Got a good weekend though. A surprise party tomm evening. A meal out Sunday evening and photo viewing Monday afternoon. Fun fun fun.
Have a good weekend all x

marthahm · 28/04/2007 18:57

did i confuse mrsblobby with dogsmum, yes, think i did. sorry mrs blobby. sorry for getting your hopes up ginge.

Swizzler · 29/04/2007 09:39

Hope everyone's having a great weeend. We've been out doing fun stuff biut DS's routine up the spout so a quiet day today

gingeme · 29/04/2007 10:16

Ill let you off this time marthahm. Dont do it again. Ok?
Well all that hype about the party we went to it was pretty rubbish. My dh only knows the bloke through work so we didnt know anyone else there and no one bothered to talk to us or realy even acknowledge us except the birthday boy and his wife. Still lo enjoyed the lights and ds3 just ran around the whole time with all the other kids.
Deffo think lo has the pox. His rash is spreading around his torso and its not getting smaller! He had a snotty cold the past 3 weeks too which is a sign and his nappys are very explosive and very watery. Just sticking with milk today and taking about 3 changes of clothes out. Still hell get it over and done with early.
Were off to the woods today. The same one we went to last week. Its got a brill park in it too.Have a good one xx

youngmum21 · 29/04/2007 20:27

Hi all,

Bendy- no dont think it from the epidural it not hurting there and there is no medical evidence that proves epidurals cuz back ache so i have been told.

Rumple- kittens are driving me mad they are ruining my house and am fining it hard to get them to eat ive managed two but the other two arent interested

Think i mite be aenemic too have been feeling really tired and have a dry mouth too which can be a sign so will be going to the docs as soon as i get time!!

I hope everyone else os ok? xx

EmilyandLola · 30/04/2007 09:17

Morning All.

How is everyone?

Took LO to the Norfolk Game and Country Fair yesterday, was very funny, by brother was doing a tree climbing competition.

And, shock horror, she stayed at my sister's on Friday night, all night without a baby is very odd!

Any way, must dash x x x

gingeme · 30/04/2007 11:24

Wow sounds lovely EmilyandLola. Did you catch up on your sleep a bit?
Lo's taken to waking at 6.30am this weekend which wasnt appreciated as both nights were late ones
He seems a bit better today though. His temps gone down and his nappies are a bit more back to normal. Hes currently asleep in his cot and has been for nearly an hour which he hasnt done since he was diddy!!
Well better get the kettle on got a friend over soon with her lo. Well shes a year old and just walking

gingeme · 01/05/2007 12:23

HELLO ANYBODY OUT THERE ????

samsmam · 01/05/2007 16:40

I'm here! I was wondering where everyone was- enjoying the weather no doubt.

LO got a horrible cold- can't imagine that amount of yucky stuff coming out of one tiny nose! It's so sad when she is all blocked up watching her try and suck from a bottle.

My promise to myself is to walk one hour every day. Must remember that however far I walk I still have to walk back.

Going to get LO weighed tomorrow- dreading it really- anyone else finding 6-9 month clothes to small?

BENDYB · 01/05/2007 17:33

hi all, been quiet on here hasn't it.

hope everyones ok,

spent the weekend with dps family in london, was nice, went to bluewater, kai got completely spoilt by nanny!

also on sat, dp proposed 2me!!!
hopin 2 get married next summer, so excited!
hee hee, that means waiting till then to try for number 2 though! I want a size 10 wedding dress!

samsmam- kai is in 9-12 clothes for tshirts, has been for a few weeks, but still 3-6 in bottoms! He must be a weird shape!
hope your feelin ok now btw,
as someone else said prob is coz of being anaemic. x

samsmam · 01/05/2007 18:09

Wow- a proposal! Congratulations. I wish DP would propose to me.

Samantha is 9-12 month bottoms and top but 0-3 month in socks. I hope her feet start growing soon.

Has everybody got a rolling baby now? LO still just from back to tummy but it is a start!

I'm not feeling much better yet but I think iron takes a long time to build up again. I am getting really upset about losing hair though. It is making me depressed. Diet is back on track- we shall see at weigh in tomorrow night!

gingeme · 01/05/2007 18:35

Oh there are people about then.
Wow congratulations Bendyb I rmember when dh proposed to me in the middle of our local shopping high road.
samsam do you still sterilise lo's bottles? Ive just put lo's steriliser away. Im sick of the sight of it. How much hair are you losing exactly? Lo is in 9-12 month stuff usually. Especialy his romper suits. Some stupid woman called him a 'she' todaybecause he was wearing a red and white striped romper suit. Its the second time this has happened in the same suit. Dh soon put her right though.
Tried him with some baby spag boll this evening. So funny watching him rolling the 'bits' round in his little mough then watching them roll down his chin.
Has anyone tried a cup yet?

taffy101 · 01/05/2007 20:40

CONGRATULATIONS BENDY!! Great news.

Samsmam - my lo not into rolling at all - prefers sitting which he can nearly do alone (is 6 months old today btw and just started 6-9mth clothes). I put him on front on the floor today and the next time i looked he was on his back again, so i spose he must be able to roll one way (unless dd rolled him...)

