kayzed-that is just such a brilliant and hilarious video. It was like watching a clip of DD1 at that age. Sophie can't even hold a beaker-only wants mummy to feed her drink to her. As for pulling her sunhat off-nah!

Hi girls,

I hope you can remember me after my loooooooonnnnnnnng absence. I haven't posted since before Christmas, although I have been a major stalker and have kept up to date with all messages everyday. I feel like I know you all really well and wonder how everyones day has gone.

Anyway, have had a bit of a rough time over the past few months and didn't really know how to ask for support so didn't post anything just read everyone else's messages. See, I am now posting but still feel a bit daft.

I have been suffering quite badly with PND and at times have really not coped with Abbey very well. (Now that I write that it sounds even worse than it did in my head.) I also felt very stupid as she is my 3rd, so surely I should be finding it easier??

My Aunty (who I thought of as a kind of 2nd mum) died in January 3 days after the 5 year anniversary of my mums death, which probably didn't help matters as I don't think I took it very well.

Also, Ross my eldest, didn't get into any of his choices for secondary school so has been offered a place at the local comp, (which is very rough and he will be eaten alive). He has finally been diagnosed with Asperger's Syndrome after 4 years of trying to get some help and knowing that something wasn't right.

On a more positive note though (I am seriously not this miserable all the time) Abbey is doing fab, she is crawling at some serious speeds now, mostly sleeping through, eating really well but still has no teeth.
Pics here

Sorry that my first post back is a miserable one, will be more positive from now on.

Take care all

love Jeanie
xx
ps- will change my name back now!!

madness · 14/04/2007 17:15

can't keep up!!!
dd2 sleeping on my lap at the moment so 1 hand free at the moment
agalch waiting for the pics!
jjb, having no 3 doesn't mean you know it all, I often get anxious about things. Problem is also that I just can't remeber how the other 2 were at that age.

Must say dd2 now bit better. Have finally managed to get all 3 dc in the same nursery from this week onwards. dd2 is now also eating ok and drinking water from cups. So haven't really expressed for last 2 weeks. I don't work FT so she gets plenty of opportunity to get it straight from the source...

dd1 just had chickenpox, so waiting for dd2 to get it....Luckely dd1 was fine with it.

better stop

Twinklemegan · 14/04/2007 20:03

Hi Jeanie. Glad you're back. I'm so sorry you've been having a rough time of it. Do you have a DP/DH? I can't remember . Abbey is absolutely gorgeous - such a beautiful little girl. I'm so sorry your son didn't get any of his school choices - the system seems so unfair. What a nightmare. So sorry to hear about his Asperger's, though it must be relief in a way to have a dignosis. I don't know much about it I'm afraid - is there any treatment/therapy he can have? Keep posting, and say whatever you need to - we're all here to support each other .

Ceebee - sorry, yes Aidan's got a tooth (and make that two now - the one next to it's virtually through as well). But it's not all it's cracked up to be - as well as sucking our faces like mad he now bites as well - nice!

Agalch - can't wait to see your pics. So glad you had a lovely day. It'll take you ages to get used to being Mrs Agalch.

Madness - I hope your dd2 doesn't get the chickenpox just yet. Do you think she definitely will?

Evening ladies

Jeanie-oh hun. I am so sorry to hear about your troubles. Not surprised you have had PND. Like the others say, please post however you feel. Every single one of your pics are truly special and hasn't she got a lot of hair.

Mrs A-why are you doing the bathroom when you should be in the honeymoon period Any luck with the pics???

Ceebee-don't worry about teeth as DD1 didn't get hers until 10 months. She was too busy crawling.

madness-gosh, hope the chickenpox doesn't spread.

Well ladies, guess how much milk Sophie has had today?.....................................Absolutely nothing! First thing this morning when she is usually OK she screamed and pushed away. Tried tonight and she screamed loads. Am going to try once more tomorrow then I will put her on cows milk as she is nearly 10 months. She has it on her cereal and is fine with it. Have tried expressing and got a 1/4 oz out so really don't think I have the time and inclination to try and get my supply back.

Have bought some paint and am going to have a go at doing the kitchen. DH so against me doing it but if I don't get on with it then he will never get round to it.

