Morning all - new thread as the old one's about to hit the 1000 posts limit.

Not so great this morning - feel like an egg-bound chicken IYSWIM. Grrr - especially as I managed to avoid it all the way through pregnancy. And not sure if there's anything I can take for it while I'm feeding?

Ooh good heavens I go away for a few hours and we've religion and politics here

Aren't they meant to be the two things you're not meant to discuss?

Although on mn it seems to be antenatal thread titles, and pets

Went to the doctor, she did me the edinburgh test which said I had moderate depression, but she also said it is too early to test really and she wants me to test again at six weeks when Bertie & I have steadied a bit. She agrees I should keep seeing the lll woman until I'm sure I have bfing cracked.

You know, Bertie has been crying a lot less today, I've hardly changed anything I'm doing, I just feel more relaxed about it all! How strange! I'm sure one of you said that to me actually, or maybe it was someone on the other thread.

Anyway I'm off to have a glass of wine while dh plays with Bertie. Hope you all have a good evening!

DollyPopsOut · 09/05/2007 19:15

BCG offered here as SE London has high TB count because of make up of population so children are more at risk - unless they are on the waiting list for catch up of course, in which case they will be fine [sceptical]

i have the p and t buggy but the side by side one. It is a dream to drive and lovely looking as well. Which colour are you getting Foxy? And what do you have blonde? We have navy here - dull but elegant . When DD1 had her birthday party the hall looked like a P and T convention as there were 4 of them crammed in! Small they aint but wonderful and worth the ££££.

The good folk of Chichester did not collapse with horror at the sight of my norkage on display feeding DD2 today. As we predicted. DD2 has been all smiles and many people came over for a look at her (or maybe they were hoping to catch a glimpse of boobage !) It was absolutely fine and great to see my mum again.

Done DD1's bath and she is in bed. Now to do DD2 and then a glass of wine in front of the apprentice I think. Hope you all have good evenings and restful nights XXX

foxcub · 09/05/2007 20:01

oh everyone has a glass of wine except me!

pass the chardonnay please!!!

Lunar thanx for the link

Mossie - cheers! - glad you are on the road to happy feeding now

Dolly - I like the red one (yeah, I know everyone has the red one...)

foxcub · 09/05/2007 20:17

Have just ordered the Phil and Teds red sport with a charcoal hang bag/belt for me keys/purse and bits

oooh - this is the first purchase for Monti (apart from a breast pump, which doesn't really count as "shopping" does it?) - am really excited now!

Cunning plan is to dispose of the bendy bus at the school fair on this Sunday

Rosylily · 09/05/2007 20:33

ooh how exciting fox! my double buggy isemmaljunga

I had to get a root filling feel really gratefull to my dentist and my dad for minding beasties.

foxcub · 09/05/2007 20:38

That looks really funky Rosy..

glad your tooth is sorted

ooops - Monti calls - must try and get an early night tonight !!

Rosylily · 09/05/2007 20:41

The blonde hasan got the bcg because we go to Pakistan and dh has had tb.

I haven't got any wine either and I could go some too.

Mossy sounds like things are getting easier for you now...hope so!

Rosylily · 09/05/2007 20:45

Fox it is really funky and was a bargain but it is humungous when folded down...it needs it's own car

divastrop · 09/05/2007 20:49

im having a glass of lambrini.i'm dead common,me.

does anyone know where i can get a phil+teds for a tenner?the double buggy i have is ok,but one of the screws fell out a couple of weeks ago(probably something to do with me putting too much shopping under it and ds2 sitting in it for a laugh)and now im constantly worried its going to fall apart, not that i distrust dp's ability to use a screwdriver or anything

hes in a mood cos tiscali have put a block on online games at peak internet times.we are changing ISP.

mossy-im sure you will be back to your usual, bubbly self once you crack the bf.babies do pick up on stress.actually, older children do as well, then behave like little s**ts on purpose.

rosy-glad you got your tooth sorted.

TheBlonde · 09/05/2007 20:50

Rosy - which Emmaj do you have? They are everywhere in Sweden

Dolly - I am intrigued with the BCG as my mate in Surrey babies got it at birth. We live on the edge of Lambeth and I think they offer it. No sign of it in Wandsworth though

Fox/Dolly - I have the P&T in Black, I bought the skip hop saddlebag to go with it. Someone at nursery has the hangbag and it looks good.

