Can I ask all you Londoners how far is Euston station from where you are meeting?

Lizzzombie · 21/06/2007 10:39

UD - my birthday is on the winter solstice (shortest day of the year!).So its my half birthday today!

Dragonhart · 21/06/2007 10:40

Glad lo is on the mend Carrot.

JodieG1 · 21/06/2007 10:50

We only got a highchair so Ethan had somewhere else to sit for when I'm cooking, cleaning, helping other dc's etc and as he's been sitting for ages now it's been really useful.

Glad lo is getting better MrsC and EaH that sounds really odd what happened in the night.

UD - glad things sorted themselves out.

Ethan is 23 weeks now so thinking about food in a few weeks, he really is interested now and seems ready but holding off a little longer. He really reaches for food on my plate lol. He's currently on his playmat trying to crawl hehe, he can get up on his hands and knees now for a few seconds so I doubt it'll be long before I have another lo following me everywhere!

eandh · 21/06/2007 11:38

Laughalot Hatties toy arrived this morning - she loves it (have a look pic on profile)

Also finally got a picture of Ellie in her school uniform and loaded on

Dragonhart · 21/06/2007 11:46

Luke has one of those car things too from when he was smaller on the side of the playpen. He presses the buttons for Ruth and she thinks it is very funny and they end up in fits of giggles. V cute!

vinorouge · 21/06/2007 12:16

ok I was in the middle of a long long post yesterday but lost it then had to go out.

In a rush now too!We are away next week and I have too many things to do. I have more washing than my washing line can take.....

lth - get on the train with lizz and conquer your fear!

our cellar did flood aagin on mon night. I want to move to a house without a cellar.

theUrbanDryad · 21/06/2007 13:28

DH - i'm going to Euston too, we could meet and get Tube together if you like? Russel Sq is on the Piccadilly line, so we'd need one stop from Euston to Kings X, then one stop down to Russel Sq! easy peasy!!

katwith3kittens · 21/06/2007 14:35

I've just noticed a train booking service on this site in the members discount part if anyone is about to book tickets. Unfortunately I cant come as its going to work out a bit too expensive for me as I'd have to bring the elder two as well

Wilkie · 21/06/2007 17:02

Vino/RGee - I know I am a wimp but am really nervous about travelling down to London on my own for the meet up. Would one of you be prepared to get the train that goe through Newark so I can meet you on it and travel to Kings X together???

EaH has kindly offered to meet me at Kings X but it will be a ball ache for her.

eandh · 21/06/2007 17:21

Not a ball ache just a few stops on tube and I'll meet you regardless as I m a wimp and dont want to go to Russell Square on my own and try and spot anyone I vaguley know!!!!!

Hurrah made another £170 selling stuff today so my total is £400 so far

JodieG1 · 21/06/2007 17:39

I'm looking forward to this I'll have to get dh to book the day off and he can come up with me and take the older two to do something while me and Ethan meet you lot. We'll be driving up as I can't stand the tube.

eandh · 21/06/2007 17:42

The lovely shimmer has been helping me on msn I am going to bus from Victoria to Kings Cross to meet you Wilkie (apparently its the easiest way with the buggy) then we can walk to Russell Square phewwww glad we have a knowledgeable 'local' on this this thread to help with the travel arrangements.

Jodie thats a good idea, dh bookedday off to look after Ellie but just said to him and he sais 'might do' which means if ellie in a mood/naughty he wont face doing public transport and entertaining her

RGee · 21/06/2007 17:55

Wilkie / Vino - I'll be checking trains when lo is in bed and we've had tea, so will be back on later. BTW, I don't think I'll be bringing Pippa.
UD - unless you have a toddler (Dragon - was it you talking about this so you may have Luke too?), Euston is no distance from Russell Square and it'll probably take longer to get the tube than walk.
Back later

LadyTophamHatt · 21/06/2007 19:21

guess what I did today?

ran in the parents race at ds1+2 sports day!!

Ok I came last but 2 of them were proper runners and other was uber fit....none of them had had a baby 5 months ago.

I heard lots of little voices going "Wooooooooooo" as we ran passed the children.
Ds1 had the cheek to say "Muuunnm I can't believe you came last"

I feel quite proud of myself actually.

Wilkie · 21/06/2007 20:00

RGee - I must admit I am thinking of not bring J too...

Wilkie · 21/06/2007 20:04

Well done LTH - I guess you were so excited you had to post twice

Have had a lovely day today. Been at BFs all day. Went to the Debenhams sale this morning but thought it was fairly shite TBH. It annoys me that there is more girls clothes in the sale than boys. Why is that?!?!?!

Warehouse and Oasis had only made a half arsed attempt at joining in the sale too.

Bought a bag though - possibly one of the only non-sale bags!! Oops

JodieG1 · 21/06/2007 20:09

LTH - sounds like fun!

Wilkie and Rgee - not bringing babies? I'm torn between wanting to show Ethan off and meet your babies and enjoying a nice meet
without him hehe. Now I wonder if dh would take the 3 of them on some trip while I enjoyed myself hehe, will have to
speak with him about it.

Wilkie I always find there are loads more clothes for girls than there are for boys.

Wilkie · 21/06/2007 20:11

Jodie - me too re torn between bringing him and not. Logistically it is just a bit of a nightmare with feeds/milk/solids etc, navigating London on school hols with 6 month old baby when I don't know it that well.

laughalot · 21/06/2007 20:13

Wilkie they always have loads of girls stuff in the sale I used to get really mad about it but now I have lauren im not as bothered .

Eah glad h liked the toy, sorry about texting you when it wasnt even you I wanted and well done on the sales.

Lth well done last place that sounds like how my sports days might be.

Had a crap day my ds decided to defrost my freezer without telling me and guess where I went shopping on saturday marks and spencers............. I wasnt a happy bunny ask eah she will tell you . Sorry I cant make the meet up I work wens/thur so its hard to change my days must admit though I am a little scared of london its way to big for me . Aidan was ok at school had to order his uniform cost me £ 27 just for a JACKET AND JUMPER .

eandh · 21/06/2007 20:31

I LOVE the fact there are more girls clothes not sure dh/credit card agree though!

Wilkie · 21/06/2007 20:33

Maybe I could dress J as a transexual????

eandh · 21/06/2007 20:36

well in that case I'll forward a few summer dresses in reds/white/blue/pink/lilac etc for you to try him out in and see which feminine colours suit him

Wilkie · 21/06/2007 20:40

Sound lovely. DH is glaring at me across the room.