Have a good evening girls.

Morning ladies

Just a quickie to say Sophie completely refusing any BF so have given her cows milk in a Tommee Tippee sippy cup and she drank some-not much though so she obviously can't be that hungry.

Enjoy the sun.

Twinklemegan · 15/04/2007 10:48

HC - I'm sorry it's all gone wrong for you with the breastfeeding. Well done for getting this far .

I forgot last night to tell you all my cuuute story. I took Aidan shopping to Tesco yesterday morning and sat him in the trolley seat. He was happy and jolly all the way around, smiling and staring at everyone and I got loads of comments [proud emotion]. Then when I was nearly finished his eyes started drooping and he started swaying and by the time I got to the checkout he'd fallen asleep! I had to support his head with one hand and unpack with the other (with help from a kind lady in front of me). He did bang his head and woke up a bit so I got him out and he fell right back to sleep on my shoulder so I held him there while I packed the trolley. He didn't wake up again til we got home!

That boy is so strange. He will fall asleep in the daytime absolutely anywhere, except at home

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2007 13:01

My God, how sick can one baby be???????????? Can't be the cows milk surely as she has been having it for brekkie for ages now. Hoping it is a bug like Roshi had yesterday.

Twinkle-many a time I have used my handbag or a pack of loo rolls as a pillow in the Tesco trolley.

algach - lovely photos, you look so fantastic in that dress

jeanie - sorry you've been having a tough time, sounds like you've had a lot to deal with

Well, we had a great night with only one wake-up for a feed at 3.30 this morning, then slept until 7 (from bedtime at 6.30). Now that DS has really got the hang of rolling he does it ALL the time, especially when I'm changing his nappy. He also rolls over and over to get across the room to reach things that he wants (esp my laptop cable )

Hi Girls

Agalch - oh how lovely, I had a tear in my eye [blurry] with all your children being there, and everyone looks so happy. What an amazing setting too.

Us - Zack is beautiful, what a lovely set of photos and he?s standing up on his own as well, blimey! He looks very thoughtful too. How fab that he?s giving kisses

HC - Sophie looks gorgeous too, with her faraway look, love her HC dungarees! re the bf, I think like you say though it would be so much hard work to try and go back, probably not worth the stress when you can just get on with enjoying her otherwise. Sorry can?t remember, does she have formula? I think it?s supposed to be a bit more digestible than raw cow?s milk if you think that may a problem. Hope she?s better soon.

Annie - re the beer garden and wet wipes, we?ve just done that today! You?ve got a lot on your plate, sounds like you?re doing amazingly

Pavlov - love the pics, gorgeous ones of you on the beach, and the one with the flower is great, she looks so happy Sounds like she?s troughing down her food as well, that?s fab!

Bloss - Friday night was red wine night for us as well (but then most of our other nights have some sort of alcohol theme too? )

Ceebee - hope all goes well with your brother and his girlfriend, congrats!

Sleep - sorry to hear about your fright with the Calpol, must have been very scary

Hi Wallace and Mae

Twinkle - Emma often has very long sleeps in the morning when she?s at home too, 2 hrs plus. I usually wake her up just to make sure she?s okay as I can?t believe she?s sleeping for so long! Emma?s beaker drinking is a bit crap really, I tried the ones with the valve but gave up as they have to bite the spout really quite hard to get anything out and I didn?t want to get her into that habit The non-valve ones with the holes in the spout just seem to go all down her front, though I guess she?s swallowing a bit.

Lol at the babies falling asleep in the supermarket trolley! I just can?t imagine Emma ever doing that, she is such a nosy fishwife she would be afraid of missing something. She will only nap well at home where it?s really boring!

Jeanie - lovely to hear from you and sorry to hear you?ve had such a rough time Do keep posting and hope things improve very soon. Abbey is gorgeous btw!

Madness - good to hear the childcare nightmare is getting better, fingers crossed for you Emma has rice milk (from bottle) and water (from cup) at nursery as I can?t express enough to keep her going when I?m there.

Kayzed - how is Roshi today?

Well better get on the do the ironing - will catch up a bit more later on xxx

HumphreysCorner · 15/04/2007 16:31

OMG what beautiful photos of your wedding agalch- you are a radiant bride just as I had imagined. Thanks for putting them up kayzed.

