Hello there! Not here for long but suspect that I may be around more often in the coming weeks (if you'll have me back...)

Here is a copy of the latest:

Quick update: All Change! All Change! DH is now on his way to Geneva for November 5...

We will not be joining him until January because we have pushed back our move date; extended the DC's school contract AND the outlaws are coming for Christmas so we are better off staying here...

This week has been a roller-coaster but at least we can now start to make some plans. Full steam ahead and roll on January for the Cadclan.

Can't believe that I will be here for 6 weeks on my own (AGAIN!!!) but this seems the least disruptive plan for the DCs.

I am off to change dd2 and get some housework done but I will try to catch up later. Hope you are all well!

Cadmum · 22/10/2007 11:21

After a quick catch up, Cadmum pleads for you not to end this thread...My connection is still not great and i seldom have the patience to deal with it. I will be here more often for the next few weeks and then we will have better internet in January once we move.

laundrylover · 23/10/2007 12:04

Hello all,

Caddy, lovely to have you drop by and at you and the kids being abandoned in Vienna!

Uni, hope boy's bits are on the mend.

Friz, sounds like the shop is going great guns - so pleased for you. DD2 in a bed!!! I was talking about this with DP the other day as my sis is after my cot for May but not sure. Tilly was out of the cot pretty early as I put it away before Kiah arrived but she is keen on having a bunk bed so am tempted to keep K in the cot for now...anyway am wanting to fill the cot up again next year!

Well, Tilly hasn't got pox she just has horrible pustules on her legs and grumpy madamitis! Yesterday we went to the docs in the morning and then she had 3 chickpeas and as many tantrums for lunch. Timed her out for about 15 mins in all and the put them both in the car and went for a drive - they fell asleep and I went to a retail park and nodded off too. Managed a bit of shopping too so felt that she hadn't won!

She is back in school/playgroup today thank God! K at my Mum's with a streaming cold.

We booked our holiday house after having a trial run/planning session - brunch at ours with all three families - chaos. Google 'Old School Marloes' and have a look - very excited....

Frizombie · 23/10/2007 13:56

will go and google that in a sec then
for pustulant Tilly, but glad she's bounced back quickly.
COT? another when, are you trying to tell us all something?

Caddy hellloooo! so glad for you that your moving again soon bye Austria, hello Switzerland, even if it is after Xmas, at least its sooner rather than another two years in hell right? wishing you much happiness in your new home when you finally get there

Where's everyone else then?

I guess no need to worry, we'll carry on with our random messages on this thread.

Cadmum · 23/10/2007 14:43

Thanks Friz and LL...

I am just back from parent-teacher conference with DS1's teacher and she ADORES him! She was actually sad that we are leaving. GO figure! ARGH! I really feel as though I cannot win for trying. I really wanted to leave until I started thinking about how hard it will be for him--again.

Friz: Brilliant news about the shop and dd2 being in a bed. WOW! Charlie is in a bed too--MINE!

LL: Another wee one. Yippee! I will live vicariously through you then, shall I? There is no way that I could cope with 5. Though it is tempting on the rare great day...

Uni: I hope the boy is feeling a bit better. HF&M is no fun.

UniSarah · 23/10/2007 19:15

Hi Cad, nice of you to pop by. sound like you have a lot on your plate at the mo. Hope you enjoy Christams before the move.
Boy is a very tired, very grumpy off his grub individual today, unless the grub in question is cream crackers, chocolate or ice cream. He was lovely in the garden centre tho- "helping" me push a trolley. I now have more soft fruit bushes to plant at the w/end. I resorted to the car twice today to make him chill out for a bit. Just waiting now to hear what time I hav eto get to Plymouth tomorrow, so thats another 2 car journeys for him.

Hey all, great to see you Caddy. Will Switzerland be a longer stint, or just another year?

DS had HFM a few eeks ago and was impossibly grump. He did get over it quickly though (but is now impossiby clingy and I need to wear him in a ling half the day )

We moved DS into DD's room 2 nights ago in the hope that they will go off to sleep btter in the evenings, as we often need to sit with one or both of them as they don't like droping off alone. Success so far! I am dropping DS's night feed at the same time, so just a morning feed soon. if you know what I mean.

I am sooooo broody for anther one (although stll enjoying the 'space' with DS and no impending birth)...but I MUST wait! Go LL!!!

Thinkng of you at the shop Friz, so glad its going well thus far.

Astrophe · 23/10/2007 20:38

oh, anyone seen DTM around lately?

UniSarah · 23/10/2007 20:58

Waves at Astro- Hi, busy round here tonight, nbut no not seen DTM recently. Hope boy doesn;t get THAT clingy. I'm taking him with me to a site meting tomorrow! have checked that teh peole I'm meeting are not about to give birth ;-)
Boy has discovered that the car number plate has "nipples" , the covered bolts holding it on, he stood there fiddling with them saying " ni ock". he is SUCH A BOY.

laundrylover · 23/10/2007 22:08

Slow down ladies it's only at the 'folic acid in the fruitbowl' stage at the mo - I may yet come to my senses!!!

Oh I can hear Tilly crying in her sleep - she is so run down and knackered. This, of course, makes her astoundingly grumpy...thank God for my ADs. Think she would be tied to a lamp-post outside by now if I wasn't on drugs.

