In honour of Sophie's impending birthday this week, I thought I would start a new thread....

Hi all,

I'm behind yet again! I always intend to post each day. I read everyone's posts then leave the computer on and go about my day, fully intending to post at some point. Then, before I know it, it's bed time. This year is passing too quickly.

I really don't have much to report here. DS got his SAT's results. He did well and is very pleased with himself.

DD1 is sound as always. She is such a gem, even if she is a bit cheeky every so often.

Abbey is ace. She has taken a few steps. I managed to catch the first ones on my camera phone but haven't a clue how to put it on here. Can ya help please? Oh also I have sussed the reason for the crap sleeping. She is getting her 4 front top teeth all in one go.

I'm adding Abbey to the birthday list:-

Sophie - 27th June
Bella (baby poosecat) - 1st July
Jake - 3rd (I think?)
Roisin - 4th
Ryan - 5th
Charlotte - 9th
Jacob 14th
Josh - 14th
Ella - 16th
Emma - 16th
Zack - 16th
Alexandra - 17th
Kayley - 18th
Amelia - 18th
Abbey - 18th
Junior - 19th
Aidan - 28th
James ? 2nd aug
Toby - 8th (August)
Sefton - 5th

Still haven't bought anything for her. Will do soon though!!

Hello to everyone. Sorry not to reply individually but I think I'm doing well to get this far.

Love to all

Jeanie

Sorry- just re-read my post. How random am I? I hope you get the gist or is it jist? Anyway, hope you get it.........

usandnosleep · 11/07/2007 07:53

Hi all

I'm off on holiday tomorrow so I wanted to say Happy Birthday to Emma and all the other beautiful babies who turn one whilst I'm away

Packing for a holiday with a baby is like packing for an expedition and I'm only going to flippin' France

Have good weeks all xxx

AnnieOleHouseElf · 11/07/2007 12:16

Hi All,

Off on a shopping trip in a mo, for work! Just to buy a few bits and bobs for the mozzies. Lunchboxes and water sprayers. Don't ask!! It is pee-ing down though...

Us, have a great holiday! Know what you mean about the packing. We had two big cases going to Ireland, and we only went for five days. Have a great time!!!

Jeanie, congrats to your DS on his SATs, and to Abbey for walking!! your post wasn't random at all!! No more than some others anyway... Hope Abbey's teeth come through soon. One week to go to the big birthdays!!

Hi Ceebee, how is work? Nothing too strenuous I hope, don't want to chip those nails!!!

Thanks Impy, your pictures are gorgeous too! He looks so grown up, and so happy! Don't suppose you fancy organising my BBQ for Sunday??

Must go girls, chat later!

Annie

Hi skay
Good to hear from you, how is Kavya doing?

skay · 11/07/2007 16:40

Just a quickie, Kavya has well and truly started to climb.

She has a small childs chair that she climbs up on.

Last week I left cake on the dining table, (fortunately there were no knives)
Kavya decided that she wanted a bit, so she pulled over the small chair, climbed onto the seat, and helped herself to cake!!!
Crumbs all around her, and all over her face, quite funny really.

FirstAtForty · 11/07/2007 20:32

Hi Girls
Just a quickie for me too - drinking on an empty stomach again and it's time to go and cook (yawn).

Hi Skay Kavya sounds very funny!

Us - have a fab holiday, you so deserve one! Big happy birthday to Zack for Monday hope he enjoys la belle France

Impy - what wonderful pics and vid, love the nursery scenes, panning to each waving 'star'!

Annie - hope the mossie shopping was successful

Jeanie - well done to your DS!

Hi to everybody - will catch up soon xxx

babalon · 11/07/2007 20:39

Hi all

Impy what fab photos! ryan looks like Ryan had a ball!

Logan's still crabby and following a second opinion it turns out to be the poxs but he's over the worst still unsettled at night he keeps trying to sleep sitting/ flopped forwards? Weird little thing!

Kayzed - Boots are bars are going really well now, his feet look fab since going in to a new type of boot. Unfortunately our NHS trust won't finance them but I've appealled against this and don't intend to back down. Can't wait for him to walk then I'll start relaxing a bit!

I've brought Logan a 5 in 1 push/ride on car thing with a parent handle and harness to stop him throwing himself out! It's from mothercare. Mum and Dad are getting him a swing. Need to think about a party now.

