Good re count Astro! lol

Smiley I've mail'd you the photos

SmileyC · 15/05/2007 15:01

Hmmmm. Just lost post!
Anyway, I said that it makes a nice change for me not to look like a muppet in a photo!
Also, was thinking that I will just get friends/family to sponsor me via someone else's just giving site since it's all going into the same pot and it will save me setting up a page. Reckon that's ok?

SmileyC · 15/05/2007 15:01

Ooops. Frizbe-forgot to say thanks!

Frizbe · 15/05/2007 19:35

I reckon that's ok smiley, so long as the money goes into the pot, I reckon it doesn't matter!

SmileyC · 15/05/2007 21:12

Just popped on to say a quick hello. Want to go and read for a bit before the wind down for bed. DS did not have his nap til 2pm so today was rather tiring!
Hope you are all well.

UniSarah · 15/05/2007 21:35

Seems you bunch had a good mile. We had a very wet weekend in not so sunny devon- thats how it gets to be such a green county so I can;t complain. We did very little. didn;t wantto go out anywhere as wassoo wet. On sunday we ut teh tent up in teh living room and played in teh tent getting boy used to teh idea, we will having him sleeping in it at some point soon.

Eurovision- France was robbed, they should have won, all that pink and black campness and teh furry pussy! Dh and I had a pleasent evening slobbed in front of teh box with euro inspired snacks .Mucho scoffing of olives and humus.

Its breatfeeding awareness week( BFW) . I'm a tad busy I'm distrubuing BFW pens and leaflets on BF topics at 4 parenta nd babay things this wek. Boy is going back to baby massage tomorrow! I don;t know how well that will work hes at least 2 months older than any other child in teh group!
. I may have to take him off teh sensory room while the tinies have their massage and then join them for coffee and chat after. On friday boy is going to toddler group with out me as i can;t take him to a new baby group for under 0-6 months olds.
off to read more widely.

ooh, good news froma Health visitor - mine has asked what the cost of the peer supporter training I'm doing* is and says she will apply to the PCT training fund to pay it for me!

Yay Uni that's great news
Hope you have massage fun with ds, you never know he may sit still and get into it?

Just watched Silent Hill, now there's an odd movie!

laundrylover · 16/05/2007 10:13

Hi all,

Had a day in London yesterday interviewing 15 staff in prep for facilitating a staff day on Monday - was bloody knackering, felt like a councellor and everyone offloaded on to me!

On Monday I 'graduated' as a peer councellor through La Leche League -the lady mayor gave us our certs and fleecy jacket and t-shirt. It was a jolly, family affair and tied in well with BFW and all the media coverage of bfing. I'm popping down to Sainsbury's on Fri to look at our stall but am up to my eyeballs in work at the mo. Typical that as soon as I qualify I have no time for volunteering.

Hope the boy enjoyed his massage...just reminded me to book a haircut and maybe a massage this afty...better get this planning done sharpish.

Astrophe · 16/05/2007 12:02

Sounds exhausting - the train trip alone would ruin me I think! Have got a snotty cold, so I'm soooo tired. Agent is bringing someone through this arvo to view the house, so I realy should be tidying it up a bit.

Congrats on graduating for the councelling!

Off to sit on the settee and chat to my Nanna wilst eating food in the street using a serviette. Ta. LL

laundrylover · 16/05/2007 12:13

A bit of peace and quiet on the train is no bad thing Astro.

Just off to the 'loo', how posh am I??

Flamesparrow · 16/05/2007 19:30

Oooh oodles of breastfeedin stuff over here

Jut stopped by to be nosey really

Frizbe · 17/05/2007 10:28

Flame

Astro, we have snot too, is it nice and green?

Does Rodeo live in Ripley then? sure it was her I said hi to in passing yesterday in the street (but then I do tend to say hi to quite a lot of people whom I only vaguely know, its that kind of town!) I think it was her, as she looked kinda shocked then sheepish!

LL, my dd2 seems to want to type to you at the mo so will dash and talk more later!

laundrylover · 17/05/2007 11:00

Really need to get some work done today but can't get started....thinking about my soggy nappies on the line....all the stuff that needs doing before we go away next week....wondering what has happened to Maddy...thinking that I really don't want to go to the playgroup committee meeting tonight!!!

Need a kick up the bum today or just some bloody sunshine.

Anyone else about??

laundrylover · 17/05/2007 11:24

I just saw Skibump on a due New Year thread!! She obviously wasn't just sking on her hols!

Anyone else really broody then????

Astrophe · 17/05/2007 12:41

NO!!! A friend with an 8 month old is 10 weeks preggers I found out yesterday! Not for me thanks! But I think the fact that we have decieded to wait until back in Aus for another makes it easy not to be broody - its not really an option.

