Thanx everyone - glad to know its not just me having a nightmare with the jabs (I mean that in the nicest possible way of course...)
Dolly my Mum said the same thing when we went out to lunch when DS1 was a baby!. Whilre we were in the restaurant, this group of really posh Mum's came in. Hey presto, one of them whippped her boob out and started feeding her baby on the next table to us. Five minutes later so did another Mum. People have been BFing all around my Mum for years, without her even noticing ! . It took me months of lecturing her but she is finally supportive of BF now, 6 years later.
I remember visiting my grandad who was 89 (sadly passed away now). My Mum actually said to me "I don't think you'd better feed in front of him - he might be shocked".
Of course pig headed me insisted on feeding in front of him. He didn't bat an eyelid, but after a couple of moments he announced, "its so nice to see you are feedibng your baby yourself. Your Gran BF all her babies!!"
Diva/Morocco - DS1 has had ear infections for weeks before they finally burst and its only then that we've realised. Its very difficult to know whether its just a blip or a major infection sometimes - specially as an infection can develop so quickly.
...well that's my excuse anyway and I'm sticking to it
Likewise when we fed in Church, the priest came up and said it was good to see Mum's BF in the Church - best start in life and all that stuff. Our priest was 76 at the time!
Kitty - Monti has a high pitched barky cough/sneezy thing - I've kind of ignored it but I'd take Ronnie to GP if you are worried. IKWYM about the jabs - not sure I even want the jabs so why do they make it so difficult?
Mossie - how is the feeding going this morning?
I've worked out that if I give Monti a bath about 8-9pm, then feed him (or t'other way round) he sleeps for 5-6 hours afterwards !! All I have to do now is make myself retire at 9pm each night, instead of mumsnetting and watching crap TV!
