gor blimey it is quiet isn't it!

Good luck with the Product kayzed, it's such a holy grail experience isn't it, finding the right one...

i had a haircut today too, first baby-free haircut in a year as DP had Emma. Bit short but may be better once washed and styled according to my usual methods...

Hi Wallace - good luck with getting back online

Welcome back HC - happy birthday tomorrow to Emma! She's a Leo isn't she then, I guess that may explain some of the Attitude (I'm one too, but a very quiet one )

Kbaby - how are you? Have you had your doc's appt yet?

Twinkle - well done on the interview, bummer about the clash can you reschedule?

Fingers crossed for some sunshine (yeah right!) xxx

Twinklemegan · 21/07/2007 22:50

Hi F@F - already rescheduled. The secretary was really helpful which surprised me.

I can't believe how busy I'm going to be the next couple of weeks - you may or may not hear much from me depending how it's going.

It's manic at work at the moment and I have to prepare a presentation for the interview as well as swot up like crazy.
Then get this: we're going down south for Aidan's 1st birthday. Down on Thursday, back on Sunday. On Monday we then have to get up to Inverness for interview on Tuesday. We're staying three or four nights so if I happen to be offered the job, we can do some reckying, otherwise we'll just enjoy Scotland. Back on Thursday or Friday, in time to prepare for Aidan's christening on Sunday. Phew! Talk about everything coming at once!

Happy Birthday to Kavya for tomorrow! Glad you added Leo in Wallace - I was sure there was another baby before Aidan. Hope you get sorted soon.

Twinklemegan · 21/07/2007 22:52

HC - sorry you got washed out!

KZ - hope Roshi's better soon.

HumphreysCorner · 21/07/2007 23:06

Trying to catch up slowly ladies. Em's party was today and it stopped raining long enough to BBQ. Her B'Day is the 19th so she is a Cancer the same as Sophie. Heard Em telling DH that she had had a nioe day and even mummy had enjoyed it.

agalch-what a brill mum you are. I so hope I will be like that when my girls are older.

Talk of a 3rd child eh Bloss????? Get taking your Folic Acid just in case like I do. Am currently reading How to Choose the Sex of your Baby the Natural Way. Very scientific!

Happy B'Day to Kavya for tomorrow.

Twinkle-hectic time ahead for you then-hope all goes well.

kbaby-when will you get the HCG results? Lovely pics by the way.

You too Ceebee-Josh is lovely.

And as for Queen Roshi-well, we are not worthy. So regal

Am shattered now-got to clean the caravan tomorrow before we return it to the PIL. Love to all.

agalch · 22/07/2007 00:05

Evening all.just a quick post.Back from Bryan adams, oooooh he was soooo good!!!

Got rather wet but was so worth it lol.

Off to bed xx

TheGoddessBlossom · 22/07/2007 06:41

another early start here, but not hungover so not too bad. Wish Toby would stop SHOUTNG though. One of the annoying things about getting up this early is that you eat brekkie at aparrows (well I do) and then are starving for lunch at 11 so it throws all your meals out of kilter, or failing that you just eat all day!

Had a very nice evening at our friend's house for dinner last night, so nice to go to someone else's house for a change. They are the couple who lost their first baby, but have since had a lovely little girl. Dh was a bit aghast that she served Shepherds Pie, as he is a total food snob, but I thought it was delish, and stuffed myself silly.

BBQ today, I love the way everyone is insisting on having BBQs as if the weather is completely irrelevant, DH's brother is hosting, so again, we get to go and make a mess of someone elses' house! DH very hungover, talked total scribble all the way home, so as far as I am concerned he can stay exactly where he is (in bed) till he emerges a nice person, his hangovers are scary things.......

OOOOh you are going to be busy Twinkle. If they are going to offer you the job will you find out straight away then? How exciting for you. Good luck ad infinitum.

A fringe you say KZ - I bet it looks nice, very grown up. My frizz would never allow it..LOL at Greek salon, funny that they really do exist like that!

HC - DH has swung the other way on the 3rd child issue (AGAIN!! and I think I've talked myself out of it again anyway. That's the problem with over-analysis though isn't it.....should follow the Nike tag line on these things and Just Do It....

Have great days all.

Ceebee74 · 22/07/2007 09:46

Thanks McDreamy!

Twinkle - tons and tons of luck for you interview - just remember, always give examples to back up what you are saying (that is my major tip for interviews - I spend a good proportion of my job interviewing and that is the one thing that lets people down). BTW, if you want any samplel interview questions for practice, let me know as I have a document with loads on covering all 'personal quality' areas (such as communication, decision-making etc) - can e-mail it to you.

HC - welcome back. Sorry the caravanning wasn't that great but nice to be back home eh? (Belated Happy Birthday to Em x)

KZ - the greek salon sounds SO nice and friendly. Enjoy the shopping - how lovely for you to have some 'ME' time.

Bloss - lol at your frizz not allowing you a fringe - I always have a fringe because it is the only bit of my hair that doesn't frizz

The cutest thing happeend today - went in to see if Josh was awake at 7am this morning and he was not quite awake. He stirred, opened his eyes, turned his head to face me and then said 'mamama' in the most relaxed happiest (but sleepy) way - it is the first time he has said it directly to me. Nearly bought tears to my eyes.

