Morning all - new thread as the old one's about to hit the 1000 posts limit.

Not so great this morning - feel like an egg-bound chicken IYSWIM. Grrr - especially as I managed to avoid it all the way through pregnancy. And not sure if there's anything I can take for it while I'm feeding?

OP posts:

hope i don't sound up myself re below and the mums/ weeing in the street but i can't help thinking kids shouldn't do that-

TheBlonde · 02/05/2007 16:18

Leo - nice to hear from you

Fox - the boob is still bad but I have an appt with a bf counsellor tomorrow afternoon
Saw the GP yesterday who prescribed Kamillosan (which I don't like) but I wasn't feeling up to arguing with her

Sazzy - I used to go to M&B groups but once the baby became a toddler I hated them.

Feeling exhausted now and should sleep as both children are napping
Had a good night's rest but have had a mate and her kiddie over today which was quite tiring
But we did have a nice lunch out and the kids were very well behaved

I have realised that I am really missing lunches out - I went out quite a lot when DS was a baby but with a toddler it isn't very relaxing!

divastrop · 02/05/2007 16:48

muppet-nice to hear from you.sorry things havent been going too good, but do feel free to moan on here if it will help atall.

sponge- at the weeing in the street.i live in a very not posh town and ive never seen such a thing.maybe a toddler weeing in a back street, out of sight, which is fair enough IMO as when theyre first potty trained they cant hold it very long.but a 5 year old?

fox-WELL DONE!!

some of those t-shirts are funny but a few were just plain sick.
have you seen that theres another thread moaning about an ante-natal thread title?i dont know what those lot would make of those t-shirts

divastrop · 02/05/2007 16:53

i used to go to M+B groups but when ds2 turned 2 it just wasnt the same.whats the point in going somewhere all you do is say 'say sorry to x,give the toy back to y' or 'who hit you?'.i really cant be doing with trying to encourage toddlers to 'socialise' and behave like respectable citizens who know right from wrong, its far too stressful.

kittyhas6 · 02/05/2007 17:32

He he foxy, guess you'll be doing links all the time now

Just saying hello and looking forward tp the time when I can chat properly.

Ronnie's doing well with his weight, at 3 1/2 wekks he's 10 lb 10 oz, so at least he's gaining weight and is on the 91st centile thing even though he's still dead skinny, can't work it out

foxcub · 02/05/2007 18:21

Diva - IKWYM about those t shirts

Mossy didn't get the text from you. My No is 07902-208-830

Mossie · 02/05/2007 19:57

Foxy I texted you... will try again!

Sazzy I can't email you the mp3's I tried but they're too big, so if you let me have your address I will burn a few CDs and send them in the post!

Muppet so nice to hear from you it's been a while, sorry things aren't so well, do have a moan though I haven't shut up moaning tbh, it's great to know I'm not the only one!

Right off now to eat tea, mil is quietening Bertie!

sazzybee · 02/05/2007 21:33

Fab - thanks mossie

Well it took me nearly 2 hours to get elliot to go to sleep tonight - serves me right for being so smug

I just hope he lets me sleep for more than a couple of hours at a time ...

muppet - this is the place to moan!

it's interesting to hear everyone's views on those mother and baby groups - thanks

kiwibella · 02/05/2007 21:36

yay Foxy!! Those t's are real bad tho

The Daid and Goliath ones are cute.

divastrop · 02/05/2007 21:41

sazzy-snap.Elsie is very unsettled tonight.shes normally asleep by 8.30/9pm

Rosylily · 02/05/2007 22:06

Foxy brilliant! And your links are really funny Now you have a whole new dimension up your sleeve!

Shanks the photos are absolutely gorgeous. Isn't Deanna so pretty! aww.

