girls girls

Ive just come back from the consultant and I am CLEAR. I still am lumpy in the lady lumps , but they are not sinister and dont need surgery right now. I have an appt in Aug for a check , but hes hoping they will have reduced. If they do however get bigger then surgery may be needed.

I dont even feel relieved yet , I think I got myself soo worked up, Im all shaky and need a whisky !!! or 2 or 3.

I braved going on a nursery trip wiht both the girls alone (well I say alone ,there were 2 girls I know with me) , but still. I would never had done that a few months back. It was my 1st trip out also with the girls for weeks since all my crazyness with surgery and dd2 scare started.

anyway thats it for now, Im off to watch dh power spray our new deck ready for staining chocolate. Roll on some hot days so we can use our new garden yeah yeah yeah.

Snowboo · 21/06/2007 21:02

Ah Mels i'm really pleased it was good news. NOW RELAX!!!! Thats an order

Oh where is the summer? I too want to play in my garden as last summer it was far too hot to be pregnant and sunning myself. Felt like a right fat pig! And it was the first summer in our new house with real garden! sO this year i shall be making the most of it....

Olivo, i hope you are feeling better now. And you have made me really think about why i'm getting a job. And its not because i want to. So i've spoken to dh and he is happy for me to stay at home for a while longer. It'll be a struggle but we'll manage somehow. So thankyou for your reality check. Just what i needed!

NBuGgeration · 22/06/2007 07:55

Oh yeah, listen to you all wanting to sun yourselves in your gardens.
No thought for those who are pg!

Snowboo · 22/06/2007 08:09

Oh god Nbg, so sorry!!! Forgot you are going through it again! When is baby due? It might not be that bad this year....

Snowboo · 22/06/2007 08:09

And i can't see any profile to see Ellis with his new haircut!

Nbg · 22/06/2007 08:11

28th November.

Have a look now I've changed my name back.

MonkeyandBabyBoo · 22/06/2007 09:13

Hello ladies. Glad to hear everyone is on the mend.

Feeling a little today as its Emily's first day at nursery. Its the one Jamie used to go to so I know its good and they'll care for her but never left her anywhere other than my mums. Felt weird leaving her.

Anyway, I was wondering where the sun has gone - we stained our decking a few weeks ago and not had chance to use it because of this awful weather.

Snowboo · 22/06/2007 11:07

Oh Nbg he looks absolutely gorgeous!!!! Even more than before if thats possible! Can't believe he has had his first haircut already.... And theres us thinking Austin was due one. I think not now Ds1 didn't get his first one til he was nearly two

Monkey, big hugs to you. But at least you know the nursery so thats a bit of peace of mind for you.

Well just looked out of the window and its black! I think its waiting for school drop off time, its my first time out of the house since my poor ear gave up. Dreading it as i'm still a bit wobbly but Mil is being a cow again. Always does this when dh goes away. Turns into a manipulative old so and so. Normally ok but when he not here i pay the price. And he only left at 6 this morning!!!! Arghhhhhhhhh....

Whats worse, getting wet and catching a cold or putting up with her? Answers on a postcard to: Save Snows Sanity, 26 Headcase Road,Nuttydom, ArghK.

melsy · 22/06/2007 11:20

snowboo , you have got the wickedess soh !!!! Your posts always make me giggle.

Isnt it yuck doing Nursery run when feel shito. Are'nt mils great when being like that , just marvellooooous!

Im exausted today ,but I think some of it is mental as I feel purposeless ? I dont know what to do with myself. I just want to go to sleep on sofa , but I have to watch little action baby who keeps getting into all sorts of mischief round the house.

Snowboo · 22/06/2007 11:33

Ah well at leaast i make someone smile Mels!

Hope you are feeling a bit more with it now hun, you've been thru so much recently and you have coped far better thani ever could!

Right, off to get wet! Catch u all later xx

olivo · 22/06/2007 11:55

lol snow! and good on you for making the decision to leave work a while longer - i'm !!
mels - glad to hear things are better - you've coped so well.
monkey - hugs to you- i know you know emily will be fine but it is so hard, isnt it?
i'm still off work -actually feel fine but still no voice at all- its a lonely little world when you cant talk i have to say. i've been learning sign language for the last few years but people dont seem to be understanding me ; its SO frustrating!!
still gives me a chance to clean the house without dd and dh under my feet!nbg - how are you feeling these days?

olivo · 22/06/2007 12:09

ok, think i have created a profile and have out 2 pics on of my gorgeous girl. have set it so just you lot can see them for now - i think! let me know if it works!!

olivo · 22/06/2007 12:11

oh bum they dont seem to be showing - how dod iget them to show a link for olivos' photos?

