grannyc, we muat meet up someti8me - i keep wondering if you're ever the person in the queue behind me in mothercare .
pink - how's the foot today?
BHM - enjoy your holidays

am feeling much better today myself, but dd has conjunctivitis. we were able to take her to the docs last night (oh, the joys of private medicine, not that we have a choice here but at least, as you have to pay, there is no problwem getting an appt)so it is being treated and nursery said that as long as we have strated treatment, they would take her. phew! busy week for us with speaking exams for gcse etc so would not have been popular taking time off!

olivo · 25/04/2007 09:05

oops, apologies for my typing. still not very awake!!

PinkTulips · 25/04/2007 12:45

bad sprain apparently. am all strapped up but the cheapskates didn't give me crutches so am no better off than if i hadn't gone really. apparently i can 'walk on it as allowed by pain' and i'm to keep it rested that's helpful with 2 kids!

hope your friend is ok after the cs booby. so you'll be joining nbg soon in providing a little brother or sister for our august babies! wow, good luck!

Morning all

Saw all the pics of your lovely little ones, decided it was high time I did a profile and showed you my two!

nbg - can't believe your ds's hair! Makes him look like a toddler - so much more grown up than my baby baby. I saw your thread on whether to cut his hair or not, and I know what you mean about not minding people thinking he's a girl. I think my own dd looks quite boyish at times, so I'm never offended if people think she's a boy.

Which others have I not seen before? - ah -
burstingbug - your two are delightful! Lovely big eyes!

Pinky - isn't this the second time you've done something to your foot/leg recently? Hope it gets better soon!

BHM - hope you enjoy Cornwall - my FIL lives down there, it's a lovely part of the world.

I'm very of all of you who are going off on holiday - looks like we won't be getting away (again) this year because of our house move, which is going quite well. All the surveys have been done down the chain, we're seeing solicitor tomorrow and visiting 2 possible new schools for ds, both of which have places for September!

BigHotMama · 26/04/2007 10:56

Hiya everyone thought I'd quickly pop on while ds is asleep and before the mad rush of packing for out jollys tomorrow.

Well Jackson hasnt really got 100% better yet still has bad diarhoea and sometimes sicking all his food back up so something is not right and I've got him booked for a docs appointment today as I'm worried is wasnt just a 24 hr thing? He has been off his milk which just isnt like him and is sleeping a lot poor love. I have to bath him twice a day at mo as poo everywhere, I keep hearing his stomach making bubbling noises after eating/drining? Surely this cant be teething now after 5 days?

Hoppybird you two are gorgeous and how funny matching positions in the pictures? I dont think they look alike though?

Booby I'm up for a meet up hun, just let me know when your free and we could arrange something halfway for both of us? Good luck ongetting pg, I've just had the biggest ovualtion period of my life, it lasted days and have felt really crampy, I know its tmi but I had to keep showing DH the proof as it was unbelieveably thick and gungey, never seen it like that before

Well hope your all well and have good birthday Snowboo and I'll hope to speak to you all next week after my weeks break and I hear the weather is gonna be gorgeous so hope to get a bit of a tan

x

hoppybird · 26/04/2007 11:16

BHM - you don't think they're alike? maybe they need to be seen in real life - everyone comments how much they look like each other and dh, although I can see some of meme in ds - have bravely added pic of myself too now!

Hope you can sort out Jackson before your hols vomiting sounds like a virus, but it could be exacerbated by teething - poor baby! It's so sad when they're ill.

hoppybird · 26/04/2007 11:18

meme? d'oh I meant "me"

PinkTulips · 26/04/2007 11:42

ok, if your sick of my whinging just skip to the second paragraph as i need a bit of a whine first. Caleb has D&V... i got woken up at 4 am by him vomiting ALL OVER ME he'd also vomited in his cot before that but being the dozy cow that i am at 2am when i picked him up i didn't notice he also has diorhea that's like acid liquid and just seeped straight through his nappy all over his wool nappy pants so on top of the massive build up of washing from the last few days i have about 3 loads of bedsheeets and a wool wash to do. Not only that but dp and i are sick with it too, i've been throwing up all morning and have a thumping headache and dp isn't far behind me. the house is a stinking mess and it doesn't look like any of us are up to doing much today!

on the plus side i can put alittle weight on my foot today and Caleb seems to be cheerful enough considering

BHM, poor jackson. it does sound like he has a nasty bug poor sausage. i hope he's feeling better before your holiday

Hoppy your kids are adorable. your ds looks much older than 6! they do look quite alike i think, especially when you see the bottom pic of your dd. that's good news about the house move, i'll keep my fingers crossed for you

NBG, how does his hair not drive you round the twist though? dd's was really long at that age too but she's a girl so we could tie it back and clip it, you can't really do that with ellis can you? brushing it still drivesme round the twist!

olivo · 26/04/2007 12:04

aw, the poor babes with their d and v - hope they are better soon (and you too Pink!)

I am as i appear to have caught dd's conjunctivitis - it was one of my students who pointed it out to me. grrrr, going to have to wear my glasses instead of my contacts, - i HATE glasses . have been in a foul mood all da yas it is.

am excited though as i am going back to my sign language class tonight. i did it for about a year then stopped when i was pg as it was too long a day to do it after work. hope i remember it!!

olivo · 26/04/2007 16:49

and now my eyes are a total state
AND I'VE KILLED THE THREAD!!!!

sarahlou1uk · 26/04/2007 17:51

Olivo - I know what you're going through. Each time either ds or dd have itchy yellow gunk filled eyes, I start panicking! I wear extended wear contacts (have them in for a full month without taking them out) and absolutely detest my glasses. I have had the same pair for the past 6 years but my prescription hasn't changed (hoorah!). Without either of them though, I am as blind as the proverbial bat (-10 in left eye!). The last time I caught it off dd I was in glasses for 2 weeks! It was the worst 2 weeks (so far) of my life.

By the way, you haven't killed the thread! .

Molly now has 6 teeth, 5 of which have appeared on her top deck! At last weigh in on Monday, she was 19lb 15oz and 35 weeks. Eating absolutely everything and anything!

How's everyone else doing?

Snowboo · 26/04/2007 21:26

i'm off sick too booby. bloody conjuntivitis has left me looking ike something out of alien . got my sore throat back too and generally fed up. cant believe i havent even managed two full weeks back at work and wish i'd asked to go back part time.sorry, feeling a bit sorry for myself ( only way i'll get any sympathy, dh isnt exactly forthcoming )

lol at your keyboard snow

lunavix · 27/04/2007 10:14

pt - hope foot feels better. I'm v. envious of you in ireland, I'd love to live near you. I dream of Devon too. Kids are lovely btw

nbg - you sound like your coming round to it all glad your dad is feeling better

granny - glad ds's op went well.

olivo - Can't believe you're enjoying work you trooper!

bhm - have fun!

all the talk of conjuncitivus... I get it too and it's urgh. DD gets it too. I hate wearing glasses, much prefer my contacts.

DD is crawling, and got her first tooth sunday (so managed both at 7+ months) I'm quite proud ds was around 10/11 months for crawling, and either 11 or 13 (can't remember ) for teeth She eats everything in sight, and has dropped down to 3 bf a day but one of those is now a bottle ( ) as I need to wean her off bf for when we go away at the end of june. She's put on a ton of weight since weaning, she's now 17lb

I'm going to try to add some pics...

lunavix · 27/04/2007 10:34
