In honour of Sophie's impending birthday this week, I thought I would start a new thread....

OP posts:

Aw-too much chatting ladies

kayzed-hope Roshi is OK with her MMR. Sophie has hers on the 31st. Dressings sound a pain and plastic surgery bless her cotton socks. You are good trying to get Chili dry at night. Em is 4 next Thursday and does not wake up for wees so still wears a nappy at night. Just can't face getting up to change bedding every night.

jom-somebody older than me (well apart from FirstatForty ) Clever little Amelia-there will be no stopping her now.

skay-kavya, the little monkey. Cake is so nice though.

us-have an excellent holiday.

Twinkle-hope your week improves.

Bloss-welcome back ROFL at your post as we are going to Oxford in PIL's caravan on Sunday until Friday. So looking forward to a non walking 1 year old and a wild 4 year old in a confined space especially if it rains. There is a porch awning apparently so the girls could be dumped in there. Am taking my laptop and will drive round looking for a wireless connection methinks.

kittenkat-Happy Birthday ! What is all this silly talk of a cliquey 30 club???????????

Is it just me that is not bothered about Harry Potter? Great name though Annie-keep watching those mozzies!

Went to meet the teachers at Em's school on Tuesday night-what a fab school and even has an outdoor swimming pool. Am going to put myself forward as a Parent Helper so I can get in that pool. Hope I pass the Police check, filled the form in wrong so had to ask the Head for another-doh! Have bought some bits of uniform so now need to do the onerous task of sewing in name tags.

Better get on, so much to do and so little time. Not relishing the thought of getting back late on Friday the 20th and having 12 people round for a BBQ on the Saturday. I am Bree like and need 2 days to prepare and clean.

Love to all

xxx

re weeing - poor H! put both kids to bed, then went into the garden with an enormous glass of red, and the phone to catch up with my sis. 30 minutes later came back in for a refill and heard H yelling at his stair gate. He wanted a wee and I hadn't heard him and he'd done it on the floor! Poor little tike he was mortified. Felt terrible. I said "H Mummy is really sorry, I didn't hear you!" and he said "Mummy - it's ok. Don't worry" and gave me a kiss. [melt emoticon] "Please can I have some more pyjamas" he said solemnly.

Hi Girls!!

Welcome back Bloss!! Misstcha loads too!! LOL at poor lil Harry, naughty mummy drinking lots of red wine. At least you waited til they were in bed I spose, unlike some round here...

KZ glad Roshi's jabs went ok. Hope the choc raisins work!!! So worrying about the ulcer though, hope it clears up.

HC, yes I'm afraid I'm a bit obsessed. I have a job as MrsWeasley's house elf on another thread. KZ I don't think 3.5 is too young!! I'm tempted to read it to Joey at 2.2! He recognised HP when the trailer comes on the telly!!! He sometimes gets confused with Harry and his bucketful of dinosaurs though...

Jom, that's brilliant about Amelia's 'walking'!! Kayley does a very similar thing, throws herself at me, then turns and throws herself at DH. Finds it hilarious. Then Joey joins in...

HAPPY 30th KITTENKAT!!!

DH has gone off on a mission, to buy herbs for the garden, and to get Kayley a birthday present. Lets see what he comes back with. It's bound to be something that Joey would like...

Time to go again, I need my own house elf in this place...

Annie

Hello ladies.

So 30's club.

I was just wondering if we could put down our ages - be truthful now girls.

Skay - (37) 27/05
Twinklemegan - 30?
HC - 36?

AnnieOleHouseElf · 12/07/2007 16:45

True KZ, perhaps he's the perfect age then!

Skay are you mad? I've been going backwards since I turned 30...

Kayley and Joey just did the funniest thing ever! He was eating grapes from his little bowl, and giving her one here and there, and he stood in the middle of the floor with his bowl, and she went for it!! Took two steps across from the couch. Then she held onto him for dear life while he was going backwards (the force of her weight I'm guessing) and then they both fell over and started laughing madly. 'Again, again!'...

Course I missed it on camera...

gonna email work now and just say once and for all I'm not going back. Been shilling and shallying about it, waiting to see what they could offer me three days a week, they won't offer till I've been in for an interview (WTF?), I can't get childcare to go/can't be bothered, etc, etc, just feels like I'm prolonging the agony. Not looking forward to paying my own mobile phone bill though, do you think they will back date me since my year was up at the end of June and make me pay the difference??

kbaby · 12/07/2007 22:09

Twinkle- No thank you for checking. I guess it teaches me to post something before I actually think properly about it.

Ds was singing on DD?s microphone yesterday and I noticed that he has another bottom tooth through. It looks full size so I cant believe I missed it. Gives him a grand total of 5 now. 3 bottom ones and the 2 top canines(odd)
DD'S been really horrible to him today and I am fed up of telling her off. I cant wait until hes walking because then she wont be able to push him so much. Todays shes run into him on a trike twice, stood on his fingers and then when he was after some chocolate she was eating she turned the swivel chair round he was holding onto and he fell flat on his face. Poor thing. I hope I wasn?t that mean to my brother.
Blos- welcome home.

Sat in bored waiting for dd's birthday cake to be delivered (I know, but I can't cook cakes, and we fancied a posh one for her 1st birthday!) It's supposed to be a teletubbies one !
Still no walking going on here, although she has started doing the lunging/diving 1 step.... congrats to all those babies more adventurous/skilled !!!!
Miserable weather here still, really hoping it's going to clear up at some point this year ! Quite annoyed that bought loads of summer clothes for DD but by the time we get any sun at all, she'll be too big for them (I hope) !
Snotty noses here today, hoping its to do with teeth and not a stonking cold brewing just in time for her birthday
Suppose I really should get on with some washing or something. DD happily watching Big Cook Little Cook.

Our friend came round last night with her LO who is 11 months. He is chubbier than DD but quite a bit shorter. They were so funny both standing up holding on to each other, refusing to drink out of their own beakers and using each others instead ! They were so cute at one point, standing in front of the TV (Night Garden was on) together - will try to post pic later.....

Right am going to go and do some jobs now, see you all later xx

AnnieOleHouseElf · 13/07/2007 15:14

Hi Girls,
Just a quickie to say have a great weekend, if anyone wants to come round on Sunday for the Bbq, you're all more than welcome!!!

Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

TheGoddessBlossom · 13/07/2007 19:19

evening ladeez. I am bloody exhausted tonight, my legs don't appear to be working properly!! Have been up and down the stairs for the past 15 minutes as H got scared by Little Bear Stories (THE most benign television programme in the world, but he's got a thing about bears, he won't go singing any more because of the "Going on a Bear Hunt" song, I should have known better)...

early night for me tonight. DH had the boys for a couple of hours this afternoon which was total bliss so me and mum went into town for a coffee, such luxury!!

here's some holiday pics I look particulary wind blown, but how I looked was the least of my problems!!

Bloss
