Friz - wow at both of your girls!!! You are right to be a proud mummy.

Kiah continues to pee on the floor and laugh heartily....

Thanks to you and Astro for your kind thoughts. My friend's husband had a gastric bypass and then got peritonitis but he was really on the mend and was due to come home yesterday. The post mortem will hopefully provide some answers but whatever it's such a tradgedy.

I got really hurt yesterday as apparently some other people at toddler group had announced that they were scrapping the hamper idea and have instead bought toys for the boys. I was upset because no-one bothered to tell me and I bumped into a mum who told me when I was shopping for stuff to go in it! Ah well an angry text from me got a nicer email in return so all done with now. Still think the hamper would've been nice but will package up a few bits myself and take them round. No use fighting when all this is going on eh? Ho hum.

Well just done 3 miles in 30 minutes despite feeling grumpy and full of period! Quick shower and then must work!!!!

DP is getting our 'new' bedroom ready for painting and wallpapering - carpet is being fitted in there and on the stairs next Friday!!!! It's going to be SOOOOO grownup - think I will have to ban the kids - some hope.

laundrylover · 28/11/2007 10:45

Friz, yes saw my sis yesterday and she is nearly 15 weeks now! She really wants to get past 16 weeks which was when she had the termination last time. Her neuchal fold scan was great so that's it now until the 20 week scan.

Other sis has been upset by the Scottish NHS approach - she went to the GP, said 'I'm pregnant' and he replied 'do you want to keep it'??.

UniS · 28/11/2007 15:08

Hi All. what big grown up girls you have friz, no it won;t last and she will soon be pooing on teh floor like the rest of them. Mind you boy has has a sticke for poo at potty time about 50% of days recently and some of teh others have seena big wee so hes not doing badly. not asking to go yet, just has potty time in teh morning.
he wasn't feeling well this morning so we had an hour of Cbbies betwwen getting dressed and breakfast- I was staving...
Sympathy to frined LL, tricky to know what to do or say in that sort of sitation. just be there for her when she needs it. lifts, baby sitting , an adult ear etc.

UniS · 30/11/2007 17:08

I shall be playing unicycle hockey on saturday - Hurrah.
Just hope I feel a bit less c*ap tomorrow, was up being sick in the night, was V rough this morn, think is a tummy bug, boy OK so far.Boy watched FAR to much Cbbies this morning he was square eyed, sitting on the steering wheel of his little tikes car with his feet up on teh spoiler and me slumped on teh sofa feeling too sorry for herself to insist he sat properly.

Frizbe · 30/11/2007 22:24

Uni, sorry didn't reply on Feb thread to you, all a bit much to catch up on there, but are you sure its a bug? {{{Hugs}}} anyway as not nice being sick.

LL, glad your sister is doing good, hope next week goes ok for her. Sorry to hear about your m&t group being a bit pants still all sorted now. Very sad for your friend

You'll all be very pleased to note that dd2 has been no where near a toilet since, and in fact woke me up yesterday am, covered in poo as she'd just done one, and came into show me by waving her pooey hand in my face, prior to attempting to eat it After I stuck her in the bath to wash it off, I doubt she'll be doing that again in a hurry.....she wasn't impressed.

Am also attempting to night train dd1 again at the mo, 3 out of 5 nights dry so far, fingers x'd she's ok tonight? We went rollerskating earlier at the local leisure centre, dd1 is slowly getting the hang of the skating on her Dora skates, dd2 was a bit sulky as she has no skates and wanted some.....the older girls thought they were both very cute tho (esp as dd1 was in her fairy dress too!)

UniS · 01/12/2007 14:52

either bug or something I ate. Dh did raise eyebrows and ask if there was something I should b telling him. But I'm prety sure its NOT, have a coil FGS and timing is wrong too.
Waiting for Dh to come home and then we head off to play hockey. Just hope my guts hold out! Boy is off to play with his best frined.

UniS · 02/12/2007 19:30

Oh dear. After 24 hours of being off his grub, Boy vomited big style at tea time tonight, all over his end of teh table. actully not such a bad place as at least its easy to clean up a table and chair and teh plastic mat still under his chair. Looks like it wasn;t something I ate the other day but a proper tummy bug. ho hum, hope dh doesn't come down next as he has mad busy week at work.

Frizbe · 02/12/2007 21:21

Uni hope Hockey was good? sorry to hear about boy hope he's better for you tonight?

We had a nice night in Nottm with my friends, although had to leave at 10.30 due to getting back for bbsitter, whilst everyone else went clubbing, eh well. Took the dd's to see Santa this afternoon, and then dd1 was gutted to find out he was totally booked up for the rest of the day WTF? and that a bloody grotto has an appointment system! and that it wasn't clear till you got upto the door of the grotto that it was fully booked either.

