bhm - crossed posts. i'll try and add a new pic of ds tomorrow and now i should go to bed, and what am i doing? mumsnetting

olivo · 24/04/2007 09:01

morning!

granny, glad to hear ds's op went well, you must be worn out.
snow - i know the feeling about dresses - my form at school have got their leavers prom in about 3 weeks and i have to go...and wear a dress!! aaagh! i'm back to a size twelve but my mummy tummy is so wibbly and unattractive. my whole body shape seems to have changed.

still feeling ropey, have got a temp now as well, but have had to come to work. have tried to plan activities that mean the kids can just get on with minimal intervention from moi! i HATE bugs!

BHM, how is jackson today? has that tooth appeared yet? no sign of any of dd's teeth yet, thankfully. couldnt face any restless nights just now!

burstingbug · 24/04/2007 09:16

Morning.
Joe is getting his first tooth - bottom front tooth.
He's being a real pain these past few days to get off to sleep, all he wants to do is bounce crawl and play! Not fun at 22.40! Not sure if its tooth related
He is eating pretty much everything we eat now, gone from the baby mush in jars to almost blw - he had stir fry last night and loved it.
He getting much faster with his crawling and pulling himself up on the furniture.
Re sizes & clothes - I'm down to 10st, not trying to loose weight or anything, its just gone! Monitoring it regularly incase theres an underlying problem. I was in 14-16 before pregnancies, since Joe, I'm in 10s and 12s, having problems locating clothes in my wardrobe that fit me without having at least a 2 inch gap!

Hope everyone else is ok, and lo's. Hope the recovery from the op is going well GQ.

Nbg · 24/04/2007 09:19

Hi everyone

Glad to hear the op was ok Grannycrackers. Is that you on your profile pic? Its a lovely photo.

Olivo, bugs suck. Typical when your at work too.

At least you all dont have to start thinking about buying bloody maternity wear again!
I'm so excited about it.
NOT!

Snowboo · 24/04/2007 09:25

Oh Olivo you poor thing! Can't you get them to see who can sit quiet for the longest? How old are they? Hope you feel better soon x.

Granny, glad to hear all went well with ds. They're such a worry aren't they???

BHM, when i said i'd found size 12 pants, didn't say they fitted lol Will have to get size 16 and hopefully it'll be ok. Oh i remember the days when i was slim. Thats why dh employed me, said my suit skirt did it for him! (it was a mini mind...) And that was only 5 years ago. Oh how we change.

Well i think i'm having a party on Sat. Firstly my neph mentioned he'll see me at my party, then mum last night said she'd better go, need to make spare room up for my friends. When i asked why she then got flustered and said they are staying over in a few weeks time but she won't have time to make the bed up I'm on to them. So she is taking me to Kew Gardens on Sat, then shopping. All very cloak and dagger so far.

Oops, appear to have rambled....sorry!

Nbg · 24/04/2007 10:53

Ouch Pink you ok? Have you got some alcohol in the house? Its a great painkiller (any excuse!)

Olivo, Jackson's 3rd tooth is breaking through, he is much better though today, although he's been sick amd still has runny poo, he's been up and about crawling around shouting and screaming so he's definately on the mend. Its great seeing him vocal again but he's stilll off his milk, only takes about 3-4oz instead of his usual 9oz.
cant wait to see your little dd, bet she's lovely.

Lol Snow at everyone exposing your private party! I'm sure you'll find something gorgeous to wear, I long to be a size 16 again.

Wow NBG how long is Ellis' hair? He look about 2 yo bless him, they look so sweet on the 2nd one together, and are real cuties.

And BBug your two boys are really handsome, dont they look alike? Lovely big eyes.

Ok am getting excited as got 3 more sleeps until our weeks holiday in Cornwall, dreadin packing for 3 though, has anyone got any tips on how to cut down on packing for a baba as my list looks far too big?

burstingbug · 24/04/2007 20:16

Thanks, I still have times where I get tempted to sell them!

Pink, sit down, relax get some frozen peas on your foot and have a glass of something nice.

BHM can't believe Jackson is on his 3rd tooth, I can only just feel Joes 1st one, its not come through today.
I had him weighed today, he's 19lb 6oz.

I wish our holiday was only 3 sleeps away we've got another 3 weeks!

BigHotMama · 24/04/2007 20:26

Well his first two teeth broke through together . They are so sharp too, cant let him bite my finger anymore or it will end up severed lol.

3 weeks is nothing hun, feel like yesterday when dh said it was 6 wks to this friday. Where you off to?

PinkTulips · 24/04/2007 20:27

cold compress was ovetaxed so it's back in the freezer for round 2

neurofen are helping at the moment so i'll be fine

BHM, am very of your holiday! and yours bursting, 3 weeks is still soon enough. you won't know it til you're off

Devon cliffs haven, should be ok. going with bil, sil neice, mil & sfil.

I hope to still breastfeed when the teeth do appear, otherwise he'll be on bottles. He already has a hard gummy bite

PinkTulips · 24/04/2007 20:32

bursting, caleb has 5 teeth and is still bf alot! the trick is if he takes a nip to be very firm, say no quite loudly and take him straight off for a few minutes.

they soon learn not to try it on

BigHotMama · 24/04/2007 20:35

Haven holidays brings back memories as we used to go to place in Devon called challaborough Bay was fab, used to love the party danced at the ned of the night in the clubhouse lol. I'd still do em now.

Pink, I'm very of you living near the beach? You get to holiday all summer

PinkTulips · 24/04/2007 20:37

tis nice BHM, although pointlessa at weekends or during school hols as you can't get near the beaches! they're all down narrow boreens and people park their cars all the way along so you can't get past

OP posts:
burstingbug · 24/04/2007 20:41

Bless, look at your 2 Pink!
I agree its great by the sea - hell with holiday makers, they take over the whole town

BigHotMama · 24/04/2007 21:17

ok, well at least you get the smell of the lovely sea air, I get the smell of grotty canals where I live

grannycrackers · 24/04/2007 23:24

nbg and bursting - lovely pics. i can't find my camera to add new photos. i'll look again tomorow. the wedding one is me, but from 2003! i keep thinking it's recent. olivo, hope you get better soon, and pink, good luck at a&e. i suppose they'll do an x-ray? is a boreen a path? i don't know any irish words although most of my ancestors were irish and my dh's dad. oh, and ds has no teeth yet, but very hard gums.
