vinorouge · 23/05/2007 21:12

evening all!!

LaL-hope you're feeling better !!! It is my Dh who is the everton fan which is why we are watching apprentice now and not champions league.

Rgee - you seem to be tipsy quite a lot recently......impressed with your washing tendancies though. Chuckled at thought of Pippa sleeping through the mouse chasing

Wilkie - hope whatever you try to ease J out of his night feeds does the trick.

Must concentrate on apprentice now...

I can offer galaxy by way of refreshements

Wilkie · 23/05/2007 21:14

Canmummy - sounds nasty. How will they get it out. Completely put me off now

PCF - well done on weight loss, that is fantastic. I have absolutely no willpower

Jodie - not bought highchair yet. Hope poor Ethan is better. I could no way tell my mum to f*ck off . I am in the same boat as you re The Apprentice so please don't mention it anyone cos I am gonna watch in on Sunday.

DH - you poor poor thing. Hope your Dad makes a full recovery. I have got the BW book and think that waking an hour before sounds like a good idea but am gonna try the milk first.

EAH/RGEE - very unimpressed that you disappeared off!!!!!!!!!!!!

UD/LTH - have you been eaten?? Or did we suffocate you during the group bear hug?????

Erm - sorry if missed anyone else.

Wilkie · 23/05/2007 21:16

Vino - just read your profile. You could be my twin (tendency/book/film wise - I'm not tall)

canmummy · 23/05/2007 21:21

Wilkie- will need a laparoscopy . It's very rare for this to happen 0.5% I think. Typical for it to happen to me!

Vino - pass me some galaxy to go with my glass of champagne

vinorouge · 23/05/2007 21:33

Canmummy - we'll do a swop choc for champers mmmm I can almost taste it

Wilkie - seems ages since I wrote my profile and my pc won't let me view it, let alone anyone elses.

My mum got a bargain yesterday - an M&P 3 wheeler for 40 quid 2nd hand,it's in great condition and perfect for her to have at her house.

Dragonhart · 23/05/2007 21:41

Canmummy - thought it would be a case of opening your legs to get it out. Poor you.

Vino - How tall?

vinorouge · 23/05/2007 21:42

Dh - I'm just under 6 foot, about 1.80m - don't know whether you're metric or imperial

Dragonhart · 23/05/2007 21:44

We are twins in height then. Bugger to get clothes isnt it?

vinorouge · 23/05/2007 21:46

Too right! Especially trousers. My LO looks as though she'll be tall too cos she has a long body already.

Dragonhart · 23/05/2007 21:50

Same with Ruth. Even though she is so light and below the 9th centile in weight, she is too long for her 3-6month sleepsuits. They are really bagy on her but tight at the toes. She is going to be a 6ft stunner! I would say model but would rather she used her brain really.

Dragonhart · 23/05/2007 21:52

Put some new pics on. Love the one of Ruth smiling (but yes, I am biased!)

JodieG1 · 23/05/2007 22:40

Ethan's been in 6-9 month babygrows for ages now and I'm just getting the 9-12 month ones out to wash as he needs to be in them really, even the bodysuit ones without legs. He's big and also long as he is at the end of them now. Not sure where he gets it from as I'm 5ft 3 and dh is 5ft 8

JodieG1 · 23/05/2007 22:41

Lovely pics DH Need to put some more new ones on myself.

Wilkie · 24/05/2007 08:08

WHOO!!!!! He slept through from 6.30pm-6.30am. Maybe he heard me talking to the HV????

Feel like a different person this morning I'm not expecting it to happen again tonight but am really chuffed he managed it last night - plus when he woke up he wasn't 'starving' so I now more certain that 3am is a habit waking rather than 'need'.

Off to the ILs today as they have just got back from a 10 day holiday and are desperate to see the little man.

Wilkie · 24/05/2007 08:09

DH - gorgeous pics BTW. She is so cute

MrsCarrot · 24/05/2007 08:24

Morning! I think I woke up a lot so don't know why I sound so perky, dh and lo are still asleep and it's quite peaceful, the others are munching crumpets on the sofa.

Vino - I LOVE champagne, and it's practically good for you being the lowest fat drink shame the wallet gets thinner too eh...

Dragon- lovely photo of Ruth. Hope you're coping ok with cristening plans, allergic reactions etc, and that you're not too stressed. Prostrate cancer has a fantastic recovery rate if caught early doesn't it? My bf hsband had it at 31, very worrying, but he's fine now

Canmummy- sorry to hear about yur coil I had a laparoscopy once when they thought ds1 was ectopic, in fact I went on to have the full surgery as they thought they saw it on the tube but it was something else. I have a little smile shaped scar round my belly button now, I quite like it in a weird way. Good luck with it.

UD and LTH, we are wondering where you are, helllooo?

Wilkie- Hope things were ok for you last night. Did you begin to reduce the milk? I know a lot of people who cut down the scoops so it became not worth waking up for water iyswim, maybe that will work for you. It must be hard actually getting up to give a bottle, I think I only feel human as he's next to me and I don't really wake up. Everyone has to do what's best for them. We could all send cyber lullabies at the dreamfeed, 'sleep liitle J, tra la...'