Anyway, hope you all have a good day today and the sun keeps shining.

Happy Birthday to Kavya

Am off to the gym x

Lol at your thinking on Agalch's second paragraph - you have a very DIRTY mind

OP posts:
agalch · 22/07/2007 09:56

ROFL KZ hmmm never actually said anything about rain now did i?? Seriously he looks really hot,i wouldn't climb over him to get to DH iykwim lol

Got a dad coming with his little boy to do contracts etc for when his son starts school in August,he was meant to come yesterday morning at 9.30am and never showed.Eventually came at around 1.30pm and said he'd had to wait in on a new fridge arriving.Told him i was busy now and going out,and asked him to come today at 10am so we'll see if he turns up.If i didn't need to fill the space quickly because i need the money i would have told him to piss off tbh.He could have phoned at the very least i think.

Better go in case he decides to turn up xx

Happy Birthday Kavya xxxx

kbaby · 22/07/2007 10:12

Bloss- I am thinking of making a cake for DS. Surely a number 1 shape can?t be too hard, not too sure on the icing or decorating it though. I have never actually iced anything before.

Kayzed- Not sure if you?re already doing this but it?s a good tip for changing sheets at night. When you make the bed put on, waterproof, sheet, waterproof and another sheet. It means that in the middle of the night all you need to do is take off the first layer of sheet and waterproof and you don?t have to remake the bed. Enjoy your shopping day.

Firstatforty- I had the gp appt over a week ago and he sent me for a HCG blood test but I am still nervously waiting for the results. They should?ve been back last Thursday. I am convinced I can feel kicking. Im hoping it?s a phantom pregnancy or really bad wind

Were currently waiting for DH to get back from the gym so that we can go swimming. Don?t know whats up with DS this week. Hes waking in the night crying. Milk or water isn?t doing anything and he just wants cuddles. 2 hrs we were up with him last night en calpol isn?t making a difference. Slept all night at my mums on Friday though so I think he may be trying it on a bit with us. It?s so hard to tell if they are feeling unwell.

Beadmum · 22/07/2007 11:11

Happy birthday kavya

Happy belated birthday junior

kbaby - hope you get your results soon and the outcome is what you want (((hugs)))

agalch - hope youre not left waiting that that guy again today, bryan adams sounded fab

ceebee - josh sounded so cute, no wonder you were nearly in tears

kz - yep, def a dirty mind lol, hope you got the puffball under control. salon sounds great, will have to get charlotte to salon soon as her hair is getting out of control. Have a lovely day, hope the rain isnt as bad down there for your shopping trip

bloss - glad you had a lovely night, enjoy your bbq today

hc - happy birthday to em for yesterday

twinkle -good luck with your job interview, youve certainly got a lot on your plate at the moment, sounds like very hectic time ahead

my friend is taking charlotte for a couple of hours today and dh and i are going for lunch, looking forward to a nice relaxing lunch for a change hate how so many people are intolerent of children these days, makes going to some cafes/restaurants very stressful.

hope the weather is ok where you all are, have a good day everyone xx

agalch · 22/07/2007 14:57

OP posts:
HumphreysCorner · 22/07/2007 22:17

Meant to say, Sophie has 4 teeth coming through-all at the same time

xxx

agalch · 23/07/2007 09:25

Morning all!!

Nice and sunny here atm.May not last i imagine lol.

Well Eilidh has 2 teeth for sure this morning. That explains why she has been chomping on my boob (ouch!!)so much in the last few days.

Can't think of what to get Eilidh for her birthday at all.We have a houseful of stuff that is hers and also all Niamh's toys. Any suggestions anyone???

Was so naughty on Saturday.Went to a fab chinese buffet on Sat before we saw Bryan Adams and really pigged out.Last night went to the gym and hardly did anything and then ds1's gf and her parents were over for a coffee and ended up on the voddy
They want to take ds1 on holiday to Lanzarote with them next August.Don't have any objections but worried if they are not together it's a lot of money for them to spend on flights etc,

Better go play with my dd's,they look like they are about to fight over toys.

Have a good day xx

kbaby · 23/07/2007 11:19

Ds is still in bed after going down at 9.30. Dont know quite what to do with the time so ive wasted it by searching for 1st birthday plates online and then deciding after 1 hr that ill just buy some in town and save the postage.

Not sure what we will do this afternoon. We went swimming yesterday but he hated it as the water in the pool was very cold. Surely there must be a standard temp they have to keep the water at, even DD had blue lips.

Ceebee74 · 23/07/2007 11:26

Kbaby - not sure of regulations in swimming pools but the pool at our gym where I take Josh is always quite cold - am thinking of investing in one of those bodysuits for him.

Big news from here - Josh took 2 steps unaided yesterday. He was leaning on DH's knee and then suddenly swung round and stumbled 2 steps to hold on to my knees - they were very quick and stumbly but steps none the less! I still think he is a long way from walking though - seems to lack confidence in standing by himself.
