Wilkie · 24/05/2007 19:55

RGee - my belly button is a cavern so I clean it will vaseline on the end of a cotton bud. Works a treat

Get yer ass on MSN - I'm bored

Lizzzombie · 24/05/2007 19:56

OMG - Trixi I forgot about that one. I HATE it when people chew gum loudly. They look like camels & sound like cows eating grass. It vile. It makes me retch.
And people with garlic breath. Its discusting. Its not too much to ask to have a mint after you've eaten garlic is it? So the rest of us don't have to suffer vile sh*t smelling breath. Ugh. I feel sick thinking about it!

Wilkie · 24/05/2007 19:59

DH trying to kiss me properly in a morning with morning breath [vomit emoticon] "Go clean your teeth first Mr!!!!!" or wanting a BJ with a bit of fluff stuck on the end of his willy [bleurgh emoticon]

Wilkie · 24/05/2007 19:59

Did I share too much????

Lizzzombie · 24/05/2007 19:59

And another thing. PDA's. So unclassy. Especially when they are right in your face. Like when people snog behind you on the bus and you can hear it. Or, and this is the worst. I used to work in Habitat, putting orders through for furniture. On day the computer was being slow, and whilst we were waiting, the couple I was processing the order through for started getting off with each other right in front of me. I was gobsmacked. If I'd have had a gun in my drawer I would have shot them. How dare they do that. Its SO SO rude!

RGee · 24/05/2007 20:00

Wilkie - loved the pics. The shades are great! How big/small are his feet? That reminded me that I still need to paint lo's feet and stick them in her baby book thingy (as per EAH's instructions about 4 months ago!)

Lizzzombie · 24/05/2007 20:03

And china dolls. Err - so so creepy! I used to work at QVC and my job was to write descriptions for the presenters to read about the china dolls. I always had loads of china dolls on my desk. Very scary!

vinorouge · 24/05/2007 20:10

Lizz you seem to have worked everywhere.

I am in a bad mood at the mo. Been trying to order something online all day and pc just not playing ball. Dh couldn't fix it when he came home either. He swanned in for 45 minsd before going out to footie. I've got to wash up, tidy up, pack for going away over w/e as DH needs to take stuff in car when he goes to work tomorrow. Already bathed and fed LO but she is crying, has been annoying me today as been v whingy. And our swimming lesson was cancelled cos the chlorine levels were too high.

Going away for the w/e means I will pronb have to spend tomorrow night with MIL. Not my idea of the perfect Fri night at all.

Wilkie - you love giving us TMI!!!!!! I don't mind morning breath kisses if we've both got morning breath

Rgee - you and your booze......enjoy the cricket. I am about to do some ironing and put away my lovingly folded washing....it smells sooooo good from having dried on the line.

Dunno if you'd call it a phobia but I hate the smell of rain on hot tarmac ie if it rains on a sunny day. It repulses me.

Wilkie · 24/05/2007 20:25

Vino my lovely Do you have PMT?? You are a little scary

vinorouge · 24/05/2007 20:27

Who knows???? Maybe, have had one kind of period since LO arrived. I've still not done the deed, keep saying we should but we never get round to it.

And despite my jobs to do here I am sitting aimlessly online wasting time getting cross with myself the longer I sit here.

MrsCarrot · 24/05/2007 20:40

Trixy- I meant to ask how your dairy free is going?

ellieandhattie · 24/05/2007 20:59

evening, cant remember who posted what so sorry no personals.

Whoever asked yes Hattie has slept through since 12 weeks (used to dreamfeed at 10pm but she dropped that a few weeks ago) feeling very lucky as with Ellie used to be up and down putting dummy in but Hattie sucks her thumb and always manages to find that

School trip was great and ellie perfectly well beaved for her teachers (mmm I saw a different side to her today) she hardly wanted me mainly wanted her keyworker and loved the picnic/games part and played nicely with the other kids (and I had tears in my eyes when I realised how grown up shes become lately) my little baby doesnt always need me which is great but

trixymalixy · 24/05/2007 21:00

The dairy free diet is going OK so far, but don't think it's helping DS very much, he's still screaming a lot at feeds . His excema seems to be getting worse as well.

I have been shocked at how many things have dairy in them. I thought plain chocolate wouldn't have any in it, but a lot of them have some form of milk protein in.

We're going to see a cranial osteopath next week and I'm hoping the baby massage will help as well.

vino - you do sound like you're in a mood!! Pour yourself a big glass of wine!!

Dragonhart · 24/05/2007 21:05

Thanks everyone. Cant stop thinking about it but info about your BF DH Mrs Carrot was v reasuring.

Wilkie- Congratulations on the sleeping through!

Rgee- Christening is on 24th June. I have just printed off the invitations and realised I have about 75 people to invite. Just hoping most dont come as they wont fit in my little house. Esp if it rains! PMSL at Thomas being scary though! Mind you, I did take another look at it and can kind of see what you mean.

