evening gals

sooo glad it went ok nbg , what a relief, does it seem any more real now ? You have a cute bump.

hiya Arabica , so nice to see you here, soo glad Esja is doing well, bless her. Any piccies you can put on profile?I may upload some little ones for a little while.

Now I know why I dont come on here much , I just feel I dont do that much to tell , have been on a right funny mardy strange downer ; off sweets , cant face alcohol and just low. Im sitting here listening to Memoirs of Geisha music and I could just sit sobbing all night .

Ive booked in with the lady who did my hypnobirthing/EFT next week and shes gonna see if she can get me ready for my op and may be help calm me down a bit before I sink into depression . She said we can use EFT/hypnotherapy or another quicker technique to help me.I said I may have some more long term issues and she said she doesnt do long term lol, says she likes to sort things pretty quickly, I like the sound of that, not weeks and weeks of wading through things.

Oh and 11 feed is well and truly dropped now.dd2 seems to be gradually making it up in her day feeds as shes having around 20oz still.

Although dont blinkin sleep at night right now, as seem agitated all night, what a treat to get into bed at the same time, 9:15 too !!

yummymummy06 · 18/05/2007 21:10

Hi everyone. This is my first time I have posted, im Nikki. Just wondered if I could join you as Im feeling abit fed up and need some friendly chit chat! I have an 8 month old, Georgina and she is into EVERYTHING! She is crawling and now pulling herself up and today has hit her hear twice from pulling herself up. Im so stressed! I am wondering if I should buy a playpen as I cant leave her for a second. Is anyone else going through the same?

PinkTulips · 18/05/2007 21:22

hi yummymummy

yep, caleb is the same and my dd was as bad at this age, don't worry, once they get a bit better at moving it does get better! i wouldn't bother with a playpen at this stage, if she's at that curious into everything age she'll just get bored and scream after 2 mins. best just to babyproof your house for the next few months til she gets the knack of moving around without pulling things on herself.

i think caleb is hitting the clingy stage badly, everytime i walk away from him he follows me and hangs of my pants leg whinging to be picked up, lol. tis cute if a little annoying

mels, thats great about the hypno woman helping you out... and quickly sounds good too doesn't it! are you getting very nervous about the op now?

melsy · 18/05/2007 21:50

hey pinky

theyre like puppy dogs , dd2 lays her head on my feet werever I am lol.

hi yummymummy06 welcome to the mad room ! I speak for myself of course. Im wondering if 9 mths is quite a normal tired phase all round ?

Ive added some piccies of my two gals ! Dont often so look now , having a proud mummy moment.

PinkTulips · 18/05/2007 22:34

awww bless, dd2 is so big compared to the last photos i saw!

pmsl, dd does that to caleb too, lies with her head on his back when he's on his tummy. she tried to ride him like a horse a couple of times too

OP posts:
melsy · 18/05/2007 22:41

pmsl pinky , whyyyyyyyyyyyyyy do they do that, poor babies !!!

PinkTulips · 18/05/2007 22:43

has dd1 tried picking dd2 up yet?

dd tries it with caleb every now and again... tis very funny as he's almost as heavy as her and they both end up in a heap giggling

OP posts:
melsy · 18/05/2007 22:54

yep lol as she just wouldnt crawl to me to put her into her growbag, I was stuck on the floor (my spd sore again now too fgs), I got dd1 to bring her to me on the floor this evening and lol dd1 was huffing & puffing from the exertion !! dd2 is same size as dd1 was at 12-13 mths !

PinkTulips · 18/05/2007 23:09

that's lovely, the little girls in the other flats love carrying dd around despite the fac that she's not much shorted than them... very funny the way they have to waddle holding her!

poor you with the spd again, has it been back long?

your beginning to sound preg with all those symptoms!

yummymummy06 · 18/05/2007 23:33

Hi. Im back! About to go to bed though. So you think a playpen will be a waste of time? I did wonder. She just doesn't stop, only for her naps! I also have a 4yr old and she tries to pick DD2 up! it's reaaly nice now as they play and DD1 makes DD2 laugh, it's cute.

PinkTulips · 18/05/2007 23:46

yeah, tbh i got loads of use out of the travel cot we use as a playpen when he was little and would lie in there but now he's moving he just climbs up and hangs off the side shouting for someone to get him!

bed sounds like a good idea [yawn] can bet your ass i won't be getting that lie in i've been dropping not so subtle hints about

night lovelies

Hi yummy, god you sound like me! I have a 4 yo ds and a 9month old ds. Ds1 loves carrying ds2 about, ds2 fell down the stairs today as i wasn't watching for a milisecond!! Into everything. He loves emptying bags/boxes/cupboards oh the list is endless!!

