Any idea what sort of time people are staying until? I know someone had to get kids off for jabs. Are other people hanging about after?

Astrophe · 11/05/2007 21:25

we wont be able to stay too long as DS needs to sleep, and DD will need some down time I expect! We can stay until about 1 or so though. Off to find my mobile number smiley!

laundrylover · 11/05/2007 21:40

Smiley I'll prob hang about until 2ish. Mind you Kiah has been off colour the last two days with a temp so I'm going to see how she sleeps tonight before I make a final decision. Last night she was up for hours.

I thought it was a reaction to her MMR last week but now she has a couple of sores round her mouth, as do Tilly and I so am worried it may be Hand, Foot and Mouth...will do a bit of research now.

Uni, you know I always just click on 'last 15 mins' and see what catches my eye. I think the words 'pegging washing' jumped out.

SmileyC · 11/05/2007 21:40

That's fine. Want to get back to DH anyway. 1ish sound sgood to me. We may get driven home by rain though. Hope not!

SmileyC · 11/05/2007 21:43

Cheers for email Astrophe-now I understnad your login name!
Right....really must go get a pink top.....I suppose that means leaving the pc!

Frizbe · 11/05/2007 21:44

Yep will be about until 1 ish here too
Smiley, the directions I gave take you to the end of the park you need to be at
LL hope its not hand foot n mouth if it is ours can swap a cold for it eh

Frizbe · 11/05/2007 21:44

Have posted a link to donations, we didn't bother with a derby giving page, as so long as you donate, it doesn't matter! no need to get picky over whose done what, so long as the money goes to the right place

laundrylover · 11/05/2007 21:58

Hmmm, does sound like hand, foot and mouth. Seem to recall Tilly had it when she was smaller too. Anyway it's only contagious thru touch etc. but I would feel really bad if we passed it on to any of your kids...what do you reckon??? The girls pink clothes are laid out all ready to go .

SmileyC · 11/05/2007 22:10

Will donate of course-already donated to Yoks Sculpture Park walk.
Thanks for directions. Was being a sieve-head!

Right. I'm off to sit with Dh before bed.
Pink top just had a rinse through and is spinning!
See you all tomorrow.
Night night.x

laundrylover · 11/05/2007 22:13

Right, I'm def coming but no snogging ok??

Looks easier to go across to the M1 and down to the A38 than head across country, especially if it's rainy and miserable.

See you there. I have no pink clothes but might dig out a pair of pink knickers so that I don't feel left out.

Frizbe · 11/05/2007 22:20

Coor and why don't we all have pink rain clothes ladies???

laundrylover · 11/05/2007 22:37

Friz, how long do you reckon it'll take me via the M1? It's about 40 mins to Junc 35a from my house...

AA reckons it'll take longer than via Ashbourne but I'm sceptical...

Frizbe · 11/05/2007 22:40

hmm J35a to J28 depending on the road works at Sheffield...we did it tonight in an hour! and that was Wakefield to Ripley, so ? how long does Ashbourne take normally? quite slow from what I remember.....gona turn in now anyway, having spam'd a fair few people with the madeline poster, my old work, may not be happy with me!

laundrylover · 11/05/2007 22:41

Hmmm, roadworks you say...will have a think.

Got your email, thanks.

See you in the morning chuck.

SmileyC · 12/05/2007 14:55

Had a nice morning with you all. Was lovely meeting everyone. Will now get on and get in some sponsorship! Was nice to be a part of something special. Hope that it helps in some way.
DS still asleep after drive home and DH taking over when he wakes, so I get some me time!
Ahhhhhh. He awake! Bye for now.

Rodeo · 12/05/2007 16:04

Hi! Just popping in to say it was great to meet you all today - LL (found the YH BTW - Hartington Hall? Looks lovely!) Smiley, Astrophe and Frizbe - and all your beautiful children! Thanks for a lovely walk

SmileyC · 12/05/2007 16:43

Rodeo-was nice to meet you too. Hope to see you again.
Well, my me time ended up tidying for a well over an hour! I now have 35mins left! Might order a book about Beatrix Potter. Saw Miss Potter the other day-actually sat down during DS's nap, unplugged the phone and watched the whole film-I said bugger the jobs for once!
WARNING SEMI-SPOILER FOR MISS POTTER BELOW
I was really enjoying the film but then it get really sad all of a sudden (I won't say why in case people read this and it spoils it!) Anyway, that left me feeling rather depressed and I didn't cheer up fully. Want to watch it again now though, now I know the sad bit is coming I will prob take it a little better.Anyone else see it? I did really enjoy it though, just shocked at the sudden change of tone....

Astrophe · 12/05/2007 18:54

Thanks everyone for coming, it was good hey?

Rodeo, you should drop by here and 'see' us now and again on our thread - and any time you are in sunnyhill too! Think you may be my closest MN neighbour!

LL, hope you got home ok - Luie is still talking about your dd 'Mortimer'!

Friz - thanks for organising! Lu is very taken by your DD as well..."my friend busy!" (shes really not great with names - like her mum!)

Smiley - great to meet you and your DS!

Uni - well, you should have come up! Its only a short drive...

Frizbe · 12/05/2007 20:16

awwww busy eh!! busy likes her lots too my new friend she said, but sadly couldn't remember her name, pah 3 year olds!

Was a lovely walk, so nice to see everyone, off to watch Eurovision now, speak soon!

laundrylover · 12/05/2007 20:21

Had a lovely few hours in the park so thanks all. Girls slept for 1.5 hours on the way home and won't go down to bed now...DP taken over after I had a strop!

Rodeo, yes, that's the YH, you were quicker than me in finding it!

BTW we walked out of the park by the Home Farm and it looked worth popping in. A quid to go in but just a proper little farm with piglets, lambs and the cafe looked much nicer than the Orangery too.

I have the hugest mountain of washing up to tackle now....DP cooked pizza and ginger snaps...yummy but messy.

laundrylover · 12/05/2007 20:22

Yeah, Tilly told DP that 'Eli was a big girl'.

Frizbe · 12/05/2007 22:33

ooh may pop by the farm sometime soon then!

Astrophe · 13/05/2007 21:42

let me know when you do friz, I might join you!

LL, the photos of DS in his bright pink top will come out at the 21st!

Frizbe · 14/05/2007 19:36

Smiley I've sent the mile photos to Astro and LL, I will do you soon, I just need to find your email address again its on a small note book that was in my bag! think dd1 may have had it gota quiz her am......will mail you as soon as I get it!

Astrophe · 14/05/2007 21:39

Oh and Friz, from the photos, we had 9 Mums and 16 kiddies at the walk.

Uni, have we scared you away with all our Northern chatter? Hope you are ok
