When is Charlotte Church due? I just goggled her - mind you she looks like someone who is pregnant ie a bit fat everywhere, rather than a celeb who just gets a beachball attached to their tum. But I don't wear skimpy clothes or bikkinis for that reason - they do not suit my enlarging tits and thighs (no idea why my thighs get bigger but they do - amybe to support my new weight!)

cazzybabs · 22/04/2007 18:38

oh god sorry - don't know what I am doing on here...clicked on the wrong thread ...sorry! CBs backs out carefully.......

PinkTulips · 22/04/2007 20:51

lol cazzybabs

dreamy, great to see you back and fantastic to hear your dd is gettting on ok so far with her preg.... poor thing though, she'll be heavy over the summer and it looks like it'll be a hot one!

BHM, i'd also be very careful with anything fishy. maybe try him on some fresh fish instead? it could just be a bug though, there's tonnes of them going around. if he's got diorhea and vomiting try and keep him on just milk and very plain foods for a few days... think bananas and bread are recommended iirc.

BigHotMama · 22/04/2007 22:17

Well he's in bed now and slept most the day, did 3 diarhoea nappys in one hour poor thing, hasnt vomitted since this morning though thankfully, I definately think its some sort of bug as my sister's dp had it few days ago and has was in contact with him yesterday. I hope he's ok in the morning if not am going to ring the docs as his temp went up to almost 100 earlier have been giving him plenty of water and he managed to eat a banana and few soldiers of toast. I hate seeing him like this, feel so helpless, got quite tearful earlier thinking horrible thoughts that it may be something more serious? (paranoid or what?)

Nbg · 23/04/2007 07:39

BHM, hows he doing today? If he's still not right or got a temp I would go to the Dr's.
If he didnt have the temp I would have been tempted to say it was the fish but you dont normally get a temp with a food reaction.

Thanks Dreamy. Tbh I'm not really freaking out about having the 3 kids, its being pg all over again and doing that with Ellis and M.
I think when it comes to getting dd to school that will be a bit of a nightmare but I'm sure we'll get there.

Talking about food. Ellis had a reaction to Cheese yesterday. Not the first time but I wasnt sure before. He just pukes it back up again and doesnt stop till its all out.
I'm not sure now whether to avoid other dairy things as a result.

PinkTulips · 23/04/2007 09:38

do nbg. best to keep him off all dairy and hope he grows out of it (most do) than to risk him being sick

dd's dietician told me that reflux in a baby can often be linked to allergies so it's possible he's been reacting ll along, might be worth asking the doctor for a cows milk free formula to try him on and see if it improves things?

BigHotMama · 23/04/2007 11:41

Well he seems better in himself and his temp is around 35c so has come down. He managed 7oz of milk this morning but shortly after his readybrek and banana I heard him filling his pants with diarhoea again, it leaked through his pj's and down the highchair onto the carpet and all down his legs poor love, I put him straight into the bath and cleaned him up, I now stink of shit and need a shower myself. I think its some sort of bug as lots going around at the moment and he had fever too which apparently is your body's way of fighting it, so will just keep him hydrated with water and maybe try a banana later on. At least he's not been sick since yesterday morning. If not better by tomorrow morning I'll be straight up the docs. Thanks for asking NBG x

Nbg · 23/04/2007 11:43

Oh I ma glad to hear BHM.
Got me a bit worried when I read your post.

FWIW, ellis had terrible diorreah last week and suprise, his top tooth has come through.

BigHotMama · 23/04/2007 11:44

Ohmygod Jackson's top tooth is coming through too? Could that explain it you reckon?

Nbg · 23/04/2007 11:44

Ahhhh there you go

Its the acid it produces and causes them all sorts of trouble. He had nappy rash too.

BigHotMama · 23/04/2007 11:46

I actually told DH yesterday it could be teething but he was having none of it lol, I noticed the tooth friday but its just breaking through, he wasnt like this with his last 2 teeth though?

Nbg · 23/04/2007 13:37

Ellis didnt with his bottom two

It must be an awkward boy thing, lol.

dressedupnowheretogo · 23/04/2007 14:02

hi everyone

hello dreamy how its going

poor jackson glad he's better

well been and done hair this morning and id completely forgotten we was going to go on a play date but my friend turned up early otherwise i'd have completely forgot

cj clapped for the first time today and she is making loads more noise its so sweet she kind of has a shriek conversation with you mimicing the noises you make back lol

shes getting so brave re walking she grabs hold of you to stand then makes noises till you help her walk and she gets all excited and lets go of oone of my hands then blows raspberries till you grab her hand again

well i've been having migraines and stomach cramps like mad so i think now cj is only feeding in the morning and evening i may be due my first af since nov 2005 which means i'll be jumping on chris lots in the hope of getting pg as soon as possible so no big gap but im definatly not going back on the pill i ve decided

sorry for the essay glad everyone is wellish

olivo · 23/04/2007 16:16

glad jackson is a bit better BHM.
lol at you not being about return of the AF booby!
i'm having an awful day; feel dreadful, sore throat, swollen glands and cold and achey, as well as generally sorry for myself . sat through it at school, now just wondering how early i can get away with putting dd to bed so i can to bed myself . typically, dh had said he'd treat me to a takeaway tonight and i cant even contemplate eating!!
i knew i shouldnt have gone back to work !!
i'm not even earning enough to pay this months nursery fees ; hd has been great though, paying for most things for the last few weeks.

Snowboo · 23/04/2007 20:36

Olivo the whole of Snowland has had the cold thing. It really is awful when they get it. Hope you feel better soon x.

BHM, hope Jackson is feeling better. And it sounds like Austin also. Apart from the cold he has had all other symptoms. We're all clear but he has an infection in his right ear, same side as the big top tooth that seems to be lurking.

