Astrophe · 07/06/2007 19:22

Oh, and LL I lol at DS2 sneaking some booby action from your sis!

Uni, it i so nice to watch them play and interact with other kids isn't it? I always try to watch DD for a few minutes when I pick her up from nursery, before she sees me.

Well, I'll keep saying hi for as long as we are online, but when I stop posting you will know why!

Frizbe · 07/06/2007 20:00

Astro your not preggers are you??? probably low blood sugar though if you're exercising eh.

LL hope you've not got what dh has had....

Smiley where are you then???

Uni, hope you have fun at tots sticking then

We're away working this weekend girls, so will see you next week!

Astrophe · 07/06/2007 21:20

eek, no, don't think so Friz, although it did occur to me too - been feeling really odd the last few days. Probably just a bit tense about the move though.

Have a good w/end Friz - off to another LARP site?

Frizbe · 07/06/2007 21:37

Test then hon!! just to be sure!!!

Yep off to a dark age village in York and ahem

UniSarah · 08/06/2007 15:06

laundrylover · 10/06/2007 22:11

ooh Uni, have a nice hol but guess I've missed you. You'd have been pround of us today - did a good afternoon out with the trailer. Along the canal to a dairy farm which has diversified and got a cafe. Great weather but need a second towbar as DP was knackered and I found it too easy pootling along behind.

Bet I'm the only one on the thread as you're all off having fun/working or moving house (whilst up the duff??!!)....

Frizbe · 10/06/2007 22:59

I'm back!!

Uni have a great time
Astro, hope your enjoying moving house (see I'm talking to ya, even though your not here)

What's happened to Smiley then?

So LL it's just you and me hon
How's that orange bathroom of yours?
Bike ride sounds nice

Dh and I had a nice weekend at work only ss in tow, who pretty much looks after himself these days, so we got a bit of quality us time in places The dd's missed us though, dd2 wouldn't leave my side for a good 15mins, when I picked her up from grans!

laundrylover · 11/06/2007 09:57

Sounds nice to have a weekend without the littleys! We are planning to have one for DPs 40th in Sept....ideas of where to go welcomed!

Just left the girls playing whilst I did a couple of work emails and Kiah got a tub of Epaderm grease out to play with - lovely!

Am in organised mode now so off to do breakfast pots, hang out washing and pack a bag before we go for a day out with friends. I've already watred the garden with last night's siphoned bath water so that's good going for me!!

Frizbe · 12/06/2007 19:00

Linthwaite
LL I recommend this place for your dh's 40th its great, a tad pricey, but the food is amazing, in fact the whole hotel is fab. Worth it for a night or too (we usually sneak for a mid week cheap deal in winter!!)

laundrylover · 12/06/2007 20:41

It looks fab Friz and the veggie menu has made me all nibbly!! However we did go to the Lakes last time and stayed in a veggie hotle which was a bit of a let down.He wants to go abroad somewhere but I am appealing to his carbon footprint and trying to stay UK based....

Frizbe · 12/06/2007 21:06

LL appeal to that footprint then! I assure you the place is great

ok so dd2 has turned into a contortionist, yelling her head off, so I go in, she's got both arms inside her sleepingbag and has turned it the wrong way around I can see pj's and a blanket on the horizion, followed by the child that climbs out of the cot........

Think she's teething too, sigh, another night of nurofen then!

Frizbe · 12/06/2007 22:24

Seems my little contortionist was happy once I took her out of the bag, found a pair of dd1's old pj's (in the right size, so guess dd1 did the 'lemme outa the bag' thing too) so she's asleep with a light blanket over her now

laundrylover · 13/06/2007 12:09

Awww...bet she looks all grown up in jammies eh? I can't find our light weight sleeping bag for Kiah so she has had a couple of nights without - it's been so hot. Much cooler last night though.

My cousin's are due any minute. One is going through chemo and the other has a two week old baby so am doing baked potatoes to build 'em up. My cousin is doing really well bfing this time as it didn't work out last time and I'm really proud of her - my auntie bottlefed all 8 of her kids!

Weigh in at SW tonight so really hope to get my elusive 2.5 stone certificate...only have to lost half a pound so surely I must be there!!! Then it's a race for the next stone off and then I'll call it a day I think.

laundrylover · 13/06/2007 17:39

Off to London for a couple of days work (and dinner with friends) so will catch up next week.

Have the option of going to the Turkish baths at Harrogate on a girly day out on Sat but am feeling a bit guilty at leaving the kids with DP three days running. Will see how I feel Friday.

Looking forward to my beer and curry with the Apprentice final tonight - what a saddo.

Frizbe · 14/06/2007 10:32

mmm beer and curry!! surely that's not good re the slimming though???

I watched it too, he's picked the wrong one again IMO. I think I should be running that show! or at least his hr dept, he's chosen the wrong one two years on the trot, fool.

Have fun in London (work, nah you won't) and defo go the baths on sat, you need relaxation time right

I'm off to Brum sat night for a belated drunken evening for my mates birthday can't wait!

So dh has been to dr's this am, he's now on the list to get the snip very proud of him, as he hates the medical profession, let alone the thought of his manhood being chopped about with.

