PCF - I would be sooo pissed off (I guess you are!). I hate it when people are late, but to not even have the courtesy to call.

Carrotcke -has the drilling stopped yet?

laughalot · 22/03/2007 17:21

Thanks dragon I oredered one how long do they take to come ?

carrotcake · 22/03/2007 17:31

The drilling has stopped now, in fact it pretty much stopped as he woke up! Wonder if he heard me holding screaming baby up to the wall

pmt, wilkie, what's that?

carrotcake · 22/03/2007 17:40

PCF - Sack her!

Dragonhart · 22/03/2007 19:26

Carrot- OUr HV is the same and she turns up late and messing up our routine and say 'sorry Im late' with this rediculous look on her face and as I am sooo crap at confrontation I just say 'oh, thats ok'

Laughalot -sorry cant remember, it was about 17months ago!! Think it was 2nd class so about 4 days?

Went to marks today and got loads of really cheap stuff in their sale. Mostly for los though.

EAH I can sympathise, I had Luke and RUth with me in one of those trollys with a seat and a baby lie flat bit and I was looking at a top, turned around and say that L was batting R on the head saying 'Asleep! Asleep! Told him off then 5 mins later, heard him saying 'Eye! Eye!' and I was distracted saying 'yes, eyes' when I looked at him he was poking her in the eye! Poor Ruth, she will probablly have a tick soon!

RGee · 22/03/2007 19:33

Dragon - couldn't help but laugh at the thought of L poking poor R!

It's a bit quieter on here tonight. Where are you all?

RGee · 22/03/2007 20:36

Still no-one here? Are you all waiting until I go to bed?

Shimmer · 22/03/2007 21:12

yes it is rather quiet tonight! Sorry dragon but have to agree with RGee...L poking R in the eye is rather amusing

RGee thanks for the budget info btw! Watched quite a bit of analysis stuff on telly today but just got annoyed as unless you're actually an economist it's impossible to figure out what's actually going on. The shadow chancellor (forgotten his name...)was on saying 3 million (ish?) families will be worse off, but then Gordon Brown comes on and says no, 3 million families will be better off. And there's no real way of knowing who's right.. Well, I had a letter from the child benefit people saying its going up from £17.45 to £18.10 a week. A stunning 65pm a week. Not exactly earth shattering!

Enough politics i think.

Fingers crossed for a good night for everyone tonight. Freddie slept quite a lot in the day again today so probably won't do that well tonight. I always try and wake him if he sleeps for ages in the day but he HATES being woken up and just screams til i let him go back to sleep. Does anyone elsse have this problem??

annieapple7 · 22/03/2007 21:28

Here I am...should be having a shower but I feel my MN addiction returning with a vengeance....keeps me out of the kitchen though. I have just signed up to Tesco E diets (30 quid) and instantly regretted it. There are lists of exact meals to be eaten ...I can't be arsed with that. £30 down the drain! I can't be arsed to exercise other than walking either. I am sure I will feel like it soon....

Still a sex free house here too...I have never waited this long ( 8 weeks). Mind you, we had sex 3 weeks after DS1, and it was awful...like waving a pencil in a cathedral [shudder]. After 3 children, I am waiting longer so I can do my pelvic floor exercises to hopefully avoid that situation again. Having my legs waxed tomorrow which should make me feel more womanly. Presently they look like moon boots they are so hairy.

But we also haven't sorted the contraception issue. We always used "withdrawal" and avoiding it during ovulation (shame, as I always feel more like it then!) but after 3, it seems a bit more risky. I am not sure I want 4. DH mentioned a vasectomy after Rose was born, but has gone strangely quiet on the issue now....

I am starting to feel like it now, so I am probably ovulating....a good reason to avoid it!

No 6 week checks here either Wilkie.

laughalot · 22/03/2007 21:45

Wilkie we had to have a six week check

2Happy · 23/03/2007 07:40

Jode - awwwww! A red rose, bless. Is he back home yet? dh home late last night but is straight out to work thisam and probably won't be home before kids bedtime. No red roses here, but I will have to tell him about your dh, hint hint hint
Shimmer - glad the hungry baby milk seems to be working
EandH - poor Hattie, but giveit a few months and she'll give as good as she gets . I wish there was a magic answer to tantrums...
LTH - I'd love to be horribly skinny, just for a day, just to know what it feels like since I'm never going to any other way!!
PCF - ooooh how annoying. And rude!
annieapple - "like waving a pencil in a cathedral" - no offense, but PMSL what a brilliant phrase! No nookie here, but I don't think bf helps the libido any. I've got the mini-pill on stand-by for when the moment is right!

Shitty awful night, am bloody knackered now and it's crap weather. What am I going to do to amuse the kids today and to stop me going out of my tiny mind??!