So what were YOU doing o the new year babes thread LL???? Hmmmm???

(aside - DD has just put a toy giraffe in her pants and told me she has a willy! Now she is 'piddling' with it. Hmmmmm.)

Just back from the gym - another one hour 'ballet fit' class (although did no ballet as far as I could tell). I am so hilariously uncoordinated - always going one way while the rest of the group goes the other

Off to do the inventory at new house today, so that DH can move the sofas in that we bought off ebay, although we don't move for another few weeks.

LL, am cross about the weather too. Its actually fine to get things dry on the radiators in winter, or on the line on a good day, but at the mo all our heating is off, and there is no sun, so everything is soggy and the washing bin is overflowing.

Go do some work LL, set yourself a time and then pop back to MN for another 10 mins as a reward.

Astrophe · 17/05/2007 12:41

Oh, Friz, I think Rodeo lives in Derby

laundrylover · 17/05/2007 13:01

Astro, that's how bored I am - just looking at any old thread, believe me you'd know if I was up the duff!!

I've got some washing in anyway, going to peg out the big stuff and put the underwear on the radiators for an hour this evening. The weather is sooo miserable.

Tilly was wriggling around the other day and when I asked her what the matter was she said 'my fanny's gone a bit willy'!????

Astrophe · 17/05/2007 13:06

Oh, I am bored too - I have found MN fairly drab over the last week or so, but yet am always on here, checking news for any positive news about litte Madeleine.

I was just reading the latest Madeleine thread - its absolutely awful, everyone is fighing and being horrible, so I will stay well away. Don't mind a bit of an MN scrap normally, but not about this

Off to do the house invertory...Maybe see you later.

laundrylover · 17/05/2007 13:20

I haven't read any of the Maddy threads - what on earth are people fighting about? Whether the kids should have been left in a room or not I imagine. I just keep checking the BBC website but in truth I find it hard to even think about the whole affair. I can't imagine what the family are going through. Anyway here is not the place to discuss it.

I can smell my baked potatoes so off for spuds with beans and cheese, washing out and neighbours.

Get that inventory sorted woman!

Astrophe · 17/05/2007 15:07

its done! hurrah! DH will move sofas (purple!!!) in tonight - he has to collect them from Wolverhampton. We will move some stuff out of the loft as well, while he have the hire truck, and then leave the rest for the real move.

It was nice to see
the house again - reminded me why we are moving, despite all the fuss and bother it is!

LL, Do sstay away from them. Fighting has moved on from 'should the parents have left them' to 'should they be punished', and the curent fight is over whether or not posters on the threads are rubbernecking and indulging their sleuth fantasies, blah blah blah. Its truly awful and has really upset me to see it, so I am staying off it now.

Off to make dinner.

BTW, are eggs ok for dieting? And also, DH sAYS THAT If you cut all the fat off bacon it is 'fat free' - I said it wasn't, but i wish it was!

laundrylover · 17/05/2007 15:35

Well eggs are totally free on SW and I think so is bacon with all the fat cut off but not an expert in these meaty matters. Depends how you're going to cook your egg though...my fave SW pig out is Quorn sausage, SW chips, fried egg and beans. Yum. How's the diet going BTW? I got weighed last night and have lost more than Tilly weighs now. I'm going to try and get my 2 and a half stone cert next week in time for my sisters wedding but have to lose 2.5 pounds so will really have to make an effort.

The Maddy threads sound horrible. You know, I think that family are being punished enough for anything they might have done.

We are off to a wedding in a Youth Hostel in Sept and we are having 3 families in a dorm and doing a babywatch rota. I know that chances are soo slight but it has made us think.

Astrophe · 17/05/2007 16:57

I agree, what punishment could be worse than their suffering?

Diet is ok - its only been 10 days though!!! I do sometimes long for breadv and nutella though - have had it a few times for breajy - nutella and banana on toast. mmmmmmm.

Have been eating omlettes, hence wondering about eggs.

2.5 stonE is AMAZING!!! I am hoping to lose 12kg, which i think is 2 stone roughly?

dc rampaging, must go

laundrylover · 17/05/2007 17:01

Keep me updated on how much you lose Astro. I tell you it feels great - bought a pair of size 14 next jeans from our charity hop yesterday and was well chuffed!

laundrylover · 17/05/2007 17:29

Hey Astro, get over to the SW thread there's a recipe involving Ryvita and Nutella - I thought of you!!

Frizbe · 17/05/2007 18:19

I think my fav way of dieting is eating the usual food, just smaller portions, has seemed to work so far for me, that along with an hours exercise 3 times a week. I think if you just limit yourself to one or two cakes a week in my case, instead of cake everyday that helps too!!! oh that and meringues for my sweet tooth, only 1 point on WW