Could someone add Logan to the birthday list please 02/08/06 I don't know how

Ceebee74 · 11/07/2007 20:42

Just a quick post, to all the bubbas I have missed....happy belated birthdays.

To all the grown ups I have missed, esp the 30 year olds! Happy birthday too!
To those who are about to become 30...me...happy birthday! Mine tomorrow!

DD is great, as always!

FirstAtForty · 11/07/2007 23:03

Kayzed - ooh poor Roshi what will they do about the ulcer?

Welcome back Bloss (yay ) why back early?

Twinklemegan · 11/07/2007 23:08

Gosh, how many of us on this thread are 30? Me for starters. There must be at least 5 of us do you think? We should start our own clique lol.

KZ - hope Roshi gets on OK.

Happy belated birthday to Charlotte!

Just a quick post tonight ladies, I've had a hell of a week so far so not feeling too chatty. Most of my MN activity this week has been ranting!

Happy belated birthday for Charlotte

And happy birthday to all you young Mums of 30 I'll be 39 in November!

KZ- Hope all goes well for you and Roshi

Bloss- Welcome back. Looking forward to some pics. (shouldn't really say that as my hol was a month ago now and have I posted any snaps? no)

Babalon- for Logan and his pox. At least it'll be over and done with! Glad to hear his feet are improving. Good for you appealing re the funding, let us know how you get on.

skay- lol at kavya and her cake. When I was talking to DS about Amelias birthday he informed me that babies don't have cake- don't know whether he was implying he could help her out by eating her share as well!

us- bon voyage. I know what you mean about the packing thing. Its hard to know what to take, especially in this type of weather - although hopefully the weather in France is better than here at the mo. I think maybe even the goddess herself might even find it a bit of a challange!

Impy- gorgeous pics and video of Ryan celebrating his big day. What a cutie- and a clever bi lingual one at that!

Things are back to normal with myself and DH just had one of those weekends when hes in denial that he has any children and that he may need to actually help out! Must finalise the birthday pres this weekend. Have decided to open presents from us only and have a small cake on Tuesday, her actual birthday, and then open the rest on the following Saturday when we'll have more of a party and visit the local city farm. Am looking forward to it. Must dash. Sorry to anyone I've forgotten for now x

jom · 12/07/2007 09:41

Forgot to say Amelia took three steps unaided yesterday
Didn't seem that in control though - more just throwing herslef at me really. Cute anyway

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/07/2007 09:43

morning morning.

Have caught up with all your posts you chatty lot! Happy birthday to all those I have missed, both babies and mummies.

We are home early because of two main things - 1) the weather, 2) Toby. Having been an angel baby for the first 8 months of his life (and he still generally is to be fair) he now will NOT be carried, will NOT travel in the car without screaming, will NOT go into his car seat/buggy without a scrap, SCREAMS with outrage when toys taken off him, food is finished, beats Harry over the head with any toy available (sign of affection I am sure but still...) and is on the whole much harder work than ever before. He is totally adorable, don't get me wrong, but rain, a caravan, and a non-walking child do not a holiday make.

We had some great days, weather was lovely last weekend, and we spent Friday on Lyme Regis beach in the sun, DH took Harry crabbing every day which they both loved, the views were fabulous and I miss the sea already. But it is sooooooooooooooooooooooo lovely to be home I can't tell you....in the second place, the previous people in our caravan had clearly chain smoked in it illegally and the whole place stank, just things like that which make you appreciate your own home.

I had a great theory that if we stayed there all day Tuesday, fed and bathed them and put them in the car at their usual bed time the boys would sleep all the way home. Well what a joke that was, neither boy so much as closed his eyes the whole 4 hours home, and Toby screamed for most of it. I think someone slipped them both a speed bomb for lunch!

Have I mentioned it's nice to be back?

Loads of other little stories to tell you I'm sure but got to run now. Sorry about Roshi's dressings having to go back on KZ, that's rotten.

Speak later,

Love Bloss

TheGoddessBlossom · 12/07/2007 09:46

pS will look at all pics and vids and post my own later too.

Missed you girls! Me without MN was like PrettyMum without her laptop! No mobile reception either! Didn't know what to do with myself, and had to drink far too much wine to compensate!