Astro, LL, I can do next Sunday or the Sunday after if either of you are free for Chucklebutties? (figure ss can stay in shop with dh as he's too tall for CB's now)

Frizbe · 03/12/2007 23:17

Flame has just reminded me of a little nugget I wish to share, or should that be a big one, mainly in front of dd2's chest of drawers this morning, that she then trod in and paddled on the the landing carpet, before I got to her she'd decided to strip herself of her pj's, then go to the loo on the carpet, when I got to her, she was holding the clothes she wanted to wear, whilst shouting poo, poo, so I stuck her on the loo, then realised her feet were coved in the stuff took an age to get out of the carpet.......she's been pulling hair at nursery too today my little angel huh

laundrylover · 05/12/2007 10:44

Just catching up on the thread.....tummy bugs in Devon and poo in Derbyshire. We are tummy bug free but share the poo on the floor with you Friz! Hope Uni and the boy are well again.

Bit busy here and TBH I don't think I'm going to be able to fit in a meet up before Xmas. I have something in my diary every weekend and haven't even thought about Xmas shopping yet! Sorry - maybe January????

Astrophe · 05/12/2007 12:08

Things are busy-ing up for us too...so Jan it will have to be!

DD and I are back from Paris - we went to visit friends for the weekend, and had a lovely time

DS was happy with DH, and happy without booby, and I had made the decision to stop BFing unless he was desperate. He asked this am, and cried when I said no, but then was fine when DH took him downstairs. I felt really sad...and really liberated...its been a long time. So a bit today.

laundrylover · 05/12/2007 12:28

Astro I forgot about Paris - how exciting for you and DD!!!

Well, you've finally stopped the booby! I'm still feeding Kiah and she loves her morning feed....well done you for making the decision to stop - we'll be expecting the announcement of number 3 soon then eh???

I've become a target member at Slimming World - decided that as I was now a size 12 and running 3 times a week I'd have a break from dieting and see if I can maintain this weight for a while...may try and shift a few more pounds next year.

UniS · 05/12/2007 21:51

THats 2 of us still on teh morning boob then.. I'm thinkinf of calling a stop in the new year, decided not to change things before we go away for christmas( or before the next 2 weeks of childminder every day).
Boy better, back in circulation, was very boring 48 hours quarentine not being abale to take him to toddler goups or chrech or even the playground. We did go to teh beach yesterday afternoon and he had a nice potter about in teh rain demanding a build him sand castles here, here and here. Bloody dogs are allowed on eth beach this time of year tho so it was a a bit of a minefeild I think I managed to steer him away from teh pooh.
Off on a met office mums christmas outing tomorrow. M&T party on friday ( they arranged it for this week as its the only friday I can do all term and no one else had stroong veiws on what date).

Frizbe · 06/12/2007 20:07

Uni have a great day tomorrow then

Cooking dinner here so will have to be quick (dh is doing a late night shop thing)

Glad you've agreed Jan, as all gone a bit mad here too!

Well done on the end of the boob Astro! are you going to wait for no3 til you get back to Aus, or are you going for it now
Is it next year you leave?

Frizbe · 06/12/2007 20:09

Astro I'm crap and forgot about Paris too! glad you had a great time though, do you recommend anywhere in particular to go with kids? keep badgering dh for us to go
fancying trying out the tunnel link from St.Pancres

LL, have a great weekend if I don't catch ya before, that silly woman hasn't sent me anything else to read re the grants, so ?

Astrophe · 06/12/2007 20:50

Ah no, number three is due in 2009! I am still feeling a bit funny about stopping - I keep thinking "Its not too late to change my mind!"...but actually I don't want to. Its just an end of an era you know?

LL, well done you with the weight loss - what is a target member? You are my slimming hero I fell off the wagon big time in Paris - I had planned to - but am finding it very hard to et back on now! Missed the gym today as DS was very snotty, and was planning to do an excersize dvd, but, surprise, did not do it .

When do you find the time to go running? It sounds a good idea, but not sure how I'd make it work.

Paris - well DD was most impressed with the trains and plane! They were her highlights! She also really liked the impressionists at the musee d'orsay, which was surprising. We had planned on going on the ferris wheel in place de la concord, but it was too windy and rainy, so in the end we didn't really do any 'kids' stuff, but she seemed to enjoy it just the same!

We are really struggling with both kids atm - DS still not going to sleep by himself, and DD's behaviour is generally awful and getting worse...am about to go and start a thread. DH is upstairs with them now, and losing his rag very quickly

Astrophe · 06/12/2007 20:51

oh and Uni, glad to hear your lad is on the mend, and friz, yes its next year we leave.

UniS · 07/12/2007 17:24

Astro- I run once a week with a club- www.womensrunningnetwork.co.uk I do a 6-7pm track session, each area they are in will be differnt as its a network of local groups. I like the security of running on a track with a group and a trainer to make me work.

