kids, I just don't understand. I really feel for you and hope they see things from your point of view soon...I know traditions and customs have their importance to some extent - but they're never worth cutting off family members IMO (my parents were gutted when I told them I was no longer a Catholic but they've come to terms with it)

KZ - I said I had a decent bum - but nothing else! I've got huge old hips and thighs! And yes, Castille, good idea to motivate each other. I did ballet till I was three months pregnant and have been itching to get back to it.... so maybe Sept would be a good month to aim for. It always feels like a new school year/new start for me then, anyway!

Anyway, just a quicky to say hi! Well done to all the walkers. Still just cruising in the Impy casa..... hugs xxxxx

Just realised I haven't updated what my little rogue is up to! He isn't quite walking, but will dive from standing to crawling and take a stumbling step. He is very cute and cheeky, and into everything.

He says heaps of words. Most of them would only b recognisable to me though - a lot of them sound the same, but I know what he means! He is going through a frantic "what's that?" stage - pointing at everything saying "dat?...dat?..der?(there)..dat?"

He is turning so quickly into a little person (and a bit because my baby is growing up)

just wanted to say Happy Birthday everyone! have been busy in RL for a while and was on holiday last few weeks but hope all the wee ones had a great time!

kz- lol at the maternity shopping!! i think i might be needing trousers like them soon, i keep eating junk and no exercise to get rid of the belly that is getting bigger!! think i will have to join in with the rest of you ladies in getting into a healthy hobby!

regarding my family, i really cant be bothered no more, its not worth me getting down about, i have my little family to think about and i have dps family support aswell. dont want my family to make my dc and dp feel that they are different and make them change so that people in the bloody community dont talk!

dps mum and i have managed to get dp to rethink getting us getting married in november. im not prepared enough to be a bride yet! so it will definately be a summer wedding(if its not raing like the last few weeks) so have enough time to get everything done without rushing!

im going to get an early night as junir wakes up at 6 every morning to look out the window! goodnight ladies!!x

first - must have been tough working away, were you away from for long?

impy - glad to hear ryan is improving, a month away from nursery should be good for him but on the bright side he shouldnt be as sick when hes older and at school as his immunity should have built up more. Good you have extra support of your parents just now, my mum was down last week for a couple of days and shes now trying to tell us to do things (in a subtle way) but dh wasnt too happy.

pretty - so sad about your family, glad your not letting it bother you though, theyre the ones missing out. Thats good youve got longer to plan wedding now, not so rushed, especially if youve got places in mind that might have already been booked up in nov

castille - how was the wedding? sounds like it will be very exhausting couple of days. so of you in france, my dream for one day

agalch - what is it with some grandparents, guess youve got used to it by now. do dc even know who they are when they turn up?

kz - roshi's doing so well with her speaking, even though shes behind chi she way ahead charlotte, getting a clear 'ta' but thats about it, just babbling mainly. The odd thing sounds like a word then she doesnt say it again

Everything fine here, charlotte is completely off formula and having cows milk morning and night in place of, trying to not stress she getting enough from all her foods now though.

My friend is picking us up later to go to a park (few miles away in countryside) for the afternoon, really hoping the rain stays away, has been glorious and when we decide to do something like this its overcast, typical.

WELL DONE!! I finally passed mine the day before my 31st birthday 5 years ago.Tis the best thing i have ever done.

Beadmum,my dd1 know they are Granny and Grandad because i go over and over it when i know they might pop in and she recognises them in my wedding pics etc.But neither of them "know" them iykwim? Eilidh cries when she sees them and Niamh just sits on my knee.The ds's stayed upstairs until they left then came down for lunch I know it's their loss and all that but my dc are actually really "nice" to be around and i don't get why they are not interested.

Gotta go and take mindee home,he is finishing lunch,been sat there since 12.15,he is sooooo slow lol.