Must go to bed, all the beasties are sleeping and I can hardly see, I'm a bit of a wreck!

eidsvold · 02/05/2007 22:47

foxy it is called specially methylated spirit - get it from the chemists.

dh back tonight - yeh... have coped but boy is it helpful to have someone to do dds dinner whilst i am feeding dd3. had a much better night last night. dd1 had some tears at bedtime for daddy again but then this morning when i ran down the day and finished with getting daddy from the airport - dd1 kept saying no daddy!!

dd2 is excited that she gets to go out when it is dark

have taken dd1 to playgroup ( m & b )for a while when we lived in the UK and then we went to one here for children with sn - made a good friend at that one. now take dd2 to playgroup - she loves it - but it is very structured and so only a short time of mad play for kids to get into mischief.

eidsvold · 03/05/2007 03:22

mossie

we have one of these - had it for dd2 as well - worked wonders for soothing babies. often dd3 will prefer to sleep in this rather than her moses basket

here

even the other 2 like sitting in it. you can mumsnet and rock it with one foot soothing them to sleep.

foxcub · 03/05/2007 07:00

Thanx for that Eids - will try some Meths - hey isn't that what alcoholic bums drink on the street??? - hmmmm, coild have another use too

Kiwi - love that T shirt

well Monti woke me at 5.15am and now its time to get dressed....

foxcub · 03/05/2007 07:02

hey have a look at the nurse in link everyone. anyone up for it apart from sazzy and I?

mossie - got a text - will check later if its yours

kiwibella · 03/05/2007 08:05

oowwww... Kate fed two hourly during the night!! I am so not used to that !! Hubs is away o'night too so I hope these girlies are a breeze today (famous last words).

I haven't the nurse-in thread completely but is it planned for Saturday 19th?? I'll be there .

shanks313 · 03/05/2007 09:29

Hi

We had a record breaking sleep from Deanna last night 9pm to 6.15am

We fed her at 6.15 pm then she was unsettled till 9 and never woke for her normal bottle at 10ish.
Although I didnt get much sleep because I kept gettng up to check she was okay lol

Rosylily · 03/05/2007 09:57

Shanks Hasan slept for longer stints last night and I slept like shit, lying awake waiting for him to wake up! 9pm to 6am though wow!

kittyhas6 · 03/05/2007 10:06

Yeah I think Ronnie slept a little longer too. Only fed three times between 11pm and 5.30 am, which is great for him. He's also just started to fall asleep SOMETIMES by himself without boob and SOMETIMES he will lie awake WITHOUT screaming the house down.
He's 3 1/2 weeks so maybe we are starting , very slowly, to turn a corner .

The breast feeding thing sounds great. I would have given it support but for my hoards of monkeys.

foxcub · 03/05/2007 10:29

kitty - monti still feeds 3 times a night - last night it was

8pm
12 midnight
3am
5am

1 handed typing here....

sazzybee · 03/05/2007 10:29

Nearly 4 hours of uninterrupted sleep - thank god!!!

I feel like a different person.

foxcub · 03/05/2007 10:36

Monti now wants feeding every 2.5 hours and is huge

had post natel check this morning and have had my piles refrrred to bottom doctor for zapping

must go - feed due

Mossie · 03/05/2007 10:38

Kitty don't forget that you and I have the youngest babies on this thread (I had forgotten!) so all these bundles that are sleeping through the night will be Ronnie and Bertie soon enough!

Have finally got Bertie settled for his daytime nap after an hour and a half of singing baa baa black sheep to him and patting his bum! Last night he slept quite well, he just takes so long to settle is all...

Eids you are awful tempting me with all these wonderful products does sound good though... also I am considering a baby dream machine like the one on dragon's den, anyone any experience of these?

I'm so glad it's not just me who obsesses about sleep patterns!

Shanks... can't believe Deanna slept so long, that's amazing! I hope she keeps it up for you!

Right off to put some washing on if Bertie will stay quiet... getting him weighed later on today, let's hope he's put weight on

kiwibella · 03/05/2007 10:44

yeah, Shanks - that is the funniest thing when these littlies change their patterns and we lay there listening carefully!

Leoladyofleisure · 03/05/2007 10:47

Kitty there have been 2 nights where the dts only woke up once between 11.30 and 7 but usually they are also feeding at least 3 times a night each usually on a good night it will be 11.30, 1.30, 4, 7 on a more normal night it will be 11.30, 1.30, 3.30, 5.30 and 7 -ish, last night i had Leo attached tome the whole night as he has a fever poor darling and was whimpering and crying everytime he was detached from me !

Anyone else got farting monsters for babies? Its unbelievable the noises my two angels can make ! I know when they are going to wake up from a sleep as they start grunting and farting a few minutes before!
