Morning everyone!
welcome Monkey and well done baby boo on crawling - my little dd (Julia, born 18 Aug at a teeny 5lb 2oz) FINALLY managed to crawl yesterday, after a few weeks of non-deliberate twisting and bottom shuffling. And get this - on Sunday, she actually put food in her own mouth! I've also come to the conclusion that is no coincidence that she has just reached 15lb in weight - which appears to be the magic weight when 'things start to happen' (reliable sitting without falling over, self feeding, moving etc). It would have been great to miss out on the spoon feeding, like lots of your babies have done, but I guess tiny babies are so very different in that respect.
We've been so busy - MIL's funeral was a couple of weeks ago - went well, ds look very smart in his black suit and tie, and everyone commented how well both kids behaved, and how nice it was to have them there. dh managed to get most of his mum's stuff into our already bursting loft, but it will be coming down again soon as we're moving in about 6 weeks! ds has a place at a new school and he's really excited - he'll be able to attend for a couple of weeks before they break up for Summer.
Melsy - you're so brave to have faced that op, hope you're better soon, and your poor little dd, as if you didn't have enough to cope with - great idea about the trainee nanny.
Arabica - well done Esja getting on the move! - am I right in thinking she's one of the littler ones?
Olivo - do hope both of you are better soon.
bhm - my ds' school does the sponsored walk for Barnardo's as well. The farm sounds fun! Looking forward to seeing your christening pics - not had my kids 'done' (much to my catholic mum's disapproval) I do like the ceremony though of welcoming a child into the family/community.
booby - I know how you feel, re trying to keep house tidy for viewings. Can't imagine going out to work as well - my dd hasn't ever slept through yet either, and she's got a 5th tooth popping through and is up a few times a night being miserable with it. I'm also still bf thankfully, so she has instant comfort, and goes straight back down (normally) after a feed. We're looking forward to her having her own room though! We think she might sleep better without having to listen to dh's peculiar snores!
oh my word! sorry about the essay. I'll go away for a weeks now.