Laughlaot- Glad you are better today.

UD- Glad visit with MIL went well.

Lizz - Good luck wiht the signing. Will keep everything crossed for you.

Well, we havent done the deed yet but I have a thing about doing anything sexual when I am bfing. Just kind of creeps me out, the whole boobs for feeding/boobs for sex. Poor DH, prob has another few months at least of this drought!

Dragonhart · 24/05/2007 21:09

EAH- Glad trip went well, I know what you mean about them growing up so quick. Was watching Luke with his cousin last weekend and he seemed so old running around.

Trixy- at Dairy free diet not really working. Must be hard having such a resticting diet and it not seeming to help. Hope it gets better soon.

MrsCarrot · 24/05/2007 21:25

Oh, me too, Dragon, I wince if DH comes anywhere near my boobs, uurgh!

Trixy- sorry to hear it's not helping . Yes, it is in a lot of plain choc too. Green and Blacks maya gold and cherry is fine. Montezuma's is fine and duchy from waitrose, they have lots of things, chocolate orange thins, choc covered orange peel, booja booja champange truffles, hazelnut truffles etc...
Unfortunatley, if after 2 or 3 weeks of it not helping it could be something else. Wheat? Acidic foods. It is a nightmare, I'm having it at the moment, LO was much worse today really wheezy and the only thing I did differently yesterday was eat a LOT of tomatoes, looked it up today and the excema website says they're a very common trigger. I'd be very hopeful about seeing your cranial ost though, they can be fantastically helpful, mine was, and Wilkie's. Hope it settles down for you soon.

JodieG1 · 24/05/2007 21:42

Trixy - lol, Ethan is always up that many times for a feed so when you get woken up think of me as I'll probably have
been woken up too lol

Rgee - I did a bit, cleaned the kitchen after lunch and just played with the ds1 and ds2.

Wilkie - I still never see you on my msn, very strange, will try deleting you and re adding again. I don't scroll up and down
to do personals, I open a text file and write on it as I go through the posts

DH and MrsCarrot - I'm the same re boobs and have told dh that he can't touch them at the moment. He's upset as they're huge lol
and he can only look but never touch hehe. At least he understands though. Just can't bear it if he touches them sexually as
at the moment they feel like just for feeding with and not sexual at all.

trixymalixy · 24/05/2007 22:02

Aagh, if I have to give up wheat and tomatoes then I don't know what I would eat as most dinners are tomato based pasta!!!

Someone also suggested giving up my nightly glass of wine

Am eating Maya gold at the momeny. Nom nom!!

Jodie will think of you at 2am. Do you just take LO into bed with you as well? I find I get woken up more but feel like I get more sleep that way.

Lizz - can't believe that couple snogging right in front of you. That is sooo rude!

JodieG1 · 24/05/2007 22:12

Trixy we co-sleep so I just have to roll over at least lol! I find it so much easier as there's no getting up and he can stay where he is nice and warm too.

Wilkie · 24/05/2007 22:28

Jodie - not sure about MSN. You appear to have been offline all night according to mine.

Re Co-Sleeping. Do you not think that maybe you are disturbing him so that is why he wakes so much? I know when J was in our room he woke all the time but slept much better once in nursery (still wakes but not so much). Also, when I stopped at my Mum's last I was in the room with him in a travel cot and he woke every two hours all night! Nice!!

Obviously it's personal choice but I do think it is good for them to get a decent night's sleep too. J has been an angel today after his sleepthroughdom!

JodieG1 · 24/05/2007 22:33

I wouldn't risk the higher cot death stats by having him in another room before 6 months tbh but that's just me. I know he's very happy all day and isn't grumpy so doesn't lack sleep, he feeds in his sleep He makes a noise that I know means he needs feeding and I whack a boob out

trixymalixy · 24/05/2007 22:42

Wilkie, I think DS wakes more because he falls asleep before he has had a proper feed rather than me disturbing me. He actually sleeps much longer for naps if I'm sleeping in the room with him.

I used to sit up properly in bed and try to keep him awake to feed which took about an hour and I was knackered the next day.

Now I wake up about once extra a night, but feel miles more rested because I can sleep through him feeding. I don't notice much difference in him the next day comparing the two methods.

I was totally against co-sleeping before I tried it as I have a friend who still has their LO in bed wth her at 18months and her DP in the spare room which I think is a bit much.

MrsCarrot · 24/05/2007 22:50

Hmm, you either go for co-sleeping or you don't, I'm not sure there's much persuasion either way. Personally, I could not cope actually getting up and staying awake to feed. It would kill me. I can barely get up in the mornings {even without babies)! I don't really wake up to feed so I don't feel that tired but there is no doubt that they wake up more, it just depends what you find easiest. The amount of people I know with babies in their beds and dp/h's in the spare room is too many to count but, it doesn't go on for ever, just a lot longer than those not in the bed, some sleeping through at four months, oh envy, envy! There is no 'right' way in this business...