Dd2 on the other hand is poorly....ate some float at swimming yesterday, not sure if this has anything to do with it? as was a bit squitty on Tue, but then ok yest, then last night after nearly choking on the float (2 slaps on back and she swallowed it instead of spitting out ) she threw up at 8pm, then this am has had nothing but runny nappies

Frizbe · 17/06/2007 19:48

I hope I'm not talking to myself here LL!!

Had fab night out in Brum last night, the girls and I went to Hotel du Vin and got v drunk, hurrah!! friend donated her bed to me for some quality sleep, whilst she had the futon?!! and I reckon I must have snored like a trouper, as fell asleep on my back and woke up at 7.30 in the same position I went to sleep in!! dozed until 9am, bliss, then had cafe fry up breakfast mmmmm nice.

Got back to grumpy dh, dd1 had forgotten to get his fathers day prezzies out and dd2 had thrown up when he sat her down for breakfast we thought she was over her bug, but guess not huh, bah!

laundrylover · 18/06/2007 19:17

No Friz, I'm here. Just popped on to check emials whilst DP plays with the girls in the bath. Your night away sounds fab - Harrogate was lovely too.

Hope Dd2 is better today.

Kiah can walk!!!!

Frizbe · 18/06/2007 21:57

Yay for Kiah walking go girl!! the house is now unsafe LL
So what did you get upto in Harrogate then?? just chillin?

Uni are you back yet??
Caddy?
Munz?
Smiley?
etc
too soon for Astro right!

Soooo dd2 still poorly, dr said keep to really bland food today, so poor mite had toast for breaky, lunch and tea, with a jammie dodger and a rice cake thrown in for tea as 'treat's, she started to say 'ungy', 'ungy' urgently at me as I put her to bed, but I had to say, sorry hon, no more food till tomorrow She also has huge glands, a red raw throat and a hellish temp hoping she sleeps some of it off tonight. Has spent most of the day lolling on me or asleep in bed. Not fun.

laundrylover · 20/06/2007 12:55

Hi Friz,

Sorry that DD2 is so poorly - we've not had that with either girls yet so we're lucky. Hope she is better now.

Harrogate was lovely but it's gone up to £16.50 so for me it's getting a but steep plus the staff are a bit off and don't enhance your experience! Also Betty's was too busy so we ate elsewhere - did bring a very naughty choc bomb home though. Planning on trying out the Titanic Spa next time which is near us....

Found a nursery for Kiah so she will start two days a week from sept - £30 a day which is top end up here but my mate will do drop off and pick up as I'll take her DD to pre school so it works out well.

GOt all excited about putting a modern glass extension on the back of our house to replace the three little add ons that re already there...will keep you posted. Would be one to save up for next year.

Anyone around????

UniSarah · 20/06/2007 21:51

back now. need to wash up. lots of washing to do. Bikes and trailer and tent all held up well, no meahanical failures. Bot V tired tho as short night on ferry, he wentto his room at 7pm, took a cushion off teh chair, put it on teh floor and lay down on it. I took the hint, he got bedtime.
More to come tomorrow maybe. working at weekend tho.

OP posts:
Frizbe · 20/06/2007 22:48

Uni glad it all went well lol at boy and cushion

LL, ooh do tell, I keep having nice conservatory thoughts here, but would love to get a house where I could do one of those expensive outside in extensions with full retracting glass wall type thing (when I'm a millionaire eh!) could you do something like that?
Great news re nursery we pay another 1.50 more per day for dd2 here

Horrible day of teeth here, just when I thought she was getting better yesterday, she spends 4 hrs none stop screaming here I look into her mouth and not 1 but 4 molars are showing and attempting to break through, not one to do things by halves my dd2

laundrylover · 20/06/2007 23:36

Welcome back Uni and Tired Boy! Tell us more of your adventures when you get a break from the housework!

Friz, your DD2 is really having a time of it eh? You know these things come in threes so what do you reckon next - chickenpox??

Folding doors and glass walls is the kind of thing we want - cost is an issue but it would motivate me to do some more work to save up for it. Google 'Apropos Conservatories' who are a local firm for some ideas.....still in the dream stages at the mo. However today we did make a final decision on our bathroom suite (it isn't orange) and saw a funky radiator in an ex dispaly sale for £300 down from £700 so may have to buy that tomorrow.

Frizbe · 21/06/2007 15:10

ooh I fancy a funky radiator too!! in our ensuite when we get around to re vamping it, it'll cost as much to get a cheap new bathroom as it would to replace just the sink, sigh!! bloomin mushroom coloured thing that no one makes anymore..... will go and look at conservatories now!!
dd2 alread had the pox! lol......has cheered up today, been to soft play, she'd forgotten how much fun she could have with other kids I think, is now napping

laundrylover · 21/06/2007 15:15

Ah the power of soft play!
We are experiencing the same with the bathroom suite. The whole thing costs about £550 from B and Q which is about how much the shower screen alone costs elsewhere! We aren't going to use the sink as we've bought a nice square one to sit on top of a chest of drawers (as yet to be found in bargain second hand place!).

I have phoned the glass people and booked a designer to come round!!! Mind you when she told me the cost of some of the ones on the web I found it hard to remain cool and aloof. '40k you say? yes well we just want to get the drawings done at this stage.....'.