We are supposed to be booze free here (DH has liver issues) but we have been on the wine with MIL visit. I might have a shandy tonight or a 2% beer

divastrop · 09/05/2007 20:52

babies dont get the bcg here.

sazzybee · 09/05/2007 21:17

I can get the BCG in Camden but I have to go somewhere special. Should I bother?

Elliot had his 8 week jabs today and he SCREAMED. I felt awful as I couldn't figure out why he was so unhappy when I was feeding him after until I changed him and I realised his leg was all red and swollen and I'd been pressing it against me. Bad mummy

He now weighs over 11 pounds - finally out of first size nappies

I too have a glass of wine

sazzybee · 09/05/2007 21:18

forgot to say - diva - thanks for info re massage. Will start doing it just on his tummy and see if I get happier results

divastrop · 09/05/2007 21:25

sazzy-youre welcome.IME boys scream louder when they get jabs...male=lower pain threshold

has anybody else seen this thread?it brought a tear to my eye,a happy tear that is

kittyhas6 · 09/05/2007 21:27

Mossy, glad the dr's visit went well and that Bertie is behaving himself. You sound a lot happier. I wish I'd had MN when I had ds1. Actually A computer would have been good.

Foxy, get you with your posh buggy. I can see you now strolling around west london with a "look at me" rather superior look on your face .

Rosy, glad you got the tooth sorted so quickly. I really hate dental probs and tooth ache os just horrid.

Sazzy, I wash Ronnie about three times a week . He's pretty skinny, but still has folds which I'm always discovering and think that probably have not been washed properly! He was weighed today and is 11lb 4oz!!

I too have wine, well I've drunk it actually

kittyhas6 · 09/05/2007 21:29

Diva, dp and i have had cross words, to put it midly. Don't think I'll be contributing to that thread somehow.

morocco · 09/05/2007 21:31

i'm on aldi's own ballycastle, the poor woman's baileys. yummy though
neck creases - wash and dry carefully (!! we get the red marks too in this house) then smother in sudocrem et voila
took em to baby massage today and it was fab, she was so cute about it and loved it. also they did a bit on her front, I havent put her on her front before, but she was ace and can hold her head right back for ages - go emily!

divastrop · 09/05/2007 21:40

i wish i'd has MN when i had ds1!when i look at Elsie,i cant believe i started ds1 on baby rice at the same age(on advice of HV by the way),when i should have just changed his milk.

kitty-if that thread had been started yesterday,i wouldnt have gone near it

are you ok?

kittyhas6 · 09/05/2007 21:52

I'm alright thanks Diva, the prozac is helping alot . How about you?

Rosylily · 09/05/2007 21:53

ooh Morocco sounds like a delicious beverage! and how lovely the massage sounded.

the blonde my buggy looks like the twin cerox but with no zip on the hood. Mines probably an older version it was reduced from 900euros to 200euros I got it a couple of years ago.
something fell off my single buggy and it is done for. Dh thinks he is going to fix it

Kitty hope you and dp make up. I'm getting on great with dh...he's 500miles away

kittyhas6 · 09/05/2007 21:56

If I drink anything like bailey's it's lethal, I can't stop.
I once had this very alcoholic spirit which tasted like coconut, not like Malibu, it just tasted like coonut and if you put it in a glass of milk you couldn't taste any alcohol at all, that was bkloody lethal as well, fantastic though .

kittyhas6 · 09/05/2007 21:57

God, I'd better go to bed, typos are getting worse by the minute!

kiwibella · 09/05/2007 22:20

what is with that link, Diva????

Kate had the BCG shot - otherwise known as her English Passport - at her 6-week check. Actually, it hasn't welted like we were told it would so maybe she won't have a scar.

I poured a glass of wine earlier but didn't get to drink it. Hubs has poured it down the sink now. Bloomin waste!!

Off to tuck up in bed with the telly and some women seriously happy with their dh's . Wonder what their hubs positive attributes would be . Sweet dreams everyone.

kiwibella · 09/05/2007 22:21

way to go Emily - glad you both enjoyed the baby massage session!!
