In honour of Sophie's impending birthday this week, I thought I would start a new thread....

Yes KZ, the GP is arranging it. Although I feel a whole lot better after spending a long time on here discussing it with Mears the other night. I feel like I can face the consultant like a grown woman now and find out what happened medically speaking without being an emotional wreck.

Evening girls

Thanks Bloss and KZ for your help on the other thread.Feel okish now.he could be a lazy junkie layabout out screwing anything that moves but he's not.And for that i am grateful!!

Could someone please add Eilidh onto the birthday list for me? I am officially hopeless. She's the 1st of August. Thanks!!

Well Eilidh still has no teeth. She crawls at at the speed of light, never stops blethering and yakking(bit like me lol)and is still a happy sunny girl. She can however have a strop if Niamh takes a toy back or she doesn't have the same treats as everyone else.Still co-sleeping and bfing but not so knackered as i usually manage to get to bed a bit earlier.

better go think dd1 is awake xx

Twinklemegan · 15/07/2007 22:36

Would like to take DH, but we have no babysitter in this area and I don't think DS would be too helpful lol. I haven't really got a close enough friend living nearby either who I don't mind hearing all the gory details. I'll be fine by myself I'm sure. I don't expect any sympathy from the consultant - it's more to go through the facts of what happened medically (hopefully get her to admit that DS was back to back and therefore very painful) and get it straight in my head.

Yes, I was examined before my waters broke (I think - this is why I need to go) and DS was still ROA. I reckon he went back to back when they broke, with a huuuge contraction, shortly afterwards. But they wouldn't check me again (for position or dilation) for hours, whilst refusing me any pain relief or the pool. Bs!

I am so so sorry Emma and Zack - Happy Birthday as well for tomorrow!

Leftovers anyone ???? Plenty to go around, even got CAKE left !!!!
Had DD's party today, pretty much rained off, but luckily we've got a big enough house now to have everyone inside. Must have been about 25 here !!! DD was an absolute angel all day, she even missed her morning nap as we were getting organised etc, and she had her afternoon nap on MIL's lap ! No nasty comments from my Grandma today, oh actually she did say that she wanted my Dad to take a photo instead of me as I took rubbish photos (last time I give her any copies of photos of DD ) !! That is really tame for her though !
Should go to bed now as lots more tidying to do in the morning. Far too many "noisy" toys bought for DD today, so looks like I'll have to put headache tablets on the regular shopping list .

Off for a birthday weigh in at clinic in the morning, any bets ???? (DD was 16lb 10oz 3 weeks ago ......) I reckon she'll be 17lb 8oz.... slice of teletubbies birthday cake for the winner !!! (P.S. Cake was from Need-a-cake and was completely yummy, chocolate sponge, excellent delivery very fast - ordered Monday, delivered Friday, rather expensive at £56, but priceless as I could never have managed it ! IT was really big as well by the way, approx 20inches by 14 inches).... ooh might have to have another slice with a brew before bed

Night night girls xxx

p.s. Happy Birthday to those I missed yesterday and a happy birthday to the 3 for tomorrow !!

Ceebee74 · 16/07/2007 08:30

Happy Birthday to Emma, Ella and Zack - hope you all have a fantastic day.

Sohappy - at £56 for a cake - I thought £25 that I spent on Josh's was expensive

Twinkle - hope you get 'closure' (as they say in America'. Josh was back to back throughout the 24 hours I was in labour and it was horrendous (as KZ said). They were so intense and pretty much coming every couple of minutes from the beginning so I never got any recovery time - it was bloody awful tbh. It is the thought of that which has put me off having a VBAC next time - although I know in my head that 'normal' contractions are not as bad as that.

KZ - Roshi is so cute - and I love that photo with Chili (who is also gorgeous btw) - it is such a good illustration of how they have grown!

Anyway, enjoy the sunshine ladies. Also taking Josh for a birthday weigh in today.

KZ they are such beautiful photos. Gorgeous kids you've got.

AnnieOleHouseElf · 16/07/2007 11:13

Morning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY EMMA, ELLA, AND ZACK!!! Tell your mummies not to drink too much or they'll have bad heads like Kayley's mama this morning...

Belated Happy Birthdays to Jacob and Josh

Beautiful photos of Roshi, KZ, I love the two of Chili holding her, a year apart!! Fantastic. The look on his face is priceless, doting and proud in the first, and 'oh my god, she's squashing me!' in the second

Bloss, as ever, you and your boys look fab!! Love the windswept look

Twinkle to you, hope everything sorts itself out.

SoHappy, would love some cake it sounds special!!
We also have lots of leftovers. We had a lovely barbeque, punctuated by two thunderstorms!!! We had eight guests and two babies, so, though our flat isn't very big, we squeezed everyone in during the rain!
Kayley got some lovely gifts, including a tent/tunnel thingy, which even DH and I had a go in...
So the in laws are coming tonight, and the leftovers will be eaten by Wednesday!! We have a few people coming on Wednesday too, (that's WEDNESDAY Jom!) for her real birthday.
She stood alone for six seconds yesterday.

Can't think of any other stories at the moment, need more paracetamol now.

Have a good holiday HC!!!

Must go to 'work'...

Annie

AnnieOleHouseElf · 16/07/2007 15:17

Hee hee, First!! Enjoy!!!

Ceebee74 · 16/07/2007 20:27

Have had a day from hell here today - Josh is teething in a MAJOR way and literally has done nothing but dribble (by the gallon) and cry all day (with the occasional sleep - but will only settle on our bed which means I have had to stay with him). Feel so sorry for him as he keeps pleading with me with his eyes to stop the pain and I feel so useless cos I can't

Have given him some Medised tonight in the hope that he (and us) can get a decent nights sleep and maybe he will feel better in the morning.

KZ - I had forgotten to check that other thread but seeing all those people will give me motivation (hopefully!)

Hope the birthday boy and girls are living it up tonight

Well, nobody here guessed the right weight for titch, and you lot didn't bother guessing !! Where are you all ?? Surely not on holiday in weather like this (although typically today was a vast improvement). At her birthday weigh in she was 17lb 9ozs !! I was only 1lb out but DH was 6lb out ! .

Had a nightmare trying to get her off to sleep tonight. Can only presume she must also be cutting another tooth. She's had an 8oz bottle at 9pm, then wouldn't settle at all, so I gave her some Calpol in the hope it might calm her (read into that knock her out !), that didn't work, so tried some Calgel on her gums (cue much fighting to get her to open her mouth and attempt to put gel on gums not tongue). That also didn't work, so have just given her another 4ozs of milk !! At this rate, we'll be catching you up Roshi . She's only just gone down in the last 15 mins or so, so fingers crossed she stays down.

Right, better go tidy the kitchen before DH comes home and nags me in the morning.
