In honour of Sophie's impending birthday this week, I thought I would start a new thread....

Thanks for your support girls. I do feel I'm doing the right thing but when you are getting shit from all angles, it makes you question yourself doesn't it?

You have all made me feel so much better. It is true that I seem to be getting the blame for him but as long as he doesn't take it out on R and S I can cope with what he throws at me.

We were never married so he has never had parental responsibilty and I wouldn't give it to him, (not that he has ever attempted to before). I think that's what he is going to try and do now. Hopefully once things (well he) has calmed down a bit we can possibly sort something out but as the kids aren't really interested then I don't really know what else to do.

Enough of that anyway, on a much more positive note. Abbey is walking properly now she looks so funny. Very cute. Also, I have discovered the reason for the bad sleeping. I was playing with her the other day and managed to get a look in her mouth. She has already got her molars on both sides at the top. No wonder she was being grumpy. I was only checking the top front but still no sign of them.

Also, we finally got DS's diagnosis of Aspergers Syndrome yesterday.

Bloss I am so proud of your new found skills in the kitchen. I have been dabbling a bit myself lately. No-one actually likes the results but hey at least I'm trying.

Kbaby-sorry about the house. Just remember everything happens for a reason. (That is currently my favourite mantra.)

Lysettes-hiya. Nice to see you back

KZ-hows R today? So glad Chili likes school.

HC- How are your two today?

Ceebee- Check you out in your new office. DP is in the process of building his new office at the back of the garden. I tell ya what, I can't bloody wait until he moves into it and gets all of his work crap out of the house.

As for Jacob - have you tried getting your dh to go to Jacob's room in the night and give him a drink of milk? We did that and a bit of controlled crying, and Bob's your uncle!

Bead - blimey that Charlotte refuses spoon feeding!!! Ryan is so lazy, he hardly does any finger-fooding except fruit and biscuits... I can imagine going with him on his first date when he's sixteen just to spoon feed his dinner to him.....

Oh Jeanie. You poor thing. You sound like you've been through hell. What a complete arsehle your xp is. (Sorry to speak like that about the father of your precious kids but it's a fact, darling). He doesn't deserve any access. How can he say to the kids "I don't want to see you until you change your name back"?????? You should never* bring kids into discussions like that. I know they have a right to have their biological dad in their lives but I would be tempted to cut him out completely - I'm scared he'd get violent with them too - or don't you think that's possible? The fact that they "hide behind chairs" to avoid seeing him speaks volumes to me..... Anyway, that's just my tuppence worth. Please ignore if you disagree. I really think you have to earn the right to be called a father.... And ignore all the names he's been calling you - it's his insecurities speaking. You are a wonderful mother. (I also think the surname thing is such an unimportant issue. Ryan has dp's surname because my surname is such a PITA to spell - being Irish and unphonetic. I would have preferred him to have my name but for ease of life we went with dps.....)

Shit day here - well some good bits, but has seemd like REALLY HARD WORK today for some reason. Have just done a Pretty Mum and gone seraching in the garage for any kind of wine at all and have just launched a bottle of dubious looking fizz in the freezer....

Feeling a bit weird about my BF at the moment too, well not her, her DP, we had sorted out amongst ourselves that she would clean my house for me this week (paid of course) as my cleaner is away, and he has got the cob on about it and it's all gone a bit Pete TOng. I mean FGS what's the difference between that and my DH working with him on a job and getting paid for it which has happened? I'd clean her house for money if I didn't have two kids to look after, come to that I'd clean my own house if I didn't have two kids to look after (ok no I wouldn't, but YKWIM...) Any way, cross that it has gone a bit awkward, I didn't even ask her, she asked ME!! Men.

Impy, those pics of Ry are just to die for, he is very beautiful.

Toby has had his fingers shut in the door today, and copped a great big bump and bruise on his adorable fat little head. Poor little mite. They are so clumsy though aren't they, you'd have to pad every single thing in your house to stop it happening.

Work want my lap top back (to shred it - how annoying ) so have to buy a new one and an external hard drive to back up all my data and photos. What a shag.

Lysettes when i say oatcakes, I mean cakey type biscuity things that happen to contain porridge oats....they are yumble whatever the hell they are, got the recipe from Good Food magazine (GET ME!! Have to come clean and say that DH bought it) Piece of piss to make, even I could do it with H "helping"...

Think BF is still coming to sort my house out tomorrow thank god. I would text her to discuss further, only her DP reads all her texts! Can you imagine! I'd be bloody livid. EXTEMELY tempted to text her saying "DP get some mates you sad git".

Feeling grot myself today but at least I'm not sick with it. Had to cancel my Thurs pm jaunt and my night out with a friend back from Stafford to see her mum.

kayzed-Sophie has an outbreak of spots every few weeks then they shrivel and die then another lot appears. Doesn't affect her luckily. Wonder what Roshi's spots could be? Hope you perk up soon, is your house move getting to you a tad do you think. Tis a massive thing isn't it? Snails, sods keep attacking my runner beans so get the pellet treatment. They also like living in the spout of my watering can which stops the water coming out.

kbaby-hope you get some answers. Sorry about the news on the house.

Bloss-lol big time at the old trout. Bet you nearly fainted at the thought of doing some housework I would kill DH if he read my texts. He once confessed to reading my diary when we first met, very nearly split up over it. Glad he didn't get to the bits about his mother!

jacob has taking to screeching with laughter when i say no...

actually managed to leave him on his own iykwim to play for about 5 mins today, being out of the room (but watching him). still won't be left in his cot for any time at all though.

anyone watch Studio 60 on the sunset strip last night? it's on More4 and is by the same guy that wrote west wing, and incidentally has the yummy Josh from WW in it (if you like slightly stressed a bit haggard looking guys )

right now he he is trying to stuff a block down his mouth and pushing a chair across the room with dd trying to stop him!! went and had nandos for lunch and did a bit of shopping, think i'll do a lazy diner for dc tonight, nuggets and chips!!

Kbaby that cake looks amazing....are you really going to make that? I'd have to call an ambulance for all the people that passed out if they saw I'd made something like that.....are you going to buy ready made icing and cut it or summink?