Incidently, randomly dreamed about you lot the other night . But you all hated me and Mr UD (who was randomly included as one of you!) told me off for being peremptory - can't even spell it let alone know what it means!! Even my dreams lack self esteem [self-pitying emoticon ]

2Happy -

RGee · 23/03/2007 07:53

Morning! It was quiet on here last night then. Are you all chatting on MSN instead?

Annie - also love the pencil in cathedral! Walking with a pushchair is the best exercise in the world. I went to a 'pramacise' class the other week.

2Happy - the sun has got his hat on here!

Vino - haven't seen you for ages. Are you lurking, or too busy trying to catch up on this thread?

Ok, anyone any ideas why lo has decided to start waking twice a night rather than her usual once? This has happened the last few days (since moving her to her own room). She is eating more in the day, and a decent amount during the night. The room is a bit cooler than our bedroom. Our one and only dream feed attempt didn't make any difference, just added an extra feed.

Have a good day. It's the weekend which means it's DH turn for the night feeds!

ellieandhattie · 23/03/2007 08:03

Morning all I had a computer free night last night asdh getting fed up of me sitting on the sofa and laptop on and have to say was quite nice to actually talk to him

Thanks for all the sympathies I think Ellie is just one of those kids who have been a little bit 'spoilt' as she was 1st grandchild for my parents 1st great grandchild etc so shes used to having lots of attention.

Crappy night here Ellie up and down like a yo yo so she is very irritable this morning keeps aggrevating Hattie. Hattie went down later than normal as she had loads of sleep yesterday (shimmer it is impossible to wake Hsttie and some days she seems to spend most of the daya sleep) gave her dreamfeed at 10pm and she went straight to sleep, however, she was up at 2,3,4 and gave in at 4.30 and put her into bed with me (Ellie had come in at 3.30 and dh slept in her bed) she did have a massive fart and poo at 5 so thibk se must have had tummy ache.

I am so looking forward to today dropping dd's of to mil at 9 and then into town to get my shoes for sunday and get my hair cut order some balloons for the christening and get the final bits and pieces. MIL has said she'll have them to mid afternoon so meeting one of my friends from work for lunch.

2happy glad dh home but you had crappy night

Annie - loved that phrase I suppose I am lucky in some ways that I had 2 sections as everything intact down there!

Rgee - Morning

PCF - I would ring and make a complaint especially as you have Alex to consider must be a real pain trying to prepare him for somethings that doesnt happen

Wilkie at your primark purchases I havent looked at anything for me in there for ages may have a lttle wander around there today

ellieandhattie · 23/03/2007 08:06

well comuter free after 7.45 but was paying bills etc so not MN which is what annoys him

theUrbanDryad · 23/03/2007 08:19

morning all! well Shimmer's crossed fingers have done the job here for us - Zac slept from 8 till 6 then went back down (after emptying both sides!) till half 7! i'm sure it's just a one-off though, so i won't show off too much! i'm getting him weighed today, we'll see how much the little McFatty weighs!

2Happy - pre-emptory (no, i can't spell it either) means doing something before someone else has a chance to. like....a pre-emptory strike is when you get someone before they get you. i told dh about your dream and he told me to tell you to step away from the computer!

2Happy · 23/03/2007 08:39

....he may have a point!!

wilkie · 23/03/2007 09:05

Hi All - computer free night here for me too (although DH decided to spend the entire evening looking for cars on the internet instead so we still didn't really chat!!)

J had a shit night - had a paddy at his 7pm feed (not sure what that was about) and screamed until 8pm then was up at 11pm, 3am, 5am and 7.30am. LOVELY!! (Wilkie sat at laptop with cocktail sticks propping her eyelids open).

Have registered with a dentist here as have toothache and have to go at 12.45pm - I am terrified of the dentist At least my old one in Grimsby knew what I was like and tried to make me feel better!

wilkie · 23/03/2007 09:05

2Happy - I dream about MN all the time too even though I don't know any of you in RL

carrotcake · 23/03/2007 09:41

Wilkie- I am going to the dentist too, 10.00am, an old filling that they said might start playing up has begun to ache, can't eat on that side etc, downhill slope from here I reckon. He 's just looking at it today to make an appoint so I hope it doesn't kick off over the weekend as I don't want more than para while breast feeding. Would normally have codeine for teeth, am such a wuss.

UD- pleeeeeease tell me your secret, LO wakes every three hours regardless of dreamfeeds/timed anything.

I went to bed at 8.10 last night, was sooo tired and all children had gone up at six, partly because the older ones had been so badly behaved I couldn't face it, dp in Birmingham yesterday.

Suppose I better get ready, I hate the dentist, it's so undignified. (she says after just giving birth)

carrotcake · 23/03/2007 09:42

shit, look at time!!!
