April girls hit Brighton! And bring their mums along too . . .

As I have no brain and often no time to read all of the other thread, I thought I'd start a new one for SE meet up plans.

The questions:

  1. Can we all get to Brighton? Is that the best place?
  2. What weekdays could you do without big ones? Failing that, a Saturday.
  3. Who fancies a trip to West Wittering with the big ones in the summer hols? Let's book it in early.

For me - Yep, Brighton good, although I don't know it very well so I'm hoping someone else will suggest where to meet. Also happy if others have other suggestions - Arundel?!?
Best mid-week days for me are probably Tues, Wed or Fri when I can book N in to her nursery for a longer session. Monday also okay but would have to make it fairly speedy to be back by 3.00.

Or maybe we should just all meet at the station and take it from there? Sure we could park nearby . . .

Sounds like a good idea Bramshott

Bramshott · 19/06/2007 22:04

11.30 at the front entrance of the station?

That makes sense Bramshott. See you there.

AngeG · 20/06/2007 13:43

Just a thought for SOKL and Waspelly...are you both booking tickets in advance for the Train on Friday or just turning up? What about coming back...I was thinking we don't want get in with the rush of Friday evening!!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 20/06/2007 18:08

Hi there. Think I might book tickets both ways. Need to look at times for coming back.
Glad we are meeting at the station!!

AngeG · 20/06/2007 18:38

Have looked at times for coming back...they are at 57 minutes passed the hour for the direct trains I think.

AngeG · 20/06/2007 18:40

I meant past

Sexonknackeredlegs · 20/06/2007 18:48

It looks as though I am going to have to get the 14.57 train back which is direct and gets in to Eastleigh at 16.26. I then need to pick B up. The 15.00 train requires 2 changes and the 15.57 gets in a bit too late for me. I'm not sure I am going to book as will be too early for commuters I think. Also, do you get actual seats booked, as if that is the case, we may not end up sitting with one another.

What do you think you will do time wise Ange and WaspElly?

AngeG · 20/06/2007 18:55

Hi there

The 14.57 is prob best for me also. I hadn't thought about us not sitting together. Probably no need to book as we're travelling out of rush hour.

Do you agree?

Sexonknackeredlegs · 20/06/2007 19:01

I agree. So, all sorted then. Hurrah!!! Let's hope it doesn't pee with rain!

WaspElly · 20/06/2007 21:28

Oh that suits me just fine too - means I can confirm times tomorrow afternoon as we're having an 'orientation' session with the friend who's looking after cameron.

Really really excited about this now. Am itching to see our collective offspring - and your good selves again (and new!)

AngeG · 20/06/2007 21:31

Excellent Waspelly. Are you getting on at Fareham?

Sexonknackeredlegs · 20/06/2007 21:32

Excellent. I have Ange's mobile and she has mine. Do you want to email me/Ange with yours, in case there are any problems.

WaspElly · 20/06/2007 21:48

Plan is get on at Farham - (is there parking close by? an how outrageously expensive is it?

I'll email phone number later tonight...

AngeG · 20/06/2007 21:49

There's a train car park..not sure how busy/expensive it is though!

Sexonknackeredlegs · 21/06/2007 07:59

I think parking is free if you are paying out for the train. I am sure this is what the score is at Eastleigh. Can you call them?

backhomenow · 24/06/2007 02:14

well, i enjoyed it and i think everyone else did too

discovered new things, such as .........

Pesha thinks of herself as Pee-Sha, not Pesh-a (from Peter and Natasha)

in my head i had WaspElly looking like Emmymummy

I had no idea what Bramshott looked like, despite seeing a pic after last meetup

never trust Captain Dippy to direct you anywhere

and Pesha doesn't have intimate knowledge of Steven from CiTV
(we passed him in the street on our way home and she wondered how she knew him )

AngeG · 24/06/2007 12:28

Glad you enjoyed it Ellie I really enjoyed it too.

I have to say that I thought of Pesha as Pee-Sha rather than Pesh-a It was great that she travelled all that way to meet us all...Well Done Pesha

Fantastic that so many of us were able to make it, would be great to do a really big meet up somewhere as well...might have to hire out a whole restaurant or something!