Well its my burfday on Sat. The big 3-0 and i've not a stitch to wear. Well i would have if i just stopped eating long enough to squeeeeeeze into it. I tried on a dress and just wanted to cry. Looked terrible. Any ideas on a decent non hip hugging size 16 dress i can buy on the high street? Have now looked everywhere..... Need something that just skims and makes me look slimmer. If thats poss! Any help greatly appreciated!

BigHotMama · 23/04/2007 21:43

Snowboo, I still wear a black maternity dress now as its the only dress that fits me at the moment. How about going for a wrap dress? You can wear them over trousers too, thats what I'm living in at the moment, oh and I am totall dependant on control pants to pull me in too.

Must be a 'big tooth coming through boy thing' then? lol, Jackson was up to his usual tricks earlier, screaming and shouting dadada so looks like he's on the mend, thanks for all your well wishes.

CJ sounds so cute Booby, bet she's a beauty.

Sorry to hear your feeling rough Olivo, all them bugs going about round schools, my sister is doing a GTP at the moment and says she has never been so ill in all her life lol. Get the lemsips and honey down ya neck girl.

I forgot to tell you all that I went and had a new tattoo done at the weekend on the base of my back, it took an hour to do, hurt a bit and is feeling sore now. Its a black tribal pattern with a bit of henna style thrown in...

Also have lost 6lb over past few weeks, been playing squash, even went for a run earlier and crikey how unfit did i feel had to keep stopping, also had to wear my control pants as my belly just wobbles al over the place like my boobs do when I run, not a pretty sight I tell you.

Oh dear looks like another essay....

Snowboo · 23/04/2007 21:45

Haha BHM, i have a pair of control knickers, squeezed them on then realised they're a size 12!!! Now i'm thinking why did i need them if i was a size 12??? Will try out a wrap dress and see if i can hide my wobbly bits. And buy a non maternity bra as dh says it just ain't sexy!!!!

BigHotMama · 23/04/2007 22:20

Size bloody 12? Ok snow, your pants probably fit my arm , you lucky girl.

dreamydowler · 23/04/2007 22:42

lmao at you all worrying about your weight. Im way past worrying. Size 12?? cant remember being that size hehehe

BigHotMama · 23/04/2007 23:10

Ha I'm sure I was a size 10 at the age of 10...remember getting my school uniform for high school and the lady looked disgusted because I was already a size 10...BITCH still haunts me!

grannyquackersleetlefuffychick · 23/04/2007 23:21

hi everyone. just a quick note to say we're back from london. ds had his op on thursday and it's been succesful. it took 2 hours and he was in a state afterwards due to the aneasthetic, not being able to focus his eyes for most of the day. but by the evening he was like his normal self again. all the staff at the evelina hospital were great. i wish they'd put the lights off at night 'though! i haven't really slept since last monday [exhaused emoticon]. he is due to have the stent removed this thursday. have been skimming through all the new messages. bhm your ds is beautiful. snowboo sorry can't see your pics. pink your lo's look full of character. sorry - zombie brain can't remember what everyone's written, just the pics

hoppybird · 23/04/2007 23:22

I finally spent some Christmas vouchers on my first post-preg clothes at the weekend - nice pair of cargo trousers from M&S - I won't say what size as some of you may hate me! Still in a glamour-defying nursing bras though, but at least they're black like my usual underwear.

BHM - poor Jackson - I thought it sounded a bit like teething - my dd suffers badly with her teeth coming through and gets a particularly runny nappy. She also tends to go overboard with 'mmmm-mama-mama' sounds when teething! re: your comments about sitting - dd is nearly getting there balanced herself for around a minute or 2 today. I guess (apart from her teeth), she's developmentally around 2 months behind my ds at the same age - and he was prem! So by my estimation, she'll be starting crawling at 10 months and walking at 14. I'll post pics soon!

Booby - wow at CJ clapping! How cute! Hey, good luck with trying for another one!

NBG - glad your dad will be on the mend.

Snow and Olivo - we've all had that stupid cold here for a few weeks - it seems to hang on for ages, fade away a bit and then come back again. Olivo - can't imagine having to go to work feeling like that. Glad I'm a freelancer - not done much work lately though. I'm a bit behind.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts re my MIL. She'll be undergoing radiotherapy in a couple of weeks for the cancer in her head, and she's been shopping with my SIL for a wig, which she's really pleased with, as she says she's had a lifelong struggle with her hair. Ironic really. [sad smile emoticon].

hoppybird · 23/04/2007 23:27

Hey, granny - glad your ds's op was successful - could you remind me what it was again?

BigHotMama · 23/04/2007 23:38

Oh Granny bet your worn out hun, glad the op went well and send big hugs for your ds and hope he's ok now and you manage to catch up on your sleep

Hoppy, bet your a size 8-10? grrrrrr! Glad your mil is happy with her wig, that must be sooo hard to do knowing your hair is going to fall out and you have to go get a wig? I just cant imagine how that must feel. Good to hear she's atying strong.
Well done to your dd for sitting up cant wait to see your pics.

grannyquackersleetlefuffychick · 23/04/2007 23:42

hi hoppy, i won't say what size i am either - i look slim (as long as the awful jelly belly is hidden)
my ds was diagnosed with a swollen kidney at the 20 week scan and we've been expecting him to need an op. since then. the tube coming out of his right kidney is too narrow so he's had a pyeloplasty. the tube is cut and rejoined on the slant to make it wider and stretched with a stent. i don't think it's that unusual in boys and they don't always need surgery. the danger is that they are prone to kidney infections and long term damage and ultimately kidney failure if it's not treated.
aw, i do go on a bit, don't i?