EAH- Am I right in thinking that your LO sleeps right through, very

PCF -good lucking with your invitations/seating plans etc. God that bit was stressful!! The blackmail has started already? Oh dear, well, just think how lovely it will be to get married despite all the worries. I love it!

Laughalot- Oh dear, are you feeling better? I hate, let me repeat, HATE getting stomach bugs, not that anyone likes them but I have a bit of a phobia. Someone says they were ill last month, and I find a reason not to go for coffee, just in case the bug is lurking around the air! I have had to have cbt for it actually, almost didn't go out at one point in case I caught something

Jodie- Poor Ethan! I have actually swore at my mum before, to my shame, in fact I'm always upsetting her, but she is intensely annoying.

Morning Lizz and RGee, F waking up so run out of time, sory if I forgot anyone...

MrsCarrot · 24/05/2007 08:25

Oooh, Wilkie, lucky you Hurray for little J.

RGee · 24/05/2007 08:31

Morning all!

Ohh Canmummy - a week til your hols and on a plane? Where you going? Now this coil business sounds quite unpleasant. I'm trying not to imagine where it has got to!!

LaL - how's the 'ring sting' this morning? Hope you're better.

Dragon - wow! A lot going on. Really sorry to hear about your dad, but echo others in at least it was caught early. Poor Luke too - do you know what caused it? I presume there's so many things in the garden it could've been. When is Ruth's christening? At least that's a fun event to plan for (hopefully not too stressful, or are other famiy members wanting to 'get involved'?). Loved the photos - but the one of Thomas scared me a bit.....

Hi Jodie! Welcome back. Glad you're feeling better. Poor Ethan with his eye and leg. Your mum must have felt awful doing that to him. It brought back memories of my nail clipping lo's finger

PCF - great news about the weight loss. It's going really well (despite the ridiculous amount of baking on this thread!). Is it time to buy new clothes yet? BTW, tell your mum she can't invite her friends to the wedding as you're inviting all your MN friends and there won't be room for anyone else

Hi Vino - strangely I'm drinking a lot of vinorouge at the minute. Actually, not that strange as we have run out of white wine which is my preferred tipple. And you're right - I have had a bit lately (Be fair though, I haven't drunk v much for a year!). It's probably more noticeable cos I become a bit more chatty after a few drinks to instead of rambling on to DH, I come on here and ramble to you lot. Ha ha aren't you lucky!

Wilkie - couldn't believe it! Those bottles took me a whole hour to do last night...ahem.....

EAH - hope you enjoy the castle today. Did you get the healthy pack up made?

Has anyone had their lo's length measured? I'd love to know (haven't quite managed to get the tape measure out...) but they don't measure it in Leeds. DH is tall, but it's lo's belly that is pushing her to 6-9 month clothes

Any plans for the Bank Holiday weekend? We've friends coming to stay and cricket action. DH is off to the cricket tomorrow then in laws coming on Saturday so I'm off to the cricket too (and will no doubt get v v drunk - first non work related day away).

Have a good day today.

RGee · 24/05/2007 08:33

Hello Wilkie and Carrot

Hurrah!!! Well done little J!!! Keep it up!

Carrot - I lurrvvve crumpets!! Prob more than champagne.

JodieG1 · 24/05/2007 08:34

Wilki - well done J

Morning MrsCarrot

I've been up since 6.30, feeding before then though and then got up. Was up feeding about 4-5 times in the night as usual but I feel ok this morning. I've already hoovered, done dishwasher, put a load of washng on, dusted the living room and dining room, mopped downstairs toilet, kitchen, upstairs bathroom and 1 ensuite floors, cleaned downstairs toilet, bathroom and 1 ensuite and now just need to give the kitchen a once over. Can't believe I got all that done lol. Oh and got dd ready for school and did her packed lunch and cooked scrambled eggs and toast for breaskfast Must be somethigni wrong with me hehe. It's a lovely sunny day here though so I always feel better waking up to that.

JodieG1 · 24/05/2007 08:35

Morning Rgee, crossed posts there.

Lizzzombie · 24/05/2007 08:40

Good morning everyone! Our computer has been out of action for a couple of days. But I am back now.
Hope everyone is feeling better after various illnesses, and refreshed after lots of sleep.
I feel out of the loop re. the apprentice. Havent seen any of it as it clashes with Grand Designs. Although last night I got a double bill of Ugly Betty, which I love. We are off to Abergavenny on Friday for the weekend so I will miss it then. I love that program! It makes me want to be evil! (even eviler than usual)

Jodie - new house (which we are hopefully signing contract tomorrow on!) is off of Seaside, near the town centre.
PCF - where is the venue you are getting married in? Post the link if there is one! I want to be nosy...and dresses...what are you wearing?
Galmum - where are you? And how is your house buying going?
Carrott - I will miss some parts of Hove and Brighton. But I will not miss, the junkies, the beggars, the dirtiness, the drunken yobs, the overly trendy students, the tourists, the londoners buying up any cheap property, the stupidly expensive coffee shops....the expensive parking charges, the expensive bus fares, the dirty beaches...um, can't think of anything else negative!

Lizzzombie · 24/05/2007 08:42

Rgee- have you seen that new red Argentian in Tescos for £2.50 It is F**KING LUSH. I recommend it, its terribly good, and rather gorgeous!
