Oooh Maveta - I'm nappy/wrap shopping too!!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 14/06/2007 16:17

Hi twin mummies - lovely to see you both.

Hi Maveta, lol at you and your nappy shopping. Sounds like double dutch to me, being a naughty disposable nappy user !

I am bored. I should be grateful, but K has been asleep since 2.45! Just hope she sleeps tonight with dh being away. The weather is pretty uninspiring, so we have done bugger all today. On to the FOURTH load of washing!!

CaptainDippySuperBoobs · 14/06/2007 16:22

Hee! Hee! Nice to see you 1st timers addicted to cloth .... long may it conintue!!

KHIN - Nothing wrong with your DT's spending most of the day asleep in the swinging chairs hon - esp with having your work to be getting on with ..... What would you be doing with them otherwise?? They are NEVER going to remember this time - so don't feel guilty sweetheart - Enjoy this time - they won't stay asleep happily in them forever!! {{{{{hugs}}}} Twin mummies ROCK!!

oooggs · 14/06/2007 16:24

We this could make you laugh....

Freak show we were, ds1 needed a hair cut and the barbers is upstairs so double buggy a no no. I will not be beat....

Jack in the sling, Erin perched on my right are and I was holding hands with James with my left. Into the barbers (men only!!!) and James jumped in the chair when it was his turn and I sat there jigging to keep dt's quiet. Then back to the car and were watched in amazement by the workemen on their snack break.

Not in a hurry to do it again though

maveta · 14/06/2007 16:24

ooh ooh nutty .. watcha buying??
sokl - lol, it is a bit goobledegook, isn´t it?

N has slept tons today, slept 11pm - 5.30am then 6.30-7.30am then all day as soon as I´ve fed him, he´s fallen straight back to sleep.. very odd. I think maybe the heat is exhausting him, you reckon?? Not complaining, giving myself a pedicure, trying to beat my feet into summer shape, while he sleeps. Hope he´s okay though, he certainly seems ok..just sleeping a lot

oooggs · 14/06/2007 16:24

I WANT A SWING CHAIR... (stamps feet in a James style tantrum )

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 16:25

Hey CD - I'm not sure DH is too keen on my cloth loving . He started rolling his eyes by the time I got halfway through telling him what I'd bought!

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 16:26

Sorry maveta x-posted. See my thread here

maveta · 14/06/2007 16:27

Hey KHIN, good to see you! Wanted to say I did see your thread and wanted to let you know you aren´t alone! Even with one I´ve had hard moments when feeding and dh and I had a row a few weeks ago when I was crying cos N wanted fed AGAIN and it was just so sore and I was so tired and he said he thought it was ridiculous that I was being so hard headed about breastfeeding when it hurt and it would be so much easier to give a bottle. What support, hey? They just don´t get it sometimes. YOU know you are doing a fab job and that is what matters the most so don´t forget it.

Kneehighinnappies · 14/06/2007 16:28

We had dd1's 1st b-day on saturday in our garden if you remember our garden looked liek this a few weeks ago

before

And well i wasn't very sure if dh would have it ready in time for the party, well we both worked our arses off and although it wasn't 100% finished but we did transformed it to this
after

we then had a lovely party with the most ummmmmm intresting clown I have ever seen

our clown

all the kids were very very impressed

DD1 and the clown

all in all a good day.
I probably shouldn't admit this but the clown is in fact........................................................ ............................................................ ............................................................ ................. my mother

at least lola had a good time

lola

(zed isn't much of a smiler)
Right i have about half an hour before feed time and i am not going to be doing any work so i will be around for the next half hour

maveta · 14/06/2007 16:28

lol nutty - dh has given up, I always go into a long rant about what I want to buy and why we absolutely NEEEED it and he just stares at me blankly until I stop and says, yeah, whatever, don´t know why you´re telling me, you´re going to buy it anyway..

maveta · 14/06/2007 16:32

wow nutty - that´s a wicked shop you´re doing! kudos to you for doing the whole terries thing, I bought one and use it as a mini towel! lol.. the shaped ones are just so easy..

oooggs · 14/06/2007 16:36

Hey KHIN - garden looking good. I must get this photo thing sorted, haven't posted any on here yet. Not sure how too

It was dd1's 2nd birthday, wasn't it????

liath · 14/06/2007 16:41

Photobucket being very slow but gorgeous photo of Lola.

Dd perked up after her calpol and ds conveniently slept all morning so had a nice morning doing loads of cooking with her and she even played on her own for a bit!! Off to get her from nursery soon.

Nellyhell - good to see you back on the thread. There's a Scottish meet up brewing for the 26th June.

Kneehighinnappies · 14/06/2007 16:42

Yeah 2 years old such a big girl. mind you now i can't tell people i have 3 kids under the age of 2 i love their reaction to that one

i was going to ask you oooggs i am think about changing the Dt's feed times, as they always wake up at 7am, and i keep them waiting till 9am but i am not sure how it is going to work out would you or have you adapted your feed times at all for the dt's?

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 16:44

Ah...maveta...I luuuurrrrrrrrrrrvvvvvvvvvvvve my terries! (The doc did too...he had a go at fastening them and announced that he'd learnt a new skill )

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 16:48

Lovely pics KHIN - sorry it took a while to load i wasn't ignoring them!

nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 16:52

DH was a bit shocked at how much I spent...told him I could always sell em afterwards. To which he replied "yeah but you won't"... he knows me so well!

I did suggest if we had lots more babies it would make them more cost effective ...it didn't get much response tho!

EllieK · 14/06/2007 19:52

hi all
bad day
and then it got worse
justin wanted to get joe some clothes, i said no but he could get him a playgym, i said it didn't matter which one, so long as it had something for him to lay on and an arch over the top

this is what he got

I DON'T NEED MORE NOISE IN THIS HOUSE

and nothing to lay on

it's going back tomorrow

OP posts:
liath · 14/06/2007 19:55

Aargh, those ones are a nightmare of noise! What a pillock. I hate irritating noisy toys, people think they're SUCH a good idea as gifts for dd.

EllieK · 14/06/2007 20:12

don't they just, but usually aunts and uncles, it's his father ffs

am i gonna have to contend with this all his life?

OP posts:
nuttygirl · 14/06/2007 20:32

Sorry you've had a bad day Ellie. Men never quite get it right unless they are told exactly what to get & where from.....they're all bloomin' useless!

oooggs · 14/06/2007 20:46

KHIN - they feed 8am 12pm 3.30pm & 7pm and at the mo once in the night, sometimes twice if I am really unlucky (the unlucky bit ladies for all those with 1, is that they will then wake at different times so dt1 1am, dt2 2am, dt1 4.30am & dt2 5am)

some days it goes right off and I don't know where I am, they are always fed together during the day (2nd twin woken if needed)

hope this helps, I do make them wait by distraction or walk or car when needed.

oooggs · 14/06/2007 20:59

I have just added some pictures, it was easier than I thought

I took then yesterday

WestCountryLass · 14/06/2007 21:04

I think i am going to have to buy another sling. I've got a Huggababy ring sling which Leo loved at first but now he likes to move his arms and legs around he doesn't like being restricted by the sling. Any suggestions for a 'normal' sling?