Have had a lovely afternoon with Sophie in DD1's old swing and DD1 in her paddling pool and on her bouncy castle-will post pics later but, and here is the downer.................................DH and I just sat down outside with a cuppa when DD1 announced she wanted a poo while she was splashing about. We told her to go and have one then while she was in the toilet DH spied a floating poo in the pool then a lump on the patio. She had waited so long that it had come out. Now, what would you have done? DH cleared the poo and took himself out of the way before he batted her one and I would have shouted blue murder at her if the neighbours hadn't been there. Have banned Beebies for a week again but don't know how else to show her how cross I am. She thought it was funny.

Time for Sophie's tea-see if she can keep that down!

Laters.

Lysettes · 15/04/2007 18:08

hi everyone

will look at the photos but agalch congratulations - when i have a chance to look i will

HC Jacob has been so sick in recent weeks - basically just keeping half strength milk down and no solids at all. he went from a cold to an eye infection to the throwing up to a chest infection... on antibiotics for 3 days now and the difference is amazing! we have a paed appointment booked for him on friday to make sure the vomitting is nothing else worrying.

the half strength milk was a great tip from our Gp and it did help to keep some nourishment inside him - you could try that.

just got broadband on last night so will have a good look through all the messages in next day or so and get back into it all!

hope everyone is enjoying the weather (and coping with the poo HC, you poor thing)

IamBlossom · 15/04/2007 19:52

Great but exhausting weekend, Thomas day yesterday was fab, and have spent the whole day today in the garden with paddling pool etc, and my trusty orange bikini (note to self, must buy new bikini, and yes KZ, it is the same one I was wearing whilst preggers....)

KZ - fantastic movie, I will try and get one of Tobes up. She is hilarious. "I don't want to wear my hat thanks. I said i don't WANT to wear my hat! NO HAT! OOKAAAAY???? JESUS!!" PMSL.

Jeanie. Hello lovely. Great to hear from you, so glad you posted. Your pictures were lovely, what good looking children, some great ones of Abbey. What tough times you have been having this year, so sorry about your Auntie.

Mrs Algach, well what can i say apart from wow. You look downright amazing, I love your hair!! And your dress is stunning! back to earth with a bump eh, BBQs and cleaning bathrooms for guests that don't show. I am dead chuffed you had such a great day, you deserved it.

Well that sit in toy I bought for Toby got sold to our houseguests this weekend. he whinges every time I put him anywhere near it, but their 7 month old seemed to love it so I thought may as well get rid and get my money back. He is happiest sitting on a blanket with toys watching H...

HC - sorry DD1 is being trying. maybe she does it cos she KNOWs she will get a mahoosive reaction from you both???? What do I know, H runs rings around me most of the time....

Hope the weather continues like this.

Bloss

PavlovtheCat · 15/04/2007 20:16

Algach - OMG, you look beautiful. What a fantastic wedding! I am so glad it went well hujn

Jeanie - I have not spoken before. I came onto mn after my mum passed away, also in January, and I needed input from people outside of my family. I am sorry to hear about your aunty, and want you to know I am thinking of you . If you ever want to talk, I am here, as everyone else is too. It sounds like you have had a horrendous time recently .

KZ - I love your piccy of Roshi pulling her hat off! DD does this all the time too! How familiar! She is beautiful BTW, I love the poncho!

DD is good, eating lots, but not sleeping through anymore! Good for the short time it lasted. She is just the most wonderful precious baby girl and I just keep feeling like I did when she was first born, she is starting to look like herself now, rather than a newborn, and its great. I wonder if part of this is because I am working, maybe its bringing back emotions (not that they went, but intensity went a bit).

One of my contact lenses has a spot on it, and I cant wear it . I am very cery naughty and not gone back for my checkup yet so they wont give me anymore until I do, and I cant get an appt immediately, and I am at work at 8am in the morning, cant take any time to get it sorted as I have a client coming in at 9:30am . I am soo annoyed with myself as I should have got it sorted last week, but went on Dartmoor instead!! . God its only my second week back, last week I was deaf due to blocked ears, this week I am going to be blind, what will they think of me?