Astro, sorry that your two are not sleeping well - mine settle fine in the same room and couldn't imagine how we'd get them down if they were not in together.

We had our first parent's evening too last week. Tilly's teacher said she was 'delightful' - she only lives a few doors down so no doubt she'll soon hear the tantrums!!

Frizombie · 23/10/2007 22:08

at the boy Uni, typical bloke. dd2 likes sticking her fingers into the car tyre rim bits so they come out black

Astro, not seen DTM for a while, Caddy have you heard from her? has she moved back to base?

laundrylover · 23/10/2007 22:10

I was thinking about DTM only today as was reading something about the RAF...hope she's OK.

Cadmum · 24/10/2007 14:04

I have not heard from DTW... I do know that her posts are limited to time spent in an internet cafe and I believe that she and her LO are in the house and that her DH is back in Barracks...

Quick good news update here, my cousin had a little girl today 6lbs 15oz whole family doing great, so happy for them

laundrylover · 25/10/2007 09:49

Friz I'm soo pleased for them!! Made my day. Does she have a name yet?

UniSarah · 25/10/2007 20:08

Its not just me is it- every thing on this site HAS changed colour and style?

Got boy to make a get well card today- we had a lovely time sticking pictures of cars and motor bikes on a piece of card. My BiL has a badly broke ankle after playing 5 a side . OUCH, his "mates " drove him to A&E, nutters, he could have had some pain relief if they had called an ambulance. he'll be in a pot for at least 6 weeks, slightly buggers their plans for flying to the states in 5 weeks.

OP posts:
Frizombie · 25/10/2007 22:31

Uni, ouch for bil, not nice, guess he'll be putting his hols back? sounds like you had a great afternoon sticking though

LL no name as of yet, they're doing a vote!

Ended up home 1.5hrs late tonight, as installed the cardnet machine, harharhar, why can't you just be able to plug something in and it do what the manual says it will do, had to call their helpdesk twice for two different codes before it would work, sigh.20 mins to install my arse!

Got a fun day tomorrow, as girls in nursery, but ss not! so hes got a day at the shop with me, I just hope he learns to shut up long enough for me to sell a few things to new punters! lol.

Astrophe · 25/10/2007 22:45

Hooyay Friz, so pleased for your cousin! Looking forward to hearing her name.

Glad you had a nice arvo Uni.

We spent the day at Chucklebutties (indoor play centre) - oh how I love that place. Even better now that DS can climb and slide and jump with the best of them (DD and her little friend), so us Mums sat back, had hot chocolate and paninis and only had to anminister cuddles and neurofen once to DS who banged his head and got a big bump. Lovely!

Left DD with at her friends house and I took DS to Sainsburys to do a shop, and the poor boy nodded off in the trolley, bless him. He woke with a start when he flopped and banged his head on the side, so after that I had to carry him around while he went back to sleep on my shoulder. Needless to say it turned into a very quick shopping trip - I will have to go again tomorrow to get the things I missed!

Up late making a birthday cake for a friend for tomorrow...lemon and coconut...mmmmmm.

UniSarah · 26/10/2007 20:14

sleeping in a trolley- wow he was tired.
So did SS shut up for a few mins friz?

I'm slightly envious of you who can take your kids to play barn type places. So far this summer I havn;t been able to get boy to even try them, hes either refused to get out of buggy or enter the building if on foot. MIGHT try again tomoorrow as my parents would like to visit a local botanical gardens that has one included in price. OR might drag parents over to teh steam railway that have a half price weekend . Guess which I'd rather do.

OP posts:
Astrophe · 26/10/2007 23:45

Uni, what is it that he doesn't like?

Just saying hello and drumming up support for this thread - will you keep it bumped ladies?

Nighty Night

x

Frizombie · 28/10/2007 14:31

That's odd Uni? is it the same place you keep trying him with, or just any of them?

Astro, I like it there too Xmas Smile

SS did shut up, however I had a crap day on Friday, lots of being rather poorly, bad tummy and the trots first thing, but was ok once got into work......thought it was my fault, for re heating a leak and brie potato bake, however ss was poorly this am, woke us up at 4am (and that's 2 days later, so more likely a bit of a bug) dh kindly got up with him, whilst I enjoyed the extra hour Xmas Smile

Have done Halloween stuff this am with all 3 of them, pumpkins, obligatory soup with remanants, candy apples, eaten for desert (turned dd2 black neck to tummy with the sugar strands melting everywhere!) and then gummy sweets, which I shall be adding to them shortly, before I take them upto meet dh from work and we go to the fair!

UniSarah · 28/10/2007 20:08

any and all of the wretched places. thankfully i havn't had to pay for one seperatly to a day out so far. I thought it was teh noise, but then he refused at a very quiet one early in teh morning. has refused at dedicated buildings and inflatables under marquees. Playgrounds however hard, he loves, and the small soft room at the childrens centre he will hurl himself around happily ( but hes been in there regular since tiny).
Its not a big deal really as we can always find something else to do, untill the birthday party season comes up and then we may have to consider carefully...

Thinking of dressing boy as a pirate for Halloweeen and he can give chocolate to his fan club when they come T or T ing. Suspect he will not like the masks so many kids seem to wear these days....
Right, off to watch top gear.

I don't like the new MN!!!! It's scary.

DP just taking kids to library for an hour whilst I tackle some overdue work so better get my backside in gear....family trip to dentists later.
