oh bless HC, we should re-name oursleves the disaster caravanners. Poor Zack, US, sorry he is poorly, how sweet that he smiled when you walked back in your own home, they do love being at home so much don't they, my two do....I suppose that's a compliment to us for making it such a nice place for them!

have a great time HC.

Will catch up on everyones posts today.

Could someone add me to the birthday lists plz? I am sooo useless. Eilidh's is 1st of August and i was 36 on the 10th of April. Than you!!!

I have a thread in Teens entitled "Underage teens and sex" so guess what ds1 has been up to??

Better get girls ready.Hope you are all good and the birthdays have gone well.xx

Kayzed- DH uses the ?if your horrible to him well have to give him away to a sister who is nice to her brother? normally that stops her being horrible for all of 20 mins. I dread the time when he can fight back. Itll be twice as bad.

I have a gp appointment tomorrow for a HCG blood test. Gp thinks even though ive had a period I could still be pregnant. Ive been spotting over the last 5 days which is what I did when pregnant plus other symptoms. I really hope its just a phantom pregnancy and all in my head.

I have a salycilate intollerence after both pregnancies. Always starts 4 months after birth and on DD lasted until she was 11 months but so far with DS looks like not ending. It means that after eating certain foods I have a wheezy coughing attack and have to use an inhaler. I can never link what foods do it though as one day tomatoes will set it off and another day they won?t.

Twinkle- Now listen to me, you are not a crap mother, accidents happen and you did all the right things. You are a wonderful and caring mother.

I am peed off at having a wardrobe full of shorts and t shirts and ds cant wear any of them as its bloody raining all the time.

Bloss- DH bought me Cocktail for xmas but it wasn?t like I remembered it. Enjoy Lost boys, I love the song from it, People are strange or something?

First- not only do you need loads of balls but you will also have to spend every 2 mins picking them up and putting them back in(have fun)

Us- sorry youre home early, hope he gets better soon.

Algach- I cant believe he would?ve done that as you really trusted him. Just goes to show that teenagers will be teeanagers

Dh still wants to move. I am gutted. We speant ages doing up this house as it was terrible when we moved in and now its nice he wants to move. He doesnt even like DIY and I dont know how much decorating hes going to do between the hrs of 8.30 pm and 11pm. We viewed it again yesterday with my dad in tow and theyve offered part exchange so my plan of hopefully not be able to sell ours is out of the window. DH is being very cunning though and pops the odd comment like' you would be able to have a dressing room or you always wanted a unsuite' true I do but not if I cant afford the clothes to go in it and have to spend a million years doing the house up first.

Evening all

Us - sorry you have had to come home early Hope DS improves soon.

Agalch - for you and your DS too - read your other thread and it sounds like you are doing an excellent job in very difficult circumstances and you should be proud that he feels that he can tell you these things.

Twinkle - glad Aidan is ok - accidents do happen and it does not make you a bad mother! Josh did the same thing yesterday although it was MIL's fault - silly bat is so useless at 'baby-proofing' her house so yesterday when we went round, she had left a small thimble and a 1cm piece of broken crockery (with sharp edges fgs) on a low table. She had just given me a brew when I noticed Josh put something in his mouth so I rushed straight over and without thinking, put my cup on the table while I emptied Josh's mouth and what did he do straight away - pull the cup over! So it does happen! (BTW, last time we were at MIL's Josh found a throat lozenge on the floor and put it in his mouth - I cannot believe that woman!!)

Thanks for all the birthday wishes - have had a (mostly) fab weekend. Josh got loads of presents - unfortunately all the clothes he got were 12-18 months and he is not even out of 6-9 month yet which is a shame as they are all summer clothes (yeah, like he is wearing his summer clothes atm )

Party was good upto about 2 hours ago - Josh got hysterical and wouldn't stop screaming. Eventually he was sick a couple of times so don't know if he was screaming cos he had tummy ache or he was sick cos he was screaming so much iyswim. Anyway, that was one way to clear the house of guests - had to chuck them all out in the head as he would not calm down. Gave him some calpol and he is now asleep. So not the best end to the weekend's festivities but never mind! (KZ - food was ok, made some seperate sandwiches for my friends DS without margarine and he had some little sausages - only problem is that he and Josh kept sharing each others food so I am sure he must have eaten some dairy products)

Hope you all had good weekends . No idea where Lysette is - she promised she would be back for our 'twinnies' birthday.

