3hrs, poor you LL {{{Hugs}}} to Tilly.
Glad her play was good though and well done to Kiah

dd2 keeps saying bum or poo but mainly after shes done one now, mind you found her naked this am, with the potty on her bed and a pile of dd1's socks in it (lucky potty un-used.

also a bit as I've booked my birthday present finally for tomorrow, that a friend brought me, its an indian head massage, but I can't find the bloomin voucher now had it last week when I booked it, but it appears to have gone really hoping they'll still let me have it without the voucher, they should have a record, right?

Astrophe · 14/12/2007 16:02

hope so Friz! A nice massage is just what you need during the silly season.

LL - following on from your potty training thread - DS is doing better today, but I think mostly because I keep reminding him. If I tell him to sit on the pot, he sits and wees and says 'big boy pants - wee potty!'. But he used to take himself, and doesn't do that now that he is in pants. Does Kiah ask to go? I have experience of this as L was 2.1 when she trained, so more verbal than DS is now, although he obviously has the language, but has not yet engaged it.

Astrophe · 14/12/2007 16:03

meant to say I have no experience of this, ie, potty training pre 24 months.

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 14/12/2007 16:40

Astro sounds like your doing good to me debating wether to bite the bullet and get dd2 into pants too she certainly knows when she's going for a poo, not sure about the wee bit yet though, but not half tempted to try.....kinda hard though as we're out and about so much at the mo, mainly at the shop......argh! it won't have changed by next summer though so? should I attempt to go for it now?

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 14/12/2007 16:40

Oh PS: Found the voucher, phew and it was heavenly!

Astrophe · 15/12/2007 09:59

Friz, I am glad.

Did you guys see this thread?
vertbaudet vouch £15 off

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 16/12/2007 20:18

Thanks for the link Astro

We ran around delivering and picking up presents today, I also managed to get another two that I'd forgotten, phew.
Dd1 and 2 went on a lovely horse (dressed up as reindeer ride) as well, both grined the whole way around it However putting dd2 to bed tonight, have discovered a RASH....on her lower back, stomach, bum and legs...... probably no nursery for her tomorrow unless its gone?

UniS · 16/12/2007 21:11

Hi all. only a short day at work today! just re rigging 2/3 of teh lighting turning sports hall from Gymnastics and dance show venue into carol concert and awards evening venue. Was nice to be home for boys bedtime.only 2 more long days to go.
What is it with girls and clear speech. Boy is still at teh Mre mre, bi, mi, ka, po po, na na, nack etc stage. he understandable to me and dh but none of this singing songs stuff! Continueing to stelth potty train... ie I sit him on potty evry now and then and he gets a sticker if he does a pooh or wee in it. Not doing any thing more organsied till after christmas and its round of long car trips and visting friends and family.
read you on wednesday?
ttfn unis

Astrophe · 16/12/2007 21:12

horse ride sounds lovely - where? I took dd to see some reindeer at Mickleover garden centre last year, but they are not there this year.

oh dear - hope the rash goes quickly...what do you think it is? Friend told me that both her DC have worms today, prob from nursery, so am on the look out...gross!

DD is off nursery for 3 weeks now! Eek! I find it really hard in the house with them both, I crave space! Off to new play centre in Derby tomorrow, then mum and tots party on tue, nursery party wed, and some baking on thurs, so this week is sorted. DH is off work after Chrissy which will be nice.

Finished all my shopping now, so just some baking of shortbread for gifts for neighbours etc, and some truffes to be made, plus Jesus' birthday cake for the Big Day (we eat it for breakfast ). We are having a drinks party on Friday night, and I had grand plans for making sushi, which I love, only to discover that our local Sainsbo have stopped stocking the rice and seaweed So am now at a loss for what to make. The two other canapes I had planned are pastry based, so wanted something light...any thoughts?

laundrylover · 17/12/2007 10:03

Astro hats off to you woman - how are you sooo organised??? Sushi????!!!! Beans on toast it'll be for our Xmas dinner at this rate.

Friz, glad you found the voucher and got your massage -hurray! 'Reindeer' ride sounds fab - we used to put those reindeer ears on our donkeys to disguise them on the city farms. Astro, real reindeer appearances are limited this year because there are blue tongue movement restrictions in place in many areas.

Potty training - I'm really inpressed that we are all even thinking about potty training before 2. Kiah continues to be amazing. She asks for a wee/poo and is dry at nights still. Her speech is very well developed (sound like a bragging mum? - I am!!!!) which does make life easier Uni, but your boy will be chatting away soon and sounds like he's getting the hang of the potty. Friz, go for it - if DD2 takes to it like Kiah you'll be flying.

Well, I did my first 10k race yesterday in 1 hour and 53 seconds (annoying eh?). Anyway it was a very hilly course and I paced it slow so was pleased with my time. Of course DP beat me after 2 weeks of training and my Dad (who's 62) did it in 44 minutes!!!! Today though the top of my foot is really sore and I am limping - odd. Think it may be bruising but feels like I've broken a metatarsel in a footballer way!

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 17/12/2007 20:10

Hi Uni, glad work is going ok :-) it'll all be over soon!

