Good evening all - feeling a bit more chilled out - went to the Bath Thermae Spa - was really lovely and relaxing - loved the roof pool and bobbed about in the mineral bath for ages - tried the steam rooms but freaks me out after about 4 minutes ... highly recommend if visit Bath - I was lucky as was given a 2 hour voucher - would have cost £20 - 1 hour is £12 - dh says no way is paying that for a swim!!!! (said maybe if it had a huge slide )

So I left him at 5.15pm with 3 boys and they are all alive and in bed asleep! I have had two glasses of wine as dh is going to give ernie a bottle for his next feed.

I hope you have all remembered fathers day tomorrow ... ds1 has bought him a wallet from Animal, ds2 has had a picture he did printed onto an apron for dh and ds2 (aahhhhh) and has made him an octopus paper weight (at playgroup!) ans ernie has bought him a pack of playing cards from M&S with the top 52 golf courses on - and they have all done cards - though rather sadly - I did a footprint one of ernie on friday at toddlers and left it there

I have failed miserably to send my own dad anything -so will email pics of coys in morning and call him - he is all alone as mum has gone to frace for two weeks to visit a friend. And if you are feeling very nosey - my parents house is for sale with a company called Nigel Green - Paignton based - think is on for abaout £405K - haven't looked myself yet despite numerous emails from my dad!

octo · 16/06/2007 22:50

dippy - did you want my curtains????

I will email you all some pics as can't do links!

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 16/06/2007 22:53

Oooooh yes - Do email pics - Thank you!

Yes, I have remembered Father's Day tomorrow ...... even though DH forgot Mothering Sunday this year. Still havn't quite gotten over it yet ....

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 16/06/2007 22:54

Remembered Father's Day for DH's dad, my dad & my mum's partner too ......

Phew DP out so can catch up on MN! Lovely, cute baby photos - my kids keep seeing me look at them and asking who they are and can they visit them I try and explain that they are 'cyber' babies!

Hope you had a good night out Ellie - pmsl at your breast pad problem - I join the others who don't leak a drop.

The sleep vibes must have also found their way to the lake district as the baby sleep 9 - 4am - then to 7am and then to 9am and me too Hope those who are waiting for that magic lengthening of sleep happens for you too.

Busy day with school fete and swimming gala (my DD who is 9 is a competitive swimmer and we are at the pool at last 5 times a week - a warning for those with wee ones - think twice about this sport!). Other than that sorting out Father Day cards etc - have to really be on the ball now that I have children by two different men

octo · 16/06/2007 23:03

Have emailed boys pics and cake not curtains LOL!

Was thinking of you earlier zazas - a friend has just announced she is pg with her 5th - she had 5 under 5 - but has a VW transporter and seems happy to fill it - she is one of eight herself so seems quite normal to her!

zazas · 16/06/2007 23:10

Now that is full on! It is not so mad here really as we only have 5 about 40% of the time so it can be quite calm and orderly! Actually is is easy when we have all the kids together as they get on so well and play - it is the feeding of them that is relentless. My good friend back in NZ had her 9th last year and she home schools them - hats off to her I say.

But in line with the thread's title - both DP and I are thinking about another one to round it off to 6 - probably just the hormones but we are so enjoying our new DD so much - we can't imaging not having one more! It will also mean she has one close in age as the nearest other one is 5 years older.

Zazas slinks out now that she has said 'out loud' what everyone will consider crazy!

elkiedee · 16/06/2007 23:10

Very virtuous, CD. dp has dropped hints about Father's Day but I think he might have to wait for Danny to be old enough to be the one who does something. To be honest, I wouldn't particularly expect him to do Mother's Day either. I'm very close to my mum but don't really do it myself, actually her mum (and of course my grandmother) died on Mother's Day in 1995 so it makes us feel a bit sad. I tend to get my mum and other family pressies when I think of something they'll like rather than on the right dates.

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 16/06/2007 23:11

Hello zazas - I was a v.competative swimmer myself as a child, so definitely steering DD's in opposite direction!! Thanks for the warning!

LOL Octo - you nutter!

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 16/06/2007 23:13

I agree Elkie - I don't like having a stipulated day that stuff is expected to be "done" on - I prefer to surprise the people I love when they least expect it .... much nicer that way! DD1 is old enough to "get" Father's Day - so definitely had to make at least a little bit of effort!

octo · 16/06/2007 23:14

zazas - sorry she has 4 under 5 - and expecting no 5.

octo · 16/06/2007 23:15

I like making an effort for dh on fathers day - its his only day each year I let him lie in and make him a cup of tea

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 16/06/2007 23:19

Pesha · 16/06/2007 23:21

Am sat here with dp and ds1 asleep on sofa next to me and ds2 asleep on his cushion on the chair. Have a glass of wine, genesis in concert on the telly, looking at lazyemmas pics and overwhelming urge to cry Not quite sure why

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 16/06/2007 23:23

Bles you - we're such emotion wrecks atm, ain't we!!? Lazyeema's pics are lovely!!

Pesha · 16/06/2007 23:26

They are lovely, everybodys pics are lovely. Genesis is early childhood music thast my parents used to play so prob a big part of it.

And dp has woken up and put fucking cricket on, as if playing it all day wasnt enough

octo · 16/06/2007 23:28
