Snowboo · 10/04/2007 12:27

Ah booby, just wait til lo is moving then you won't know yourself lol!

Pink, he's had all the symptoms, grizzles, cold, fever but no spots. Just this one spot which hasn't changed and no more have appeared. You never know, yours might be passed by. My niece has twice now, seems she is immune to the pox.

Austin had similar symptoms but just grew another tooth instead!

lunavix · 10/04/2007 20:10

NBG??????

Congrats hun, really. My god though. You okay? haven't seen the thread, this serves me right for only popping on to buy and sell as we were moving house..

lunavix · 10/04/2007 20:15

and where's your thread??

BigHotMama · 10/04/2007 21:09

Hi everyone! Had a great birthday weekend and am totally shattered now! (lol at all the thread killers I'll probbaly be next with this one so wont go on too much!)

Well Jackson is on the move and has started crawling forwards instead of backwards but he keeps crying as he does it so think he's still a bit frustrated? Going to get some safety stuff asap now. Also started saying mamamama, dadada, bababa, and is desperate to have a conversation in bab language lol.

He has a drippy nose like niagra falls and has been really upset all day, wonder if he's getting another tooth? Also has severe seperation anxiety over the last few days so i cant seem to leave the room without him crying his heart out, do they just grow out of this or what?

Booby, your doing so well with WW dont give up chick we can spur each other on! I've started a poa this week with my sis and friend where we are following the WW plan and just ahving a weekly weigh in at our house, I lost 4.5lb this week so am feeling chuffed, just hope I can get 2 stone off for my hols, shopping is a total nightmare being a size 18-20, I much prefer being a 16.

Hope the sickness isnt too bad NBG, cant imagine how your feeling, must feel likje dejavu lol.

Hope everyone else and the babas are good x

purpleturtle · 10/04/2007 21:14

THey do eventually grow out of separation anxiety, but it can take a while. HOpe yours doesn't, bhm.

Elijah is pulling to standing against the sofa, and reaching for any paper he can find - has some kind of seek and destroy mechanism for it.

BigHotMama · 10/04/2007 21:25

Hi PT, its horrible seeing his tears rolling down his face, I feel helpless!

Sounds like Elijah is a right little lad bless!

purpleturtle · 10/04/2007 21:28

I know - and they do those really sad faces that break your heart, too!

We had some professional photos taken last week. Elijah wasn't really playing ball, but we had a few good ones to choose from. The photographer tried to get one of him crawling towards the camera, but he was just crying for me as he came forwards. Then we got one picture of him sitting, tugging his ear, with a single tear rolling down his cheek. too sad. Not having that one.

BigHotMama · 10/04/2007 21:36

Ah bless, its like those old fashioned pictures your nan used to have on the wall with a little boy/girl crying do you remember them? They were sad but a little bit creepy I thought too!
Jackson's face and scalp just goes bright red and he seems to hold his breath when he starts then lets out an almighty scream, gawd knows what the neighbours think lol.

olivo · 11/04/2007 08:21

helloooooo!
congratulations on all these little movers - dd is shuffling backwards and round and round but not forwards or standing yet. have got the stair gates ready on stand by though!
she is loving nursery and even slept in a cot there yesterday afternoon - has to be car or buggy at home . today is the first time they will try feeding her - her key worker has been researching BLW on the internet and says how logical it seems so i'm really confident!

can't believe i'm back to work in less than a week i've been in several times while dd has been at nursery but i'm really nervous.
BHM - dd has a bit of separation anxiety too, but fortunately, not at nursery, as long as i actually pass her over to someone. its when i leave the room - like you, it breaks my heart but she soon forgets about it if i leave her for a couple of minutes with her toys!

ooh, look at my essay! sorry. and thanks for all your support over my bf, i really appreciated it. am feeling better about my decision now; think the hormones are fading!

PinkTulips · 11/04/2007 08:55

caleb can stand on his own! for about 10 seconds bt still... he can do it. definitely going to skip the crawling thing altogether i think

gotta run, late for playschool.... again!

OP posts:
olivo · 11/04/2007 10:19

hurray! well done caleb !