Astro ride and reindeer were at McArthurGlen J28 M1.
Have you tried the Sainsbo's in Westfield? if they're not good, there's a good Market stall near the cockpit island carpark that does stuff like that! (that end of the market anyway 1st row of stalls in.) HTH's the shortbread sound lovely, mmmmmmmmm

LL well done on the run I really must take it up again, outdoors soon! its great for shifting the weight eh, maybe when the nights get a bit lighter! Off to Hula Aerobics again tomorrow!

I now have random rash on both wrists and eyelids???? dd2 has it vaguely on her bum still..........

Astrophe · 17/12/2007 20:26

Most of the organisation comes from having sent all our Christmas pressies back to Aust with my Mum in Sept, and having the chrissy cards done in time for posting overseas. Did DH and the kids shopping online, so all the pressies are done, hence time for other things! Sushi is dead easy btw. Thanks for the tips Friz, I will look around some more for the sushi stuff, although started a thread on here and have been given lots more good canape ideas too!

A friend is taking DD with her DS to see som reindeer at Utoexeter on Friday, s that I can get organised for the party. What is blue tongue LL?

WELL DONE with the race! I am amazed, I don't think I could run for more than 20 minutes, honestly! Wow!

Potty training - DS still wearing pants, and weeing in them unless I ask him f he needs to go. It feels like a huge regression, although being potty trained without pants only isn't that useful really, so shall press on. Kiah is amazing!

Went to the new play barn Hickory Dickory today (Kingsway Industrial Estate Friz), and it was good - quite similar to Chucklebutties, although CB is nicer as it has natural light, whereas this is a big warehouse.

Uni - hows the work going?

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 18/12/2007 09:07

Oh I shall bear that one in mind Astro! thanks for the tip
we're at a party on sat afternoon at the other one in Derby, Tubby Bears.

I have plague, am off to Dr's in a mo.....dh is expecting me at shop later though I've woken up with a crescent shaped rash on my side?????? am I a religious symbol? or ill????? off to find out what the hell is going on with my skin! grumbles off to dr's to get no doubt yet more cream, sigh.....

laundrylover · 18/12/2007 15:55

Friz, you have the plague obviously. Treatment is a hot bubble bath with a glass of wine and a bar of choc. Tell your DH!

Astro, Bluetongue is a disease taht is rampant in sheep in Europe right now and so cloven hoofed animals can't travel around the country much apart from to market and abbatoir. Therefore reindeers can only do local venues! Hmmmm, maybe Friz has Bluetongue from the fake reindeer!!!

Uni, are you up a rig somewhere??

laundrylover · 19/12/2007 10:56

Astro and Friz - I've emailled you a silly video of us all for Xmas! Can you forward to anyone else on the thread as don't have Uni's or Caddy's email address. Thanks.

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 19/12/2007 17:03

LL I shall forward that to Uni and Caddy now!! very good

I have 3 types of cream now, one for eyelids (don't ask) another for hands, which I should have had weeks ago, as its virtually cleared them in 24 hrs flat, and diprobase for my symbol!!

Uni is up a rig somewhere!

dd2 just said poo again, we went to the loo, she said done, I said, there's now't in there, she looked at me like I was a looney, so I wiped, and lol there it was stuck to her bum so glad I can share these things on here!!

Been to Toy Libray Xmas party this avo, lots of fun had by all I think, we have stuck glitter on all sorts of things, eaten food, passed the parcel and been visted by Santa

UniS · 20/12/2007 20:22

I was indeed up a rig somewhere. Ivybridge to be precise. Its all over now thankfuly. Was a VERY long week and a half. Boy is now unwell and I think glad to have me home so he CAN cloapse and be pathetic and have lots of cuddles and sofa time. He likes his childninder and the friend who had him some days but they bothhave older boys so he does a lot of running about worshiping the BIG boy and gets very tired.

Home for 2 days then off to my parents , so sorry, but I'm still a rather eratic poster for a bit longer.
Hope you all have fun christmases, the kids enjoy them slves, the in laws don;t disgrace them slves and the dog doesn;t eat the turkey.

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 20/12/2007 22:54

Uni, have a fab Xmas then hon that of course goes for the rest of you too, but I expect to see at least some of you on here before the big day!!!

for your ds beeing poorly, but hope he's mended in time for Xmas for you. dd1 is getting the sniffles, so hope we're not all poorly next week!

Dh got his snip results this am, and so far it's not worked He's been given another two tests to try, then if still not working, they'll have to re do the op......or we hire him out as a Stud, one or the other

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 24/12/2007 10:16

Hi Girls!

Have a very merry Xmas

Saw cousin and her new dd last night, she's lovely although pretending to feed rather too much at the moment, (ie sucking not feeding) so cousin is having that fun joy of trying to figure out feeding every 3/4 hrs and what each cry means! Now her dh is off for a few weeks, he can take dd away from that nice milky smell that is mum and stop her constantly wanting to suck!

Astrophe · 24/12/2007 19:57

Exciting DTM Take care mate.

Merry Christmas to you all. OUr lot were in bed at 7pm tonight (very early for them) after a busy day, lunch at friends and then carols at church. DH is wrapping my presents in the next room - hope you all get something nice.