Weaning - my baby doesn't know how to swallow!! Been trying for 2 weeks now - he seems to like the taste of things but just sticks his tongue in and out and 99% of it ends up on bib. I'm sure he'll get the hang of it soon.
DH bought him a baby walker but he's so ickle that his feet don't touch the floor yet! His big toes just about reach. Still, he likes sitting in it and playing with the toys.

youngmum - can imagine your messy kittens. our dog had 8 puppies once and our kitchen was just disgraceful - that was 12 years ago and i still not forgot the mess

samsmam · 01/05/2007 21:27

Seem to be losing most hair from the front and its really brittle so is snapping.

Samantha has a beaker of water with lunch and tea. Its just a tommee tippee one and if shaken or dropped goes everywhere, but she really has got the hang of it, now I just have to get her to hold it.
Still sterilising bottles here.

So annoying when it is clear that your child is a boy/girl people can't get it. I have a bright pink maclaren stroller and people still ask!

gingeme · 01/05/2007 23:07

Wow your good samsam lo using a beaker already. I tried 3 hole teets with lo and he drowned in his milk. Might try a beaker next month. Do you know whats causing your hair loss?
Lol at your lo in the walker taffy. Our lo has one and he controls it realy well. His best trick is to run the cat over. Well if the cats too stupid to move then its his own fault.
Anyone up for a meet up on the 15th or 16th? Been racking my brains on where but cant think of anything realy good. Will leave that up to our socialite Swizzler I think.
Off to bed now. Night all xxxx

BENDYB · 02/05/2007 08:36

thanks,

kai has been called a girl loads of times! Think it may be coz he's got such pretty eyes really long eyelashes aswell!

he has been using a cup for a few wks now, tommee tippee one aswell, that was the only way i could get him 2 drink water, if it was in a bottle he wouldn't drink it!

have a good day all x

samsmam · 02/05/2007 08:55

Same here bendy- LO will not drink water from a bottle. Once she can feed herself with the beaker I'll swap the 2pm milk feed to it. That just leaves the morning and bedtime feed from a bottle. growing to fast.

EmilyandLola · 03/05/2007 09:56

Congratulations B!

Wow, when DP proposed on Christmas Day it was lovely - I had all these images of a lovely summer wedding this year, and lo and behold he hasnt mentioned acutally getting married since!

Lola is drinking out of a glass or mug if I hold it for her, and she leans in for it when she's eating her meals (I put a glass of water on the table for her) It's fab as I dont have to faff around taking sippy cups or what ever out with me, as she'll drink from my glass.

OMG she woke at 3.30 this morning, wasnt hungry though, think she just wanted a cuddle.

Is any one else BLW? I'm going to put a list up later of all the food she eats.... just so I can compare with you other ladies.

Hope your all well, on the TTC front, AF is now 5 days late, feel like crap too

BENDYB · 03/05/2007 10:57

hi all,

em- been giving kai homemade purees 4 few wks now, i hadn't read that much about blw but now i have i kinda wish i'd started doin it instead! How are you finding it? sounds great, going by things i've read on here.
yeah put a list up of what she's had, i'm really interested. x

have a nice day everyone x

EmilyandLola · 03/05/2007 12:24

Right - here is a list of what Lola has eaten -

(don't give me any stick if you think it's unhealthy)
this is all being feed by herself, no puree or mashed, the only thing I spoon feed is yoghurt's

banana
bread sticks
satsuma
tomato
avocado
melon
toast (with cheese or marmite)
cream cheese
cheddar cheese
naan bread
pita bread
peppers
pork BBQ spare Ribs
scrambled egg
pasta
plums
broccoli
roast potatoes
roast chicken
cous cous
courgettes (roasted)
carrot batons (steamed and roasted)
aubergines (into strips and roasted)
noodles
home made flapjack
and once, just once, a McDonads chip, from DP not me

EmilyandLola · 03/05/2007 12:31

oh, and she eats what ever we eat, sorry, she's eaten
chipollata sausages
the odd waffle
fish finger (at MIL's)
baked beans is hilarious

shes eaten chicken curry's, pastas with all sorts of sauces - loads of stuff, its good fun, ever so relaxed.

Becky, I did go down the route of home made puree, got a freezer full of it! But she wont eat it, spits it out, its a real ordeal - doesn't like spoons much at all, unless its got pureed mango and yoghurt on it!

youngmum21 · 03/05/2007 12:34

wow that great emily how old is your lo now?

EmilyandLola · 03/05/2007 12:40

god knows, 7 months? i've lost count she was born 13th October

Swizzler · 03/05/2007 13:14

Hi all - long time no post

Bendy: Congratulations!!

Samsmam: hope the iron kicks in soon as you start feeling better. Are you also taking a multivitamin? Might help.

Got DS weighed yesterday - 21 lbs! Still on 91st centile and officially a 'lively baby' - spent most of the time in the waiting room poking all the other babies and trying to steal their socks

Still no improvement on the sleep - but I have A Plan - will see if it works .

gingeme · 03/05/2007 15:06

Sounds brill EmilyandLola keep up the good work. We kinda do both but because lo's meals dont coinside with ours he more or less gets baby food. Though hes tried some things we eat too. Gonna take him to the docs on Tuesday. We think he has excema.
What is your cunning plan then Swizzler? Go on let us in on your secret
Had some photos printed up from dh's phone and he got one of the last meet up with Edward and his mates. So lovely. Ill bring it to the next one. Talking of which any ideas yet?