PinkTulips · 11/04/2007 11:36

he's soooo pleased with himself.

he gets so excited when he does it that he squeals in delight!

brilliant that holly is settling in nursery well olivo, you must be so relieved. good news about them being up for the blw too, it is one of those things that people instantly either go 'oh that makes sense' or 'you must be mad!'... lucky for you the key worker is from group A!

bless at elijah's crying photo PT.... poor mite! at least you got a few good ones though.

am very pleased with myself weight wise... i fit back in my pants from before i had sarah! haven't worn them in almost 3 years! just need to tone up a bit and lose a bit morefrom my hips and i'll be good

OP posts:
olivo · 11/04/2007 13:07

aand at your weight PT! i'm relying on being on my feet all day and running around corridors to get my remaining weight off.also, i know its not good but i often dont have time to eat during the day at work so i'll be eating much less than i do picking a things at home. had a sudden penchant for animal biscuits(?!) yesterday and pigged half a box
well, yet another gorgeous day today. dd at nursery till 4 so will take advantage! have a nice day everyone!

PinkTulips · 11/04/2007 13:30

yes it must be pointed out that the main reason for my weight loss is the fact that we're so broke we're existing on pasta and rice and can only afford one pack of cheap aldi chocolte bars a week!

OP posts:
Nbg · 11/04/2007 15:52

Hi everyone.

It seems like they're all off for this movement lark.
Ellis pulled himself up onto my aunties sofa on Sunday but hasnt done it since. He's still not sure about the crawling though. I dont think he's got enough strength just yet but he's giving all the signs.

My mums witnessed first hand today how hard it is to spoon feed him and sees now why I'm BLW. He's going to be weighed on Friday so I hope that he hasnt dropped another centile. Although I dont actually know what they expect me to do if he has.

BigHotMama · 11/04/2007 19:43

Hi ladies, hope your all well

Looks like one way or another the babas want to get up or move somehow lol, its funny seeing Jackson going forward I'm just not used to it yet? He stops halfway and has a sit down like he's having a lil rest.

We have booked the date for the christening 3rd June so excited, got lots to organise now and havent got a clue what he will wear? Any ideas as I only see adorable outfits for little girls? Definately wont be having him in a sailors outfit, maybe a linen suit or something? Any ideas?

Talking of christenings, I did something really silly today. I received a christening invite through the post addressed to me, I hadnt got a clue who they were or even heard of this baby called Charlie Thomas??? Was racking my brain as the venue was Cheshire amd I dont even know anyone who lives there....then after 20 minutes of wondering how the hell they knew us and our names and address,it suddenly clicked... it was a sample I ordered from an invitation website...Oh did we laugh our heads off! Felt a bit though

Bought a quinny buzz today in gorgeous aqua colour, cant believe how light it is, will be great for our hols.

Olivo, am sure you will be ok with work, its always going to be hard for the first week or so but you'll settle in sooner than you think and its great Holly is enjoying nursery, makes it more easier for you.

Oooh I think I've ranted again oops!

purpleturtle · 11/04/2007 19:45

LOL at your sample invitation!

BigHotMama · 11/04/2007 20:01

PT, my dh cant wait to tell everybody as he can embarass me lol.

olivo · 11/04/2007 20:41

lol BHM

Snowboo · 11/04/2007 20:54

BHM thats priceless! PMSL! Just made a bad day seem better. Thanks x

PinkTulips · 12/04/2007 11:15

what's up Snow? why a bad day?

OP posts:
Snowboo · 12/04/2007 19:51

Had friends baby who cried all day long, my little cherub smashed a bottle of wine/pulled clothes horse onto himself/pulled ironing board out/emptied all the cupboards/knocked bin over, spilling old curry sauce everywhere and bit me. Turns out friend has never tried to give baby a bottle, just thought she'd let me struggle and he gets carried everywhere at home! Grrrrr.

Much better day today. Am off to see my sis at the weekend so some sea air will clear the cobwebs i hope. Leaving dh to get on with the odd jobs you just can't do with kids about.

Will catch up with everyones news at some point, i promise