Hi everyone

Camping was great during the day (Ryan loved the fab new tent, v sunny, it's a beautiful area etc etc) but the night was heinous! V cold (weird how it can be 36ºC in Madrid and feel like -36º at night in the mountains 2 hours away from the city....) and Ryan wouldn't go to sleep on his own - so ended up bringing him in with us and letting him take up the whole air bed while we hung on to the edges.... It was a trial run for our 2-week camping trip in August... doesn't bode well! Thanks for all the good wishes, anyway! HC it's up to you to break the Disaster Camping/Caravanning R Us curse....

You're a wonderful mum Twinkle. These things happen - I'm expecting something similar to happen any day now to Ryan - he's reaching higher and further all the time... it's terrifying. You can only have so many eyes-in-the-back-of-your-head and octupus arms.

Hope Zack's better soon, Us.

Fab pix Kbaby - what a dude! Hope the tests go ok... thinking of you.

{{{hugs}}}} to you Algach. Sorry you're going through a tough time.

Hi to everyone else. Hugs, Impy x

p.s. can't make the meet-up for geographical reasons

Kitten was 30 on Thursday, no longer a kitten! Seriously, on other threads, no-one knew who I was! It became confusing so I changed back. I will of course be Kitten again from time to time...!

Yesterday - cheese and wine party. Those friends without children did not get the idea that I am less able to stay up like I used to. Finally kicked everyone out at 3am! DP went to bed at midnight . Bella was amazing, she slept through all the noise (about 15 people turned up in the end , We put her in the travel cot in our room as her room is next to the front room, so she was further from the noise. Then, I got to bed at 3:15am and fell off the edge of the bed, into the travel cot and shared the sh*t out of her...! Typical eh? Not a peep all night, then I wake her pissed! I felt like such an awful mummy!

This morning, hangover from hell, had to go meet friend from old work office for fish and chips, then to a BBQ (well after event as could not eat any more!), I ate very little, and for tea we had more cheese and crackers and french bread!

I am never drinking like that again. Ever. Honestly, never .

Oh Bella said 'Mama' yesterday. Not baby babble, not sounds, actual words - twice. I cried. She has only this last week started babbling mama, or bamba as she sort of says. Yesterday DP put her to bed, she was having none of it, tears and unhappiness, lots of tearful babbling, I went in, she held her arms out to me and cried 'MaMa' I took her and as she came to me she said it again 'MaMa!' and then cuddled her face into my shoulder. [very proud and emotional mummy emoticon]. Now, she says it all the time and points to me!!!

Thanks for all your kind words everyone. I've just had a shte week. Saw the GP on Tuesday prior to my appointment with the consultant to go through my birth notes, and it brought it all back again. Clearly I haven't got closure on that issue yet. Then there were yet more problems at work with the bldy job evaluation - more misinformation, confusion and general crpness. Then AF and I always feel cr*p with that, and then Aidan's accident. I've just been so stressed out this week I don't quite feel all here, like I'm in a daze, so I know I've not been mothering Aidan as well as I should be. He nearly choked on something when we were in a cafe on Friday and I was useless then as well. God, I hope I can sort myself out again soon - I feel like I did not long after the birth at the moment.

Anyhow, sorry to whinge. Happy Birthday to Ella for tomorrow!

Twinklemegan · 15/07/2007 22:13

You know what KZ, I really can't be bothered with that argument again. I have truly moved on. I still care, of course, but I don't care what others think any more.

jom · 15/07/2007 22:15

Happy belated birthdays Jacob and Josh

More birthdays tomorrow but will send you my wishes then.

Just a quick one tonight as Amelia had me up at 5 this morning so its been a long day. Of course DH had already planned a day out so I couldn't even sneak a snooze in during the day. DS has been an angel for me today though.

Oh and if any of you other 18th-ers noticed, I finally realised that our LOs birthday is Wednesday. I had in my head it was Tuesday for some reason (think I even said in my last post...'on Tuesday we're....') Luckily my Mum pointed out to me that its Wednesday...I guess I would have noticed at some stage lol.

Amelia is pretty much walking. We've had seven steps in a row now, and with much more control. Although a tad robot like as she tends to keep her legs stiff. Cute Will have a proper read of all your posts tom.