Toddler group party this morning- chaos, next year we need to go somewhere bigger. Our crew are geting too big for the play cafe on masse. Usuall round of screaming abdabs over shoes off rules, tussles over soft blocks, fights at top of slide and at bottom in ball pit, baby sisters getting buried in ball pit, big sisters buring themslves in ball pit and bumped heads.
My secret santa got us just right- red wine for me, thomas train jigsaw for Boy. Thank you whoever you were.

Working from tomorrow for 11 days so won't be on here much. Hope you all have a good christmas run up and don't get toooo stressed.

Frizbe · 07/12/2007 22:32

Uni that's a great idea try to enjoy work eh!

Astro, where did that time go when do you go then? are you still doing Europe on the way back? you'd better stay in touch with us all still

Have got my 1st stalker today nice chap though! chatted to me for half an hour or so, (he comes in shop at least once a week harmless enough I think) and then plucked up the courage to tell me I'm gorgeous well at least I made someone day eh! geeks eh

also friggin boiler has broken tonight no heat or hot water till monday then, at a minimum, bar the shower heating its own water.....great,and snow forecast too so that's 2nd time in 2 years its packed up and its only 6 friggin years old

laundrylover · 10/12/2007 15:49

Bad news on the boiler front Friz -hope it's fixed soon. Do you have a fire and an electric shower to tide you over?

Well, I have so much work that I am having a bit of a panic attack and have had to come on MN instead. 7am train to London tomorrow so will do some planning and realistically if DP can have the kids extra next week I can get it all finished by Xmas....hopefully.

End of another era here as Kiah is potty trained (dry for two days and dry for two nights!!!!) but too as you know how I love my nappies! I'm really proud of her and want to see how she gets on at nursery this week.

Tilly is off school with the runs and has been quite poorly. She's missed the dress rehearsal today and am going to send her to my Mum's tomorrow and hope she's better for the play on Weds.

Went to my friend's husband's funeral this morning. It was a lovely service but all so wrong and although I didn't cry (as I didn't really know him)I was shocked and appalled if that makes any sense?

Astro, I run after dropping Tilly off at preschool when Kiah is either at nursery or DP can have her til 10am. Run with friends or on my own. I do 3 miles on a Monday and Weds and a bit more at weekend. Yesterday I did 4.5 miles in 45 mins after a curry and 3 pints so was pretty pleased. 10k race this Sunday....

Right, must do an hour whilst DP is out with the girls....where to start??????

Astrophe · 10/12/2007 17:35

re your stalker Friz! Bless! Or is that really patronizing? Hows the boiler going? Our washing machine broke last night, but htis am I drained it, cleaned the filter and all the scunge in the seal, shouted at it and kicked it a little, and now its ok.

LL...WOW!!! How did Kiah toilet train so quickly??? Please tell me what to do - DS is very reliable with the potty so long as he has NO pants/trousers on - as soon as he has pants on he wees in them. Don't know whee to go from here...Explicit detailed instructions please

Hmmm, shall have o brain storm as to when I could run. I actually hate running with a passion, but can't get to the gym for a few weeks as I am looking after my godson so my friend can get to the gym herself (her ds is under 1, and gym creche is only for over 1s, and she has pnd so figure she needs the excersize more than me, although she is stick insect thin!)

Hows the work going then? (trick question, because if you answer we will know you are mning rather than working!

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 10/12/2007 22:27

lol at the trick Q Astro

Glad you washer is doing ok now, my boiler is beeing seen to tomorrow afternoon.....about 4pm ish apparently think it may be Wed before we're under way again.....
LL we have elec shower and gas fire to keep us going, dd1 got dressed under the covers this am though, as so cold, bless

Well done on the running hon I'm attempting Hula Aerobics tomorrow night, will let you know how I get on!

Did the Xmas shopping for the kids today girls all done, ss nearly there too! just adults to sort now went to the new centre at Derby, tis nice innit Astro

WeFrizYouaMerryChristmas · 12/12/2007 00:15

Ooooh! nearly forgot, the oddest thing happened over night, the boiler fixed itself we woke to a warm house! even the plumber is flumoxed, although it could be a faulty circuit board, but we'll not know unless it happens again! hurrah money saved for now

Astrophe · 12/12/2007 10:11

Great Friz!

laundrylover · 12/12/2007 15:47

Hurrah for your boiler Friz! How strange eh??

Potty training Astro is a a bit of a mystery as we just tried her again the other day and she got it sorted. Had one accident in three days and was really upset about it....she is at nursery today so will see how she got on. At nights I am still putting her in a nappy but she has been dry for 3 nights so will just dig out my wee sheet and ditch the nappies. She still likes a sweetie (choc raisin) reward and sings 'Kiah did a wee on the potty, Kiah did a wee on the potty, she's the best, she's the best, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah' in a cheer leader way!!!! Do these tips help you????

Just been to Tilly's play - she was very cute as a ballerina and delivered her line with aplomb. Spent three hours at the doctors with her this morning to get a referal to Ear, nose and throat to unblock her left ear. Luckily the squits seem to have stopped so she can go back to school tomorrow - phew!