Mels, the pics are lovely, dd2 is soo big now! Sorry to hear about the spd. hope it goes soon x

nbg, glad scan went ok. now take it easy!!!!

Snowboo · 19/05/2007 00:02

PinkTulips · 19/05/2007 00:05

OP posts:
Nbg · 19/05/2007 07:10

You weirdy freaks being up at that time!!!

Good lord, I was in bed by 9pm!

Welcome YM
I'm sure you'll get some chat here. We're a good bunch.
FWIW, I bought a babydan last week. We wanted it so it could be used as a large baby gate but you have to call them to get the wall fixings for that. So in the meantime we used it as a playpen. Or should I say, it was up as a playpen and only the dogs wanted to use it lol!
Ellis hated it but having said that, he has mummy issues atm

As for the scan, yes Mels, it does seem a bit more real now. Especially when theres a tiny little baby waving at you
It wasn't too bad when we got there as we were the only ones with an appt so we got straight in. But when the woman called me in, I thought she looked very familiar and then I realised that she was there when I had Ellis! Turns out shes a jack of all trades and is a midwife/sonographer!!! So that was quite nice.
She was lovely and asked which pics we wanted. When I ummed and ahhhed, she said oh you can have both and then proceeded to print off an extra one. So we had 3 and she told us to pay for 1. Then when we had finished, she looked at me funny and said have a look at your notes, so when I got in the car I found yet another pic

Ooooops I've rabbled lol.
Guess I'm in a better mood cos the scans out the way!
Plus Ellis slept through again last night after a glitch the night before.

My secret is a plinky plonky music cd that Tomatosauces mum gave me. Its a bit like those music boxes you get. You know with the metal prongs, with a chinese twist to it. I think she said it comes from Borneo.
Ellis woke at 10pm which he normally does and dh couldnt settle him, so I went in, he didnt want his bottle so the plinky plonky music went on and that was it. Instant peace and sleep!!!!

Oh and btw, dh has taken the scan piccies to work this am but if he leaves them at home tomorrow, I will upload to my profile.

PinkTulips · 19/05/2007 10:34

nbg - at least you have an excuse for early bed - its been 8.30 every night this week for me . dh is not impressed!!

welcome yummymummy

melsy, your dd's are gorgeous!

guess what? dh has just given me money to get myself a massage to cheer myself up - hurray! ( hadn't realised i'd been being such a miserable cow )

BigHotMama · 19/05/2007 15:23

Ah how sweet of him Olivo, go enjoy and relax it will do you wonders .

Welcome Yummy, my ds was born on 21st August and is into everything, we have a travelcot set up but tbh he doesnt like to go in it unless he is tired or I'm close by as he is really clinging to me at the mo. Got any pics of your lo's?

Melsy, sorry to hear your suffering with spd hun, oh and your girls are gorgeous too.

Your sonographer sounds lovely NBG? Bet you felt at ease and glad the scan went well. Its making me all broody lol .

Me and DH have been discussing when we are going to try for No.2 and have decided we are going to get a house first then start trying so sometime next year for me. 2 friends this week have announced they are pg and I'm really envious

Snowboo, what it is it about emtpying boxes and bags? Jackson toys are in a rubber ring type thing in the middle of the living room and after I put them away he leans in gets everything out all over the place and then tries to climb in head first upside down lol.

purpleturtle · 19/05/2007 20:44

DS2 knows exactly where to find the remote controls - down the side of the settee - and he also knows which is the really useful one. He won't play with the others!

Today his granny left her handbag on the floor and apparently he mastered the zip. Aaagh!

He impressed granny and grandpa by eating as much smoked salmon pasta for tea as dd (6) and ds1 (4).

rattleskuttle · 19/05/2007 22:44

She wants a copy herself now because her dd is waking in the night and we took hers lol!

Snowboo · 20/05/2007 08:58

Good morning ladies.
Ah the sun is shining atm and i'm knackered but happy. Dh went out on a stag do, i got a phone call at 2:20am to say his lovely mates had jumped in a cab to go to a club over in East London and left dh alone. Poor love was very drunk and didn't know where he was. So i ended up getting him to ask people, cos he was so drunk i had to translate it all! Anyway, by the time a cab agreed to bring him home (they won't go further than Ealing, where we USED to live ) the birds were up. Ds1 and hubby are stil aslepe, Austin on the other hand is playing with cables . Oh well, at least he's happy....

Hmm reading thru that i really shouldn't be happy...

Nbg, you lucky thing to get all those pics!

Pink, i've got some Valium if that helps

Off to search for plinky plonk music now!