MonkeyandBabyBoo · 22/06/2007 13:39

Olivio, your pics are on - your dd is soooooo cute!

rattleskuttle · 22/06/2007 13:40

olivo, i can see your pics. holly is lovely and very strong sitting up on her bike.

melsy, when i feel like i don't know what to do next, i deliberately do as little as possible. if i can i go and lie down and do nothing at all and sooner or later i'll either know what to do next or else just stay resting.

i'm not getting to see mumsnet so much lately as i'm tempted out by the good weather here. we've been busy on the beach, at parks, toddler groups, etc.

snow, tell your mil to behave herself

PinkTulips · 22/06/2007 13:46

aww, she's a cutie olivo! good balance on that trike too

signing lease today..... eek! have begged and borrowed a few bits of furniture but no couch yet.... got a coffee table though

rattleskuttle · 22/06/2007 15:19

pink - when we moved dh got a skip and chucked everything he could in there. he was skip mad. i kept fishing things out but i have to say it made moving easier. we got rid of at least a room full of clutter via the skip and freecycling. are you moving very soon?

Nbg · 22/06/2007 15:29

Awww Olivo shes lovely
First pic I've seen of her.

Snow the haircut was way overdue

Pinky, great news on the lease.
Do you have hospice chairty shops over there? If so they might have a furniture place. You could pick up a sofa for next to nothing.

Snowboo · 22/06/2007 22:18

Olivo, shes a real sweetie! And on her bike as well! Looked very pleased with herself i must say

Pink, well done girl! Shame you're not near me, my neighbour has a sofa shes trying to be rid of but no one wants it! (its nice btw, just a bit squishy)

Well dh wants to come home. Long story but he was in tears to me, made me all upset so i have asked his mate to watch out for him. It will be a long time til Monday!

PinkTulips · 22/06/2007 23:53

no luck with charity shops, freecycle or other free junk sites so will have to shell out for one via buy and sell but it will have to be a week or 2 after we move as we're skint for the next couple of weeks.

rattle... am soooo looking forward to having a major de cliutter. no skip but our apartments have communal bins so can fit loads in there and i have tonnes of crap for charity as well. will be nice to dump the lot of it i must say

olivo · 23/06/2007 07:40

thanks guys - she has brought me so much happiness this week when i've been feelng pretty low, so i felt i had to share her with you! she even made me smile at 5 am when she was hanging out of her cot - she's got the pulling up thing down to a fine art now so we're going to have to drop the cot to the lowest level or she'll be out!!
well, my voice has started to come back - sounding like an eighty-a-day girl right now . should be able to go back to work on monday, i have so much to do!
Pink - i have house envy - i always get when people move - i know its such hard work (i've lived in 15 different houses/flats since i was 18!) but its so exciting and so satisfying to clear out! good luck.

sarahlou1uk · 23/06/2007 09:22

Morning Guys. Thought I'd drop by for a quick update. Olivo - sorry about your voice but glad it's coming back. Pink - house moves - don't get me started. Good luck and hope you settle in great.
Well, it's Molly's christening tomorrow and it looks like the good old British weather is going to be crap for the bar-b-que we have organised . We rushed out yesterday and bought a large party marquee for the guests to shelter under on our back! Hope we don't get any big winds tonight or it might not be there in the morning!

PinkTulips · 24/06/2007 14:21

AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my head is gonna freaking explode in a minute.

who's stupid idea was it to move anyway? we could just stay here, we'd be fine!

BigHotMama · 24/06/2007 16:05

Sounds like your having fun Pink?

NBG, Ellis looks really cute and grown up with his new haircut bless.

Olivo, Holly is a little darling, bet your proud.

Hope weather stays nice for Molly's big day. Its dull here today.

Jackson is making me laugh so much lately, he keeps screwing his nose up and showing his top 4 teeth and then breathing fast up and down his nose. His screaming is deafening us and he has started banging on the walls in his cot so bet the nieghbours are loving him lol.

Melsy great news about your results too! Hope your feeling better now.

And Snowboo, pmsl at your post, is mil driving you bonkers or what?

Monkey am sure Emily will be fine at nursery, bet she will love it.

5 wks and we are off on our holiday i am so excited but fretting about how much to take for ds and what to take.

olivo · 24/06/2007 19:40

BHM - dd does that wrinkling the nose and funny nreathing thing - its hilarious! she used to do it when she was cross, but now she knows it makes us laugh!

sarahlou - did the weather hold out for you? hope so, its peed down here all day, but dd has been very good despite being housebound all afternoon.
