Can I just scream a minute please? Arghhhhhhhhhhh. I must have the messiest eater out there. He eats off a spoon but then spits it out before eating it again, whilst doing this he complains about having any type of bib on so also attempts to pull that off and if I give him any finger food he just picks it up and repeatedly throughs it on the floor. Its worse than feeding time at the zoo. I am fed up of having sandwiches etc thrown.
Moan finished.

Happy Birthday Junior

Im sure youll decide whats best for you Bloss. Personally after having 2 colic unputabledown screaming babies my nerves could not cope with a 3rd there were black days when I thought 2 was a huge mistake. But you had dreamy babies. I always wanted 3 .

Ok off now as Ds is hanging about my leg and not only is it like a zoo at our house but he now smells like one.

TheGoddessBlossom · 19/07/2007 18:37

KBaby, sympathies. Toby is pretty messy too but at least will keep a bib on, I have to double bib him, cloth one under a scoop type one. You too are right - I did have very dreamy babies, no colic, no reflux, good sleepers (if early risers), good eaters, and both very healthy boys (touch wood). I bet if I did go for it I'd get a ginger (I am basically ginger ) freckled (I am very freckly) , sickly (I was a sickly child) female SCREAMER and DH would never speak to me again!

GF expecting number 3 found out this morning she is having a girl after two boys, she is delighted, bless her.

TheGoddessBlossom · 19/07/2007 18:38

have had a really nice afternoon with the boys, culminating in H and I making them eggy bread for their tea. The Goddess adds cordon bleurgghhh skills to her repetoire

TheGoddessBlossom · 19/07/2007 20:26

do you know I'm really tempted to try my hand at making one.........is this a step too far for my fledgling baking skills?? I mean, I'm a housewife now, to all intents and purposes, when else in my life am I go to have the time to do this stuff?

FirstAtForty · 19/07/2007 21:04

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUNIOR!!!

AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY TO KAYLEY, AMELIA AND ABBEY!!!

Go for it on the baking front Bloss, like you say when will you have the chance again - and it means you get to eat CAKE - so why not?! Bake cookies while you're at it!

Hi to everyone, will catch up tomorrow xxx

PavlovtheCat · 19/07/2007 21:08

Happy birthday to all of the wonderful little darlings who I have missed, and to those whose birthday is due!

Hope all the babies are well and having a great time.

I am back to work now, so struggling to juggle baby, work, wedding, DP, me and MN! DP is out, so I on instead of cooking my tea! !

prettymum · 19/07/2007 22:18

evening ladies

had a quiet bday here, my two bfs and dps cousin came round and we just sat around! junior had no clue what was happeing!!

my bfs younger sister is due in 2 weeks, shes 18 and really really petite. she had a very bad scare. they went for scan today as doctors saying baby is too big for her to push out. at the scan midwife couldnt hear heart beat properly and aparantly not enough water!! bfs sister got so scare but once in hospital they managed to hear heart beat properly. theyre keeping her in to make sure everythings ok. just hope everythings ok, she is sooo tiny!! cannot imagine her with a huge bump!!

i am also trying to decide if id like a 3rd child but i dont know if i want to do all over again! i had very good pregnancies and not too bad labours, maybe in couple of years- do wants too more! but i know i'll be doing most of the work!

im going to get an early night toight as junior loves to wake up at 6am every morning now!

by the way any harry potter fans, asda selling new book £5 delivered- deadline midnight tonight!!

Twinklemegan · 19/07/2007 23:18

Gawd - Aidan's next but one on the list. How did that happen?!

I've got an interview for that job I applied for (way hay!!). KZ - would you believe it's the same day as my consultant's appointment?! In Inverness. Sod's law huh!

cor it's POURING here. Could be worse - I could be in a caravan... Whoops, that's where HC is, hope it's not raining where you are HC....

Toby woke up at 5.25am, very quietly, murmured quietly till 6am, then had his bottle, came into our bed at 6.20am. This I can cope with. H didn't wake up till 6.50am!!!! THIS IS A MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH!! Or a one off. Either way, we have had a very civilised start to the day, coming down stairs at 7am like NORMAL PEOPLE DO HURRAY!!

Woner if I can get them to repeat this on Sunday morning - we are off out to dinner at some friends in Woking which is a bit of schleppe (I am driving) so it's going to be alate one, at least I won't have a hangover.

have great Fridays all, going to make a cake this morning as practice...

xx

madness · 20/07/2007 09:14

well, I promised to make some fairy cakes today with ds and dd1....

I bought 4 cakes, 2 for nursery, 1 for us and 1 for my work. DH thought I had gone mad when he saw the 4 cakes....

agalch · 20/07/2007 09:28

Morning all

Raining here too.My parents and my db his gf and their 6 children(his, hers and theirs)are off to Scarborough to caravans tomorrow for 2 weeks.Soooo glad it's not me lol!!

Was at slimming class last night and lost a pound.Lost 2lbs last week so only 12 to go. Feel like i'm never gonna get to target.

Think i will be soaked tomorrow at my concert.Don't reckon it's going to dry up,bugger!!

Eilidh still no teeth either.Who else's lo has no teeth? Or is she the only one. I'm not really bothered mind you with still bfing her. Hate the grating feeling when the teeth do come in yeeuch.

Bloss,i dithered over having a 3rd for far too long tbh. I wanted a 3rd from around the time ds2 was 3 or 4 and was too wussy to take the plunge. I love the family i have but sometimes wish i'd had the dd's sooner rather than later iyswim? If you feel that you really want another i wouldn't wait as long as i have, you may put it off and end up with a huge gap.I hoped the feelings would go away and they never did hence the terror toddler and troublesome teen lol.

Does anyone know where Koshka is? Have wondered for ages about her and was hoping she's ok.

Got my 2 today and my mindee plus 1 extra mindee that i am doing on an ad-hoc basis so it's quiet while thay are having snack but better go and orgainse something to do.God i hate when it's raining. No chance of chucking them in the garden

AnnieOleHouseElf · 20/07/2007 12:11

Morning Girls!

Absolutely chucking it down here too, thunder, lightning, the works.

A girl here is leaving, so finish early and pub! (ok, I always finish early but I rarely go to the pub!) (Ok I often go to the pub, but rarely with the work crowd!!)

Booked Joey into nursery for Sept! Can't believe my baby boy is big enough for nursery!!! He'll be 2.5 then. I almost shed a tear when DH told me he'd signed him up. It's only for 1 morning a week though!! And I'll be at work anyway...

So glad to see the back of the IL's yesterday. They were doing my head in. FIL especially, telling me whatever the babies were doing, even though I have eyes and ears of my own. And 'oh MIL thinks Joey's coming up to the terrible twos' and then proceeded to explain how all babies go through it.
'YEAH I KNOW'...

I think I want a third...

Can't though. Drugs man. And need sleep...
Anyway the two I have are gorgeous enough.

Pretty, hope your BF's sis will be ok. Maybe a c-section? Good luck to her.

Must go, lunch!!

Annie

AnnieOleHouseElf · 20/07/2007 14:20

Afternoon.

A gorgeous sunny afternoon. Wtf with this weather???

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/07/2007 19:40

it's crazy. Looked like Armageddon this morning, then the kids played in a friends garden all afternoon.

Blueberry muffins this morning, tuna burgers this afternoon. DH thinks I've been taken over by aliens...

TheGoddessBlossom · 20/07/2007 20:01

Just spotted Oldie Mum on a pregnancy thread, looks like she is expecting again!

FirstAtForty · 20/07/2007 21:53

Think we narrowly missed the worst of the weather - just been a bit miserable all day.

Go Bloss with the muffins Can we all come round and sample your DG creations?

And Go Oldiemum too - gives me hope (though I'm still in two minds... )

Ceebee that was a gorgeous pic of Josh, he's such a sweetheart.

Annie - yay to the back of the inlaws

Fingers crossed for good concert weather Agalch. You never know, it may be fine, it's just so weirdly (and annoyingly) changeable.

Kayzed - Emma's a real banana fan too, we have to hide them from her until she actually gets a chunk in her hand otherwise she completely freaks out at having them 'withheld' from her.

She pulled herself up to standing in her cot today, yay! She got a round of applause from mummy and daddy and looked very pleased with herself.

Have good nights all xx

I'm back-will post a pic of the flooded awning later Took 8.5 hours to get back due to extreme flooding in Oxford. Had 2 hot days though-phew! Have eaten far too much so will step on the scales in a mo.

Got Em's 4th B'Day party tomorrow so will try and catch up on Sunday.

Emma has been the worst ever on this holiday, had to walk away for an hour on the first day.

Love to all

xxx
